I always had such fun with you regardless of what dastardly treatment you were performing ! Your sense of humour and good nature were always such a pleasure. As the girls may have told you, the only reason I am changing dentists is due to the distance of the drive and the weather unpredictability. It is not in my nature to cancel appointments without proper notice but I had to do that once last year and almost thought the same was going to happen for my Monday appointment this past week. Fortunately the armageddon weather didn't come and I was able to get to Guelph safely. Not only do I not like to cancel appointments but I know how hard it can be to get a replacement appointment and my dental health is just too important to leave it too long and I'm too far to go on your cancellation list. The decision was a very tough one to make and I will miss you guys. Be well, keep up the good work, keep laughing; the world needs more people like you. Positive experience: Really disappointed with Willow West Dental. I have been a loyal customer for almost 30 years. I have previously written 5 star reviews for them but the staff that earned the 5 star reviews have all left. I called for an explanation of my billing and I was not pleased with the response I was given. Craig called me back but we could not reach a satisfactory solution.

Negative experience: I have been a patient/client/customer for 15 (or so) years. I first came to Willow West Dental with a trauma to my front tooth (drunken teenage things). Anyway, for 15 years this tooth has chipped repeatedly and I continued attending to have it refilled, because truthfully, being a single mom of two kids, working full time, I have never really been able to afford the $2,777 that it was estimated for a new crown and a root canal retreat and post that is necessary. Recently, I've become so self conscious of this tooth and I work a very professional job. I now have great benefits that estimated my insurance to cover $2,391 of that $2,777! Well, the day before the appointment i had booked off of work to attend, I got an awful gut feeling because I knew if I needed to pay any kind of money at the appointment (which by the way was booked for 2 days before rent) I would not be able to pay. Professional job? Yes. Am I still under $40k a year, yes. So I called to confirm, and sure enough, I did indeed need to put a $600 deposit down- which would have been reimbursed by my insurance, and I simply did not have it. The lady I spoke to put me on hold 3x to confirm with Raynah for my concerns in regard to not having $600 upfront but really wanting to attend the appointment to get things going and because I'd discarded a days pay to be able to. With 0 regard I was returned with a simple "we will need to cancel your appointment". It's such a shame because the office ladies are lovely, I was always greeted politely. It just goes to show that loyalty goes no where with places like these, no matter how long a place has seen you struggle with an ongoing dental issue, and really not caring to try and work with you. I think in this day and age, we should be kinder and more compassionate cause let's face it, how are you doing in this economy?

Negative experience: I have been going to this dental office for years they're generally ok the front desk isn't very friendly at times though recently I did get my wisdom teeth out. I was given local anesthesia to numb the area before the dentist pulled them out. The anesthesia did not seem to take effect as I felt so much pain when the dentist pulled them out. I ended telling them i was in so much pain so they gave me a bit more local but it still had barely any effect. I believe they did not wait long enough for the anesthesia to take effect bcuz i was there for a total of 20 mins it was very fast but I have never had such a painful experience. I think they could have done a better job at making sure the patient was doing ok. I also feel at times they dont really put much effort into making sure patients needs are taken care of. I was told after a checkup that i need a night guard as i grind my teeth and have some attrition present on my teeth yet they never mailed the claim to insurance even after I emailed and spoke to them many times. They kind of brushed me off which is frustrating. I have switched offices for these reasons.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Fernandez goes above and beyond! My son broke his front teeth playing hockey last night. I emailed her at 8:30pm and within 30 minutes she called and helped us through the concerns. We saw her the next morning at 8am when her office was closed! She came in just to care for our son. She’s texted me a few times since to check in. If you’re looking for a caring and highly talented dentist, she’s your gal.

This business has since been sold, and after a couple of cleanings - one during Covid, I am pleased with my experience. I wanted my teeth cleaned, had to trust precautions were taken and overall felt secure. I recommend this Dental Business,, in fact I live in Kitchener, travelling to Guelph for appointments. When a business gives good service, reasonable prices, I will support them.

Fantastic experience: I have had the same dentist for over 50 years, and when I drove to his clinic for an appointment, he was gone. It was quite a shock and also disappointing. He had retired. We drove over an hour to our appointments rather than change dentists. So when he was gone we looked for a dentist closer to us. Well that’s were this dentistry came in. What a pleasant surprise. 10 minutes from where we live, and the whole experience was wonderful. Thank you Dr. Kheder, and thank you Willow West Dental.

