Negative experience: Warning ⚠️ ⛔️ The most horrifying clinic I have ever experienced in Canada! Rudeness, disrespect, lack of professionalism, incompetence, dishonesty, fraud, deception, and theft — a truly unprecedented experience. From the very beginning, I called to book an appointment and clearly explained my issue beforehand. They told me, “Yes, your insurance covers it.” Then, on the day of the appointment — just two hours before — I received only a message (no phone call) from the receptionist, Katie, saying in a rude, arrogant manner, with no explanation , that canceled my appointment — even though it was an emergency appointment! I called them, and she spoke to me with extreme rudeness, arrogance, and complete unprofessionalism She interrogated me with personal questions and still did not explain the reason for canceling the appointment After that, she suddenly claimed that my insurance did not cover the treatment and that I had to pay — which is completely false information! When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, they moved me from my room to another room at the back of the clinic without the proper and usual equipment found in any dental office , The chair was not equipped with an instrument tray, and when I asked about it, they said it was behind my head — without any explanation. I could not see anything! Then they shocked me by taking a full set of X-rays of all my teeth without my consent, without informing me, I was there only for my emergency issue and for that specific tooth! When I refused, they brought the receptionist, Nav, who came to force me to do the X-rays that I did not request and that were unrelated to my condition! On top of that, when treatment began, the receptionist Katie entered without permission or explanation, did something on the computer behind me, and left — completely disregarding the patient’s privacy, comfort, and respect! Then, while I was in the middle of treatment — with the doctor working inside my mouth — the receptionist Nav entered and said rudely, violating patient rights and privacy: “You must pay $200 before you leave. I am leaving now, but you have to pay it to Julie. Okay? Okay?” After that, I was shocked to learn they wanted me to pay the $200 as a deposit for the lab, which had not even started the work yet because they had not received approval! They misled me by saying it would be refunded immediately if I chose to cancel or not continue treatment. As for the dental assistant, her behavior was rude, poor, and unprofessional , She did not use suction or clean my mouth properly, even when I asked. Every time I opened my mouth to speak with the doctor, she would rush to the reception to report what I was saying and then quickly return! As for the dentist, when he placed the temporary crown, he did not smooth it, adjust it, or let me check whether it was suitable in length or shape , He simply finished and left quickly, without even giving me any instructions on how to care for the temporary crown , This forced me to return to have it adjusted. For your information, it is plastic and a potentially harmful material, and when he was adjusting it, the assistant neglected her duty and did not properly suction or clean my mouth from the material — clear negligence and carelessness. And , when I was speaking with the dentist about my damaged tooth and its issue, every time the assistant would rush to reception to report what I was saying and come back ! Suddenly, receptionist Nav entered while I was still lying on the dental chair, with the dental bib still on my chest, to questioning me and tell me the assistant complain about me! All of this while I was still on the dental chair! After all of this — I wasn't feeling safeI decided not to continue treatment with them and requested a refund of my money, which they had claimed was refundable. They completely denied that I had paid them anything and refused to return any money. They even refused to send me my X-rays! They called security to intimidate, threaten, and silence me. Lies,fraud,deception theft, mistreatment,negligence....

Fantastic experience: My whole family and I go to Highland Hills Dental, and the experience has always been excellent. Last year, I received an appliance from them, and it has been working amazingly for me. A special mention to Dr. Paridhi Bassi, she is truly exceptional. She doesn’t just work on our teeth; she also takes the time to explain everything and share valuable knowledge about our dental health. Her caring approach and clear guidance make every visit comfortable and informative. We’ve had regular cleanings and dental work like cavity treatments done here, and every service has been smooth, professional, and high quality. The entire team is friendly, welcoming, and committed to patient care. Negative experience: Last appointment I had the dentist asked me to come in early. He spent over an hour messing around because he was more focused on what my insurance can be billed for rather then just get the work done! No work was done that day and I ended up leaving after an hour of him wasting my time! Today I’m called in early because of a cancellation so I’m here over 40min early and travelled here from out of town just to find out that they are not ahead and I was left just sitting around for almost an hour! This place is used to be good

Negative experience: Decided to go with this clinic because of good reviews & ratings - in hindsight, I can’t help but think the reviews are either inaccurate or we are reviewing 2 entirely different clinic or had a completely different experience! I tried to write a long and concise review of my entire experience but character counts may be limited as it does not let me post a long one. Overall not coming back. Whole experience from front desk, staff’s bed side manner and overall condition and atmosphere of this clinic is underwhelming.

