Fantastic experience: Got me in for x-rays cleaning and fillings quite quickly. Only dentist I could find that takes ODSP in Guelph. Good referral to oral surgeon in Guelph. Hoping to make this my regular dentist.

Fantastic experience: I recently changed to Stonegate Dental. I went first for a hygiene and examination service, which was great. Then, I had an appointment with Dr Jeris Galvez. Dr Jeris was very kind and patient in explaining everything about the findings and the procedure. His work was excellent, and everything went well. For sure, I will visit the clinic and Dr Jeris again.

Negative experience: Did not have a pleasant experience at this practice. The dentist attempted to extract an infected tooth, employing half a dozen sedative injections and then used a grinder to chip away at the culprit. Why he attempted to extricate something so severely infected is beyond me. Ignored my excruciating pain and said it was me, not the pain and what I felt was "pressure" when in fact I was under enormous agony. He finally gave up once he realized that his method of action was not working and referred me to an oral surgeon. Very disappointed since my family members have had great experiences with Dr. Martin. I had to undergo general anaesthesia to remove the molar but lived with a half sawed off cog for 4 days before this ordeal was over. The reception staff feels more akin to a principal's office welcoming one for detention than a doctor's office. They need better sensitivity training. I found them curt, short and frankly low on empathy. Very disappointed even though the dentist in question did apologize profusely afterwards.

Fantastic experience: Have always been very happy with my appointments here. But,today I had a hygiene appointment with Nicole that was truly exceptional. She says she loves what she does and it shows. She is also very good at what she does! Highly recommend, especially if dental visits aren't your favourite thing!

From the start, you were so friendly and welcoming. I had just moved to the city and was dealing with issues from a previous metal wire, and Stonegate kindly took me in on short notice. They are incredibly accommodating with scheduling (even my tricky times), always easy to reach, and consistently quick to respond to emails or phone calls. Fantastic experience: Very happy with my last minute emergency appointment for a chipped tooth. They were able to get me in last minute and fix my tooth properly all within a couple hours. Happy to say I have found a dentist that I can keep coming back to! All staff were very nice and Dr.Martins did a great job at not only fixing my tooth to look better than before, but explaining what he was doing while we did it. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: I just had a broken tooth extracted and what I thought might be a painful experience went amazingly! Dr. Martins did an incredible job. He thoroughly explained the operation from start to finish, and during the extraction, he consistently checked with me to make sure I was not in any discomfort. Even though the procedure ended up going longer than expected, Dr. Martins and his staff made it a five-star experience with very little to no pain. Our family are grateful that we found Stonegate Dental, from the front-end staff to the dentists, they all attempt to make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible. My pre-op appointment with Dr. Wat was a five-star rating as well. She is such a wonderful dentist with top-notch, bedside manner. The office is easily accessible and very clean. I and my family highly recommend the Stonegate Dental team! You will not be disappointed! I recently went in for some fillings, and once again, Dr. Martins and his assistant were absolutely fantastic. They are always so gentle and continuously check in to ensure I’m comfortable throughout the procedure. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Today, I returned for a cleaning and was looked after by the kindest dental hygienist, Nicole. She did an outstanding job—thorough, gentle, and incredibly personable. She made the whole process comfortable with minimal discomfort and was so easy to talk to. From the moment you walk through the door to the time you leave, every member of the team is welcoming, friendly, and professional. Truly a top-notch dental office!

Fantastic experience: we recently moved our youngest to stonegate dental to our dentist, nancy wat (we have been with stonegate dental since we moved to guelph years ago). we are SO glad we did - our youngest has always had a fear of dentists. when we switched her over, nancy made time to have a meeting with us to help us make our daughter's visits as stress-free as possible and along with her amazing assistant, our daughter is no longer afraid to go to the dentist. thank-you SO much nancy (& her assistant) for everything!!