Fantastic experience: Never been happier or more comfortable with a dentist in my life! They took my anxiety and concerns seriously and made sure to take extra care to avoid numbing my throat during the use of local anesthetic(whereas others have never taken it serious or prevented it). They made my entire experience painless and have given me the confidence to keep getting the work needed done. So grateful that they also do direct billing as it can be a bit harder to find a good one who does. ❤️ Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My experience participating in the Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy program was educational and rewarding. This process was eye opening as I had to "relearn" how to nasal breath, chew, drink and swallow. The sessions worked on strengthing the tongue and reducing how much facial and neck muscles were being used to compensate for that weak tongue. These are all things, I had no idea I was doing incorrectly leading potentially to a vast list of health issues. Ranging from jaw joint issues, grinding, to speech issues and obstructive sleep apnea. Through my commitment to this program I can now call myself a nasal breather, have noted a reduction in loud snoring and far more aware of how I chew and drink as well as swallow. Shiva clearly and patiently communicated the principles, the health benefits and the step by step exercises in my Myofunctional journey. Thanks

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Willow West Dental for over 10 years now, the staff is friendly and always helpful. Dr. Fernandes is a dream dentist for someone who was always so scared and anxious. Not only is she professional and does amazing work, she is gentle, hilarious, so friendly and kind. Today I finished my Invisalign treatment and I couldn't be happier with my results and overall smile. Dr. Fernandes and her team (Brianka and Carla) were absolutely amazing throughout my Invisalign journey. They are so well informed and really care for the integrity of their work. If you are new to Guelph or unhappy with your dentist, and want a new smile, I could not recommend Willow West Dental enough!!!

Fantastic experience: All I can say is… wow! My son who is 8 started to see Dr Fernandes for preventative care. My little boys teeth were crowded and there was no space for his adult ones to come in. She started her treatment plan for him to help improve the situation so it wasn’t as bad as he got older. After 13 months we just got his braces off and spacer out. I’m speechless. It’s 100 percent improved. We will continue on the treatment plan with a retainer next. Dr. Fernandes and her team are fantastic. I highly recommend them! Fantastic experience: Our experience as a family of four at Willow West Dental Office has been beyond positive. Starting with reception, the team is curteous, friendly, prompt and runs one of the best appointment reminder systems I've seen. Dr. Fernandes is patient, knowledgeable and explains treatment options in detail. The amount of diagnostic tools is impressive - for instance, watch for the digital scanner that creates a 3D model of your teeth in minutes that she then uses to explain areas of concern and treatment options. No need for old-fashioned dental impressions anymore. Our kids' dental visits have been amazing as well. The younger one is just completing his first round of orthodontic treatment. Dr. Fernandes and her staff are patient, make him feel at ease and provide positive reinforcement - he genuinly feels proud about the change accomplished over the last 6 months or so. If you are looking for a dentist in Guelph and area, this is hands-down the place to choose!

The staff is incredible - Amanda, Michelle and especially Bobbi. She always goes above and beyond to make people feel welcome. Negative experience: While completing a 2 year Invisalign plan with Willow west dental, I have been consistently treated poorly with unprofessional rude behaviour from the receptionist Bobbi. She is unhelpful, dismissive, lacks customer service skills, and creates a hostile space, where I don’t feel comfortable calling to book an appointment or visiting the office. After spending all this money with the clinic, respect would be bare minimum. Me and my family of 5 are considering switching clinics due to this unprofessionalism. The other staff at this clinic and Dr. Fernandes are amazing, so this really is unfortunate

Fantastic experience: When I first moved to Guelph 2 years ago, I needed to look for a dental office that was convenient to where I work and live. Before moving offices, I worked right across the street from Willow West and decided to make this my dental office. It was a great choice as I was also looking at other places but chose this, because it was close to my work. I highly recommend this dental office, from Dr. Fernandes herself, to Carla and the ladies in the back and not to forget, all the lovely ladies who work at reception. Couldn't have asked for a better group of people. I always enjoy chatting with them all when I visit. Fantastic experience: I suffered an abscess infection as a result of a broken tooth. Dr. Abraam Dawod assessed the situation and explained the available options. My choice to remove the tooth was immediately taken care of and a follow-up visit was arranged. When the infection lingered he proscribed another round of antibiotics and that seems to have been successful. My thanks to Dr. Dawod and the staff at Willow West Dental.

Negative experience: Edit: Sorry, the cost for dental cleaning and xrays was 342 dollars.*** I went to Willow West dental clinic as a new client about a year ago for dental cleaning and xrays, however as I did not have dental insurance, it ended up costing me 500 dollars, almost double what my current dental clinic charges. On top of that, they suggested I try invisalign (which they were heavily advertising at the time) to improve my teeth alignment, which they told me was a possible cause for my gum recession. Since then, I've been told by my current dentist that invisalign may have actually worsened the problem. Consequently, I find this dental clinic very hard to trust and would not recommend them to anyone

Dr. Raynah Fernandes is so good with my daughter, explaining everything step by step what will happen in her treatment plan, showing her all the equipment. She followed up with us after hours regarding an X-ray. Went over the findings and answered all our questions regarding our daughters health. I am so thankful I went to her, now my daughter will be receiving the proper care for her dental care and her health. Her dental assistant is so wonderful making sure my daughter feels comfortable every visit. Negative experience: 00 stars no respect service charge over cost my wife asked X-ray for my 6 year old daughter and they charged $228. We asked why that cost and they refund $59 but still expensive

She used a new type of automatic cleaning device at the beginning of my cleaning which is much better then the manual one they usually use.
