Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dentist office in the city. My daughter hadnt been for quite some time due to severe anxiety; they were amazing with her. They were patient and took their time. She did still experience heightened anxiety but she was able to complete the appointment with a cleaning, xrays and the dentist check up. Thats a win!!! She has a couple cavities but she is comfortable enough to go back in a couple weeks and let them in her mouth again.

Negative experience: BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. Very upsetting. There are two dentists here and the older lady Dentist recently scammed us and saying my child had a high amount of cavities. This was unusual to me since my child takes good care of his teeth. I got a second opinion and he doesn’t have any. I asked around to people who go to this place and they’ve had the same experience with the same dentist. This place was highly suggested which is why I been a client for years, but now I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I wonder how many times I was duped with my other kids when she told us they had cavities. This is extremely concerning since you put your trust into these dentists but instead she incessantly drilled and filled cavities that weren’t even there. It’s maddening. It made me reflect how the assistant hygienist stayed silent while looking worrisome. I think the hygienists know that what they’re seeing in the X-rays isn’t what the dentist is telling parents. I suggest that parents and clients really get second opinions or leave this business and find an honest, genuine dentist.

Fantastic experience: The staff here really cares about you! They go above and beyond and they make sure you get the best treatment. I would not go anywhere else and I am recommending this office to everyone I know! Love this place

Fantastic experience: The feeling of being in your family where you can feel safe and comfortable to share without being afraid is what Dr Ilitoiu has shown us while being in her clinic with my senior mother , her expertise took care of our dental problem with ease no anesthesia plus Dr Ilitoiu was able to break it down to our understanding what exactly we need done and reassuring my mother that all is going to be ok ,:) truly she made our day we are definitely coming back and bringing the rest of our large family .If you’re skipping you dentist visit procrastinating no need to be :)Dr Ilitoiu will prove that going to the dentist is really not scary at all .Staff in the clinic are very friendly and helpful with all the questions you have ,this clinic is clean and peaceful with a positive energy right from the main entrance. Negative experience: $522 for a child's first visit to this dentist. Forgot the scheduled us. Took 1 hrs 45min to sort themselves out, including scraping off varnish to do xrays, then billing for the varnish they never reapplied.

Best decision I made was joining this dental clinic. Tijuana and Dr. Chalko are amazing. Negative experience: I went to this clinic first time, for my daughters routine check up. I requested the clinic secretary before exam, if some thing is not covered by my insurance for my daughters, please let me know first, and the secretary said for sure, at the end I got a bill of $136 for the vist as comprehensive exam was not covered at that point and the clinic did it and charged me. I called the office to register my complaint, office advised me to send them an email, i have sent them 2 emails, no reply.I will not recommend this place to any one.

Negative experience: They are not cooperative, their appointments are very bad, they are changeable, and there is no commitment, and their way of dealing is not good, they give you an appointment and you are prepared for the appointment a day before, they change the appointment, maybe after a week or more

Fantastic experience: This dentistry is amazing Roxanna front desk office manager helped me get my mom’s Canadian Dental Care Plan started. Such great service at this dentist clinic the care provided by all staff members going above and beyond on helping out an elderly lady who barely speaks English is amazing. If looking for quality service, going above and beyond to make you feel comfortable come to this clinic. They explain everything very thoroughly!

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy to have finally found a dental office I can count on in the KW region! I came here after a bad experience with another dentist who said I needed a root canal. The dentist here told me that was not the case and my tooth has been fine since! They are so easy to book with, and everyone’s been extremely friendly and gentle on my teeth.