Fantastic experience: I don't normally post public reviews but am making an exception for Stonegate Dental and Nancy Wat. I've been to four dental offices over the years and Stonegate has easily been the best experience. Nancy and her staff are welcoming, competent and above all kind. I could not recommend Stonegate Dental highly enough. I am thankful her practice was still open when I was in need of a new dentist!

Fantastic experience: I Drive a shuttle for a car dealership and Nancy was one of the people that I drove. She was always bubbly and laughing. When I found out that she was a dentist, I thought "that's the kind of dentist I would want". When my dentist retired I knew exactly who I wanted to be my new Dentist, Nancy. What better type of person would you want to be your dentist. I started going to Stonegate Dental and was so glad that I did. I have always had a good experience. In the past I would always get Nitrous Oxide (laughing Gas). I hate needles. The first time that she did some work on my teeth I told her that I wanted to get gas. She told me that I wouldn't need it because she uses a fine needle. I reluctantly chose to go without the Nitrous. I was exceedingly surprised that the needle didn't hurt like I thought it would.I had to get some implants and they were done in house. Her dental hygienist is also friendly. I have been pleased with any of the work that she has done. Its a an overall wonderful experience every time. Very professional, friendly ,accommodating and does quality work. I would highly recommend Stonegate Dental and Dr. Nancy Wat.

Fantastic experience: Before I came to Stonegate dental, I visited several other clinics that offered “exceptional” services. This is an office that is warm, professional and fun. The girls at reception are lovely, quick to smile - everyone there makes an effort to get to know YOU. The high level of service provided by dr. Wat, dr. Martins and their staff are beyond phenomenal. They have always been happy to answer every question (and I had many) and are very thoroughly when explaining the procedures. My kids have been going there for years - they are amazing with kids - angelic patience and kindness during the appointments. A visit to this office is a pleasure; especially when I saw the metamorphosis of my smile and what dr. Wat was able to create. Million dollar smile at that clinic came with a fabulous dentist, wonderful staff and jokes to boot to carry me through the appointments. They don’t just look after your teeth, they give you back your self-confidence, and a beautiful smile. I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Negative experience: Hello, A suggestion for the office. The receptionists at the front lack costumer service so improving that would make the experiences better. They are our (client) first interaction and it should always be a respectful one. I would also suggest something like a feedback form for clients to fill out. I think that is very important to retaining clients and building a clientele that trusts the establishment.

Fantastic experience: Recently started as a new patient and I was thrilled. I come from a dental background and I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. My hygienist was incredible, it was the best cleaning I've ever had and I know a thing or two about cleanings! I believe her name was Victoria? Explained everything, had a really nice talk, was gentle but got the job done and in a timely manner too. I was quite impressed. I saw Dr Martin's afterward and I appreciated the calm, chill attitude especially considering dental is generally a high anxiety environment for a lot of people. Explained things well, was honest, and in the end there were no issues so ill be back in 6 months for a cleaning. Definitely recommend this office

I sometimes have quite severe anxiety when it comes to dental procedures, but Dr. Martins and his assistant did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. These two visits were the best experiences I've ever had at a dental office and I look forward to dealing with them in the future.

While she's been thorough and skilled looking after myself and my husband, I am even more impressed at how caring and effective she is with kids. Negative experience: This office has wonderful reviews however my experience was somewhat different. For me, I had been going elsewhere for a very long time and I think I was spoiled by their incredible office. Unfortunately my dentist retired. When I first went in to Southgate, I did not feel welcome at all. I actually felt it to be a quite cold atmosphere. The person who did my x-rays didn't seem terribly experienced as there were SO many attempts made... eventually getting them but I've never experienced anything like it. Perhaps she was new. The dentist I saw was nice and did a good job but I found him to be quite rough. I went three times to the office. Two of those times I came home with my lip split on the corner. That has never happened to me in the past. I did go for a cleaning and the man who did that was really nice, very friendly and did a great job. Anyways, this is just my experience. Will not be returning to this office.

