Fantastic experience: If you have to go to the Dentist - GO HERE! Top shelf Dentistry - truly spa like if you can imagine ... Today's visit, I got to experience the ceiling TV, the newest addition to the procedure rooms. I love the banter in the office while I'm there and Dr. Cornacchio humming when she is really in 'the zone' just adds to the overall experience. Dr. Cornacchio is gentle, communicative and her precision and expertise are stellar. She talks with you as she enters the room, before things begin. That matters. She will check to make sure you are doing OK while she is working on your teeth which shows her compassion and care in her work. The kindness in the office does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. If you have to spend some money, or are lucky enough to have dental benefits - I highly recommend you give River Family Dentistry a try!

Fantastic experience: Had my fist appointment. So much better then what I was expecting. Their chairs have built in massage. They have state of the art equipment, that allows for a virtual image of our teeth. Friendly and kind. Not like the last dentistry that was by M&M's C.O.D (won't name the place). I made the switch and all I could think of is, why did I not do it sooner. Pleased patient.

Negative experience: Bottom - line focused beginning from the receptionist and the doctor as well. Never ever gonna vist this dental again . Thank you! I came in for a cleaning, but I was charged $320 for X-rays and other procedures I didn’t consent to — and no cleaning was done. That’s not what I booked or expected. I’d like to discuss this and see how it can be resolved fairly.

Fantastic experience: A very professional and motivated intelligent, courteous and caring staff, they truly care about their patients and take the time and put in the effort to properly address your needs and concerns and take the time to educate the youngsters on the importance of brushing and flossing and a good oral hygiene routine. The Drs are very caring and attentive and address any questions or concerns and walk you through a procedure and ease any anxiety. The Dental assistants are beautiful people, very attentive and kind, always smiling and make you feel like you are a part of the River Family Family, and they take the time to put you at ease if you have anxiety like myself their caring and calming character is a blessing. the hygienists are very caring and will be sure to have your teeth and gums healthy so smile with confidence, The office staff are friendly and accommodating and work with you to schedule appointments that work for you and always greet you with a warm friendly smile. This Dental office truly is caring and family oriented from the way the staff approach every aspect of you and your family members care. Fantastic experience: Amazing and welcoming staff, the Dentists and their wonderful assistants work together like a real team, cordial friendly and efficient taking the time to explain each step of your treatment and the highly knowledgeable Dr's and Assistants can and will explain best oral hygiene practices and take the time to educate children on the importance of oral hygiene. The front desk is friendly and welcoming and work to accommodate your schedule and needs whether maintenance, cleanings or emergency appointments, The hygienists are very skilled and efficient. The office manager along with the amazing Dr's, Assistants Hygienists and front desk staff work together so well they are like a pit crew Team Ferrari of Formula One. I cannot express enough how wonderful this office is. I am an indigenous man who was terrified of Dentist appointments and being indigenous I have respect and hold Matriarchs in High regard and the staff of River Family eased my anxiety with kindness and care and an all female staff and Woman owned is a rare thing in a mans world which is a beautiful thing. These women are just wonderful human beings and I appreciate and respect all they do. Fantastic experience: River Family Dentistry has exceeded all my expectations! Everyone I encountered was very professional and attentive. The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, which was a nice surprise for me because I got to see my teeth from a perspective I’ve never seen before! Making an appointment was very easy and they were exactly on time! The entire space was very clean (which is important to me) and lots of room in the waiting area. I have already recommended this team to my friends because I truly feel they are the best in the KW area. Highly recommended… You will not be disappointed!

Negative experience: We had been going to this dentist office for a while before we moved out of city and didn't have any issues. When we returned in 2022 things started to feel off. My son in this time had gotten braces and we went in for a cleaning, the hygienist told my mom who took my son that he had cavities all across the top of his teeth. He got his cleaning and we let it go. Figured they were new and learning. Notified the front office. The next time he went in we were told that he had 7 cavities that needed to be filled. I pushed it off and he got his cleaning. They grinded down the bumpers that our orthodontist had put on so his teeth wouldn't hit his braces. That was it for me. I've since found a new dentist and it has been confirmed that he does not have cavities and his teeth are very health. I even spoke with them about these issues prior to leaving and was told they would look into it. But after speaking with them about these issues and how they assured me their hygienist wouldn't have said or done that I advised them we wouldn't be returning.

Fantastic experience: While visits to the dentist are my least favourite things to do the staff always make me feel as comfortable as possible throughout my appointments. Both Dr. Cornacchio and Naureen always check in with me throughout the work being done, taking breaks, ensuring I'm doing ok. I've been at this clinic since it's inception and always have had wonderful work completed that outlasts the anticipated life expectancy. All the hygenists take great care that I'm comfortable during cleanings and make adjustments to the instruments used to help with my sensitivity levels. Laurie always greats clients with a friendly greeting and smile and has been more than helpful with getting me estimates ahead of time or any paperwork I've needed for insurance purposes. I highly recommend this dentistry to anyone in need of any of their services. Keep up the fantastic work!