I've been going there for a little under 3 years now and even though I no longer work around the corner and it's not convenient, I still choose to bus over an hour because they make me feel so comfortable and they're very non-judgmental which is helpful for someone who's still trying to learn. Soonest I called and explained what I was concerned about I was able to buck appointment with doctor next day.They made room for my case because it is pretty much urgent. They did it so fast and super professional. Doctor Chak is doctor who is there because of you. He will ask you questions and he will listen what you have to say super carefully. He did everything he could to help me out and figure out what I have to do next. Doctor assistant thankfully was from my country and she was super nice and she helped me to explain and to make sure I understand what doctor is asking me and telling me. Negative experience: Hello there, I am writing this review with a heavy heart and pains I am undergoing after taken a wisdom tooth removal here with Dr. James Chako. This is a long story as it took so months for my recovery , so please read fully for your understanding. I underwent a wisdom tooth removal surgery on Jan 2024 for 2 of my wisdom tooth. I am completely aware this is quite a complicated ones because of my root positions. Dr. James chako did the surgery and it went around 1.5hrs , (quite a lot of drilling and minimal bone cutting in the procedure, which was explained & ok). Initial recovery was ok …had swellings and wound was healed in 3 weeks. But gift of this surgery I got 2 problems which I am suffering till now due to total dr negligence of not providing a quicker solution. At the end of 3rd week, I figured out I had both cheeks paining problem when I smile and talk for long time , and my upper lips started to shiver/tweak when I smile for a picture . Initially I though its all post operative effects and patiently gave a time for another 2-3 weeks to settle down. But problem worsened a lot and I suffered with unbearable pain everyday. So again I went back to dr after 2months from initial surgery to observe and conclude that my cheek problem is due to dental surgery. Surprsingly dr denied it completely and said can never happen at all. And suggested me could be a Calcium deficiency problem, where in this state I completely lost my smile because its hurting me always when I do. Imagine the trauma of losing your smile everyday. Later as he suggested, went to general physician for calcium levels blood work but physician completely denied that could not be the cause after careful examination , but he did prescribed blood work and results came calcium with perfect levels and no deficiency .And the physician even promised me he would sent my dentist a note for the same for further solving this with a facial CT or whatever is required in dental . I went back to talk about this and drs reaction was an absolute surprise. He showed complete hatred and no smile even as I came back for complaining again! I was shocked to see this but expected as nobody likes complains. Not all surgeries are 100% successful and can be a post operative problems as I underwent. But he said he don’t know what my problem was and again denied this not due to surgery . After me and my husband argued he agreed to sent to a second opinion only because we insisted otherwise he ended up saying he is not sure which specialist to send for my problem. Which is shocking to hear from your surgeon and shocking to see his denial to solve my problem. This is absolutely his one and only fault !! Thanks to signing all the concern forms for all the post operative effects as per policies, we cant claim any thing from this doctor nor sue him for the pain and trauma I am undergoing losing your smile everyday!! Atleast he need not accept his fault but could have directed me for a solution and I was left hopeless.. Completely ridiculous and unacceptable behaviour from this dr. So don’t ever go with this doctor who failed to solve his own patients problem nor directed towards any other dr and left hopeless showed a bad attitude because of this situation. Highly don’t recommend him for any surgery or any other treatment for that matter who is incapable of solving a patients problems. Besides all these pathetic situations thanks to my own sister back home who is a dentist herself, got her advice for cheek physiotherapy exercises and with the help of second specialist here who prescribed muscle relaxants and anti inflammatory tablets , I am in the path of recovery even after 9 months now. Hoping this will setlle down soon. All these due to drs negligence and not solving my issue in a timely manner.

Fantastic experience: Both of my children were in for their check up and cleaning appointments. They both came out of there happy and had an amazing experience with their dental hygienist Rachel. She also educated them about teeth and answered all their questions that they had. My daughter said one day I’ll be like Rachel once again thank you Lackner Woods for always being so kind and generous with my whole family that comes there.

Positive experience: I had my cleaning appointment yesterday. Because of my work schedule I had my appointment booked at 6 pm. I generally have this time for my appointment. I felt that hygienist was in hurry and she rushed my cleaning service. As they close at 7, may be she was in hurry. My cleaning started 6:10 and finished at 6:40. Which is half hr today. In my opinion good cleaning takes min. 45 minutes or more. I felt she cut the corner to get it done fast. I am not happy 100%

Negative experience: Will discriminate against you if you have Healthy Smiles. Says they won't allow evening appointments because families and parents cancel. Will only accommodate between 9-3. I don't recommend if you work a full-time job. They refuse to accommodate and their weekend appointments don't happen. So, if you're looking because of their hours, it only works if you have employer insurance. I will be finding a different dental office that doesn't discriminate against low income working families.

Fantastic experience: Recently transferred to this dentist, and so glad I did. Very kind staff, and very knowledgeable dentists. If you have any anxieties or health concerns, they take everything very seriously, making sure they know where you keep medications (i.e. in your purse, etc (in case of need during your visit)) and they offer tvs/Netflix to ease anxieties. I have only had 1 appointment so far, but I highly recommend this business.

Fantastic experience: I booked appointment for oral surgery, they already have my name in a system, the girl on the phone is asking me if I would like to come in tomorrow 3 different time slots to choose from ! In this day virtually impossible but I got lucky, came there and met with Dr Chacko and Tijana , they already have my x-rays from like last year so I was totally impressed with this doctor knowledge and assessment. Have you ever been to the dentist where they have instruments in your mouth and than ask you how you feeling? Well this people are not like that , what makes them cut above the rest is besides the work that they do very professionally, they also communicate very effectively give you brakes in between asking you if you want them to pause since it is about 40 mins procedure. All in all very positive experience, this doctor has amazing hands . On the way out Tijana gives me mouth rinse , pain medication which otherwise I would have to stop and get from pharmacy. Even the girls on the front desk offer to get me ice pack , I dunno what to say , great people we are lucky to have them in community, don't take it from me try it yourself