They go the extra mile to explain to you why they’re doing treatments not just what they’re doing which I personally really appreciate as some dental procedures can be expensive. This is the first dentist office I don’t dread going to!

Fantastic experience: So incredibly happy with my experience here. Great team and everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Wat took so much time to give me all my options, pros and cons of each, and was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had issues with some wear on my teeth that bothered me for years and she fixed it beautifully in 1 hour.

Negative experience: *updated review* This office fishes for reviews. They definitely got me at first until I realized something was off. It may be very clean and receptionists are great but the hygienist would push for me to use the water pik even when I said no and I prefer the hand scaling. Pressure from her made me use it once and I never went back after that. I have since moved to another dental clinic. In my case I do not recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: In the past I have had some very bad experiences with some dentists, which led me to dislike all dentists. Dr. Wat has changed my opinion and I would highly recommend her. She takes her time to explain procedures and to check in to see if you are doing okay at all stages of the procedure, is very gentle, professional and I was very impressed with the dental care I received. I recently had an administration issue and Dr. Wat addressed my concerns immediately. I respect and recommend Dr, Wat. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: absolutely amazing staff all around. so friendly and welcoming. as someone who has anxiety about going to the dentist, this office made me feel comfortable and not rushed. each dentist i talked to ensured i understood what they were doing, why, and showed me the results after while explaining things in a way that i understood. they asked questions that were relevant to my visit and did not judge my oral care (although they did nicely recommend some solutions). they treat you like a patient but also a person. they also have great covid protocols in place so i felt very comfortable. best dentist i've gone to!

Fantastic experience: I started going here in summer 2021 after years of commuting to my old dentist office, and I am glad I switched! I have never been able to have a cleaning without extreme discomfort and pain at previous clinics, but for the first time I was able to have a comfortable experience thanks to Jason and Dr. Watt! Dr Watt is extremely professional and caring, would recommend based on the staff and my experiences so far!

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new dentist and Dr. Nancy Wat and her team were recommended. I felt that I was in excellent hands the entire time I was there over the course of 5 weeks. They genuinely cared. By having a root canal specialist on staff and the latest in technology they found areas of concern that other dentists probably would not be able to find and they fixed them promptly and without pain. Dr. Wat is authentic, kind, considerate and explains everything to you; the same goes for the rest of the professional team who helped me. Going to the dentist now is not something I fear. Fantastic experience: Excellent. I've moved many times and lived in different countries, so I've been under multiple dental care providers. Stonegate Dental is excellent. Pam the receptionist is nice and warm, always goes over invoices and she's are great with scheduling. Jason the hygienist was wonderful too. Welcoming and nice and has great conversation. I never thought I could have fun conversations while getting a dental cleaning but hey here's is Jason! He also explains everything he's doing and suggested a few changes on my daily cleaning routine. I've already seen results. He has been just great and I know my gums are well cared for. Dr. Wat has also been awesome. She's incredibly gentle and goes over everything she'll be doing in detail. She has true surgeon hands and getting fillings done with her is a breeze. Also, I haven't felt pushed in any way, which is unfortunately rare TBH. Her assistant has been great too, gentle and caring. My husband has switched to Stonegate Dental after my experience with them, and he's is happy too. He's with Dr. Martin. Their place is clean and the equipment looks very up to date. I'm pregnant and they made sure I was wearing a double lead apron, and made me feel very safe. Also, easy parking situation. To sum up, top notch and 10000% recommended.

Negative experience: Dr. Wat is a considerate and gentle dentist. The cost paying direct is not reasonable. For a senior on a fixed income this office is not affordable. I have asked for some explanation for services that are just ridiculous. If you dont have a plan, this office is not the place to go. Thankfully I have found another dentist that treats me fairly.

Dr. Martins is very professional, accomodating, knowledgeable and overall just a great guy to be around. He really cares for your oral health and always checks in to make sure you're doing OK. My mask dropped from my pocket during my appointment and I didn't even notice until he offered me a new one. Everyone was very kind and attentive, and in no way did I ever feel pushed about anything. They truly work with you every step of the way, and motivated me to do even more for myself, even if it means spending down some of my savings. This is a highly recommended and trusted place for Guelph students too. My only regret is not switching to this location sooner.