Fantastic experience: This was the best dental experience I've ever had. I've been for three appointments this month so have a good sense of things. My first appointment was a general consultation and exam. The office is equipped with useful and modern technology that allows for a thorough and comfortable experience. My second appointment was a cleaning and I believe my hygienists name was Emily(sorry I can't remember if this is right!). She was fabulous. I indicated to her that I have some sensory issues with sounds and sensation and she was incredibly patient and accommodating. She explained what different tools would sound like before she used them and what textures or sensations I might experience. She gave me several short breaks to help me stay relaxed. If you are Autistic/ADHD or experience other sensory issues I highly recommend this office. Today I was in for a filling and was permitted to wear noise canceling headphones to help me stay relaxed and comfortable in what is never a super relaxing experience. Dr. Naureen was warm and kind, worked efficiently and did her best to make me comfortable alongside the hygienist. The receptionists are also very kind and helpful! Thank you to the team for helping me get comfortable at the dentist again. Morgan

Negative experience: Not the greatest experience . The atmosphere felt cold, and everyone seemed on edge. I left with an overall unpleasant feeling. Just because an office is modern doesn’t necessarily mean the service is better. Erica was great, but the doctor... not so much. There was barely any communication from her to me, and she spoke to Erica over my head. It felt like she was too busy to engage or care. The whole vibe made it seem like the staff might be a bit nervous or tense. That's just my take on it. Also, some unnecessary treatments were suggested .

They were easy to get ahold of and book appointments and ask questions to. The office personnel were very nice and my hygienist Emily was incredibly understanding, kind and made me feel a lot less anxious throughout the entire appointment. Negative experience: I have been a patient at this dental office since I was a child, and my family has trusted them for generations. I have been satisfied with my experience here in the past and have recommended this dental office to my friends and family. However, my recent experience has left me frustrated and disappointed. I grind my teeth at night and mentioned to the hygienist during my cleaning that my upper and lower retainers had developed holes. They recommended a night guard instead, explaining it was thicker, more durable, and better suited for grinding. They assured me it would be a suitable replacement for my retainers. I was given an estimate for the night guard, agreed to the price, and decided to proceed. The office took scans of both my upper and lower teeth and scheduled an appointment two weeks later for me to pick up the night guard. When I went to pick it up, I discovered it was only for my upper teeth—not both as I had been led to believe. I explained again that my original concern was replacing both retainers to prevent my teeth from shifting, and that no one had mentioned that the night guard was not a replacement for my lower retainer. The dentist offered to order a lower retainer for me, but I wasn’t given a price at the time. The front desk staff told me they’d call with the cost of the lower retainer later that day, but I never received a call. When I followed up the next day, I was informed it would cost $279 out-of-pocket and that it had already been ordered without my approval. This was frustrating, as I had no chance to decide if I wanted it after learning the price. I expressed my concerns and that I felt I had been misled, I provided my feedback, and requested that they cancel the order, as I had not been informed of the cost before they proceeded. While I appreciate the care I’ve received in the past, I feel the communication during this process was severely lacking. The limitations of a night guard versus retainers had not been explained to me, and I wish the team had explained the differences more thoroughly before recommending the night guard as a replacement. Given that my upper and lower teeth were scanned for the creation of the night guard, I had no reason to believe the night guard would only address my upper teeth. As a patient, I rely on the expertise of the dental team to guide me, and I felt let down in this case. To be fair, I did share my feedback directly with the receptionist (Jennifer) before posting this review. Unfortunately, this experience has left me paying significantly more than I would have if I had gone through my orthodontist’s retainer program, which I would have done if the night guard had been explained to me properly. As a result of this experience, I will no longer be returning to this office for regular treatment and will be seeking a new dentist. It’s unfortunate, as I have been a patient for many years, but the lack of communication and the unexpected costs have made me reconsider my long-term relationship with this practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been comming here for years. The whole team goes above and beyond. Today I had Erica do my cleaning who explained everything and took a lot of care with my teeth. The key to this team is laurie who is one of the most friendly people I have met. Both Dr's at this office also take the time answering my questions.

I have worked with a number of hygienist, and while there are always favourites, they have all been kind, pleasant and accommodating with my extremely sensitive teeth. A significant number of my own family members are or have been patients here. River FAMILY Dental is like "family" to me. Trusted, caring and there for you.

I was actually impressed by the number of checks she was running as I’m used to a rushed and less thorough first patient exam so this was excellent! Negative experience: This used to be our dental office, when ownership changed it wasn’t as good and we moved on. Laurie always remained fantastic and we do miss her. Dr Cornacchio hit a nerve in freezing my mouth twice, it felt like I was being electrocuted and she laughed it off. My son was told he had 8 cavities… we got a second opinion and he had one and we changed dentists. I am not sure if it was their cray, the ability to read it, or what… but definitely the last straw… waited it out 4 years just in case before leaving this review and those other apparent 8 cavities are no where in sight. Also, positive reviews here that start with “a sample review could be” are a definite red flag… is ownership soliciting them, writing them?

I always feel comfortable and safe - the staff are kind and welcoming and ensure you are comfortable at all times. I cannot recommend them enough - especially for those with anxiety (young and old). If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Fantastic experience: My children and I have been coming to River Family Dental since 2012! Over the past decade, we’ve built strong relationships with this incredible dental team! Besides regular cleanings and check ups, Dr. Cornacchio & Dr. Naureen have also given top level care when dental emergencies arose- being especially sensitive to the trauma and emotion associated with such injuries. They are incredible with young children ( & adults) easing their anxieties and never pressuring to where they may become fearful of the dentist. They are meticulous in things like ensuring the colour of crowns match as close to the original tooth enamel, Invisuline trays fit properly and your teeth are aligning as best as possible; all while being empathetic, patient and caring during those long times in the dental chair. The hygienists and dental assistants promote and help you maintain good oral health and the front reception are also great at what they do! Reminder calls, and schedule timing that best fits both you and the dentist! I can’t say enough! River Family Dentistry is the best!

I have a lot of anxiety surrounding dental procedures and today I had to get a crown - yuck. Well, Dr. Cornacchio and Soby were so kind and gentle - checking on me, talking me through it - it was a great experience.