Fantastic experience: I have been seen Dr. Bassi for TMJ issue, and she delivered for me a treatment with some appliances which they make my pain gone. I highly recommend this treatment. My jaw feels much better.

The staff there are very friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have. Also if you have the Canadian dental care plan they cover 100%of the total cost.there are many dentist in the K.W area that only cover partial Of the total cost,and you are on the hook for the rest. So if you're looking for great dentistry with a friendly staff be sure to give them a call.I did and I'm glad I did.

Fantastic experience: I don’t usually write reviews, but after such a great experience, I had to share. The hygienist, Sara, was incredibly kind and gentle. She made the whole process feel calm and quick. The scaling was done so smoothly that I had no sensitivity the next day, and even the X-ray was done with care and comfort. They also give free electric brush & dental kit. Dr. K did my cavity filling and some front aesthetic work. She’s clearly very skilled and experienced. I didn’t even need freezing because she was so precise and gentle—there was no pain at all, and the results were perfect. One person who really stood out was Shraddha, the dental assistant. Every appointment ran so efficiently thanks to her. They originally thought only two teeth could be done per visit, but because of how prepared and organized she was, everything got done in just three appointments instead of five. She kept things moving without any delays, and that made a big difference. Assistants like her are rare—she works like a future dentist already. I’ve been to other clinics where the doctors were good, but the experience slowed down because of the assistants. That was never a problem here. My search for a dental clinic is finally over. Highly recommend checking them out.

Negative experience: The workers on the front desk are so disrespectful and unprofessional. They have treated up with disrespectful and made some unnecessary mistake about our health care cover and made us pay even though they never Informed us that we were not covered and made us pay. So rude and absolutely never coming back.

I was prepared for a lecture about regular check ups and the "BEST TREATMENT" meaning expensive. Neither the dentist or other staff members did either. I was treated with respect and given options for treatment. I live 2 blocks away and am thrilled with my first visit.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a sleep apnea test done and chose to first try a mouth guard appliance over a CPAP machine. I was recommended to see Dr. Bassi at Highland Hills Dental. Dr. Bassi and the staff are fabulous!! I was fitted for my appliance and have had much better sleeps ever since I started wearing it. No discomfort at all. I am very glad to have tried this first over the CPAP.

The admin staff are so helpful and friendly during bookings, rescheduling, and billing. The dental hygienists are absolutely amazing! So kind, gentle and thorough during the checkups. Fantastic experience: I am so grateful that my family dentist sent me to Highland Hills Dental for my TMJ. Before I went there, I was experiencing bad headaches, swelling on the whole side of my head, I couldn't wear the processor for my cochlear implant for any length of time due to pain. My sleep was always interrupted, I woke up in pain and my teeth wouldn't close properly to eat. Thankfully I went to Highland Hills Dental and although I thought getting the appliances was expensive I knew I was worth it. Then I realized that the price included all my visits and both a day appliance and the night appliance with warranty. After a few weeks my headaches reduced, my sleep was better and I could eat easily. After the 8 week regimine my headaches are gone, I can wear my processor the whole day and I wake up rested and pain-free. Thank you to Highland Hills for your help and for the friendly staff that made everything so easy.

Negative experience: Receptionists are rude and snarky.. Very unprofessional and don't make you feel welcomed. Believe it or not, not everybody uses their full names on google by the way. I have been seen at this clinic before and was ready to make a follow up appointment until your receptionist was blatantly rude upon my arrival. It would be helpful to take some accountability for your actions instead of getting defensive and reporting every negative review you receive. No wonder your ratings seem so high on google. Fantastic experience: I recently got a root canal done at the westheights dentist on highland road and they left my two teeth at the front so grey and it made me so upset and made my self esteem low I felt like I couldn’t smile cuz it looked ugly, but these people fixed it so well it matches my normal tooth colour and it started changing right after they did the treatment :) and there so gentil I recommend this dental place so much all the staff are so nice.

There was some initial misunderstanding and miscommunication, but everything has now been clarified. I would like to express my gratitude to the manager and the receptionist at the front desk for their efforts in resolving the matter. However, I feel it's important to mention that my interaction with one of the staff at the cashier's desk was less than satisfactory, as there was no attempt made to address the manner in which communication was handled. Despite this, I would still recommend Highland Hill Dental highly. The professionalism and dedication shown by the manager especially deserves recognition.