Even felt extremely uncomfortable with a well-rated dental office in the Tri-City area. Fantastic experience: This dental office has to be my favourite dentist i have ever been to. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. I would recommend Dr.Martins to anyone who is looking for a new dentist. He is such a nice guy and extremely down to earth ans takes his time to see how I am doing and if I have any questions. I am sure i can be a rough patient as i am super scared of the dentist but he always makes sure I am ok all throughout procedures. He is thoughtful, very patient and professional. He explains everything he is going to so before he starts. I have had to have weekly work done for the past month and each time i come in for the next session Dr.Martins always makes a point to make sure I am recovering well from precious work. If you are looking for a new dentist Stone Gate Dental and Dr.Martins is a must. I also want to point out just how great all the dental assistance are in the room sucking out my spit! Not the most glamorous job but they make it great! I know I cant see it but I know they are smiling!

Fantastic experience: If I can give 10 stars to Dr Nancy Wat and the whole team I would!!!! They were able to accommodate me for a last minute exam as I was looking for a second opinion after seeing a different dentist at a different location. Dr Wat's findings was different as night and day compared to the other dentist. She made the whole process comfortable and seamless. After the examination, she thoroughly explained her findings, showed me pictures and x-rays while not rushing the process. I want to thank Dr Wat and the whole Stonegate team for saving me hundreds if not thousands of dollars from the other practice that told me that I needed of a lot work done. Fantastic experience: Dr. Wat (and her staff) are incredibly kind, gentle, and empathetic. I was having a tough and emotional week, mixed with anxiety about the fillings I was getting done and had a bit of a breakdown in her office. They dabbed my tears with tissue and told me funny little stories until I felt more at ease. They continued to reassure me throughout the process and it was easy breezy. She takes her time, never rushes away, and answers all questions (as does the hygienist when I see him).

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for over 8 years now and have to say that this is the only Dentist office I actually like going to! Dr. Nancy Wat is amazing, she is a very skilled dentist, but she is also a very happy, upbeat, positive person that is not only happy to be there, but happy you are too! You can tell that she sets this as a standard for the entire practice because the entire staff including hygienists as just as nice as Nancy. I have and will continue to refer people here, the word is out, she has recently doubled her facilities and now has Dr Martin on staff, I had the pleasure of having him fix a couple fillings (chipped tooth) and he was fantastic, keep great up the everyone!

Fantastic experience: The service at Stonegate dental is amazing. I went in to finally get a chip in my tooth repaired and not only were the staff super friendly but Dr. Nancy Wat even decided to help remove some left over cement that was on one of my front teeth from when I had braces years ago that my other dentist never fully removed. They held great conversation and were actively engaged. Also very quick with the procedures and always professional. They also answered all of my questions pertaining to other procedures I was debating with both pros and cons to each choice to help me make an informed decision. Overall amazing experience.

Fantastic experience: Had a 10/10 experience at this clinic. As a student it can be difficult finding the right clinic to accommodate my needs. Stonegate has been very understanding and helpful. I had a great experience with both the hygienist and student dental assistant. Normally I dread going to the dentist but Dr. Nancy Wat made dental health fun for me and thoroughly explained what was happening with my teeth in a way I would understand. Fantastic experience: A safe environment for patients who may be hesitant about visiting the dentist as COVID restrictions are lifted. During a recent appointment for an emergency procedure, I was very reassured to see the many new safety measures that Dr. Wat and her team have put in place - plexiglass barriers, screening questionnaire, temperature reading, masks and full PPE. Most important, however, is that each area within the office is self-contained - making it safer for patients during procedures and easier to clean and sanitize. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention how pleased I am with the results of my dental procedure. Absolutely flawless work. Dr. Wat and her team are amazing!
