Fantastic experience: Appreciate the patience and care from Dr. Ahmed and staff in the context of significant anxiety with needles for my son. Following conversation and full explanation, my son was then able to move forward with the procedure and even said "you did the needle? I didn't even feel it".

Fantastic experience: After years of not going to a dentist, I’m glad I chose Scottsdale Dental. Had a broken tooth, they got me in the next day for assessment and a few days later for the root canal. I’m usually very nervous with dental procedures but was very comfortable here. Everyone I have encountered at this office is extremely pleasant and takes the time explain procedures and what to expect afterwards and also to answer any questions you may have.

After an arduous previous session involving an extraction with a very stubborn tooth with curved roots my most recent session was blessedly short and sweet. Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist my whole life and am 33 now. I’ve switched lots of services in my life but I’ve always been happy with Scottsdale Dental Centre. They are a great dentist office! The whole office is very friendly and I would absolutely recommend them. The hygienists are all very gentle and professional and the dentist is also great work with. My whole family goes there and I’ve sent my girlfriend and other friends there and I’ve never once heard of anyone having a bad experience. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but thought these people truly deserve it.

Fantastic experience: Great first experience here! Thought that they were just going to look at my wisdom tooth and then book an appointment to pull it out. They went above and beyond my expectations by taking quick x rays, having a quick look and then asking me if I wanted to have it pulled right then and there! Was in shock but also happy with how quickly they did this and how fast and easy the removal of the tooth was.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in a very long time due to past dental trauma, but finally needed to for a wisdom tooth removal. The team at Scottsdale Dental Centre made the whole experience very easy and talked me through everything I'd need to get done. My experience here has been the polar opposite of my past experiences with dentists. They're kind, compassionate and made my journey to fixing my oral health better than I could have imagined.

Negative experience: Review fishing is so annoying. The service is good, I like coming here. A little sign at the front is no big deal, but using my private and personal information to send me texts/e-mails requesting a review on Google is wildly inappropriate. You have that contact information to give me relevant medical information and details about upcoming appointments, not to fish for Google reviews.

Fantastic experience: The team at Scottsdale Dental are the absolute best! I'm an orthodontics veteran, so I've had about five sets of impressions in my life. I hate them with a passion, but I didn't have a single moment of discomfort with Zitty taking care of me. I didn't know that taking impressions could be this comfortable, but Zitty is GIFTED! I had a cleaning just after, and Sarrab was beyond gentle and efficient! It's a rare occurrence when your hygienist is less aggressive than you are! And for the folks still taking COVID precautions, SDC has surgery-air-quality purifiers throughout the building, and I witnessed multiple staff wearing actual N95 respirators or KN95 masks. I feel better protected there than I have at the hospital!

Fantastic experience: I was anxious about my upcoming root canal and have a lifetime of dental nervousness. Dr Ahmad and the capable assistant did everything to make sure I was comfortable and I left feeling grateful that not only was the procedure completed successfully, but I had nothing to fear.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ahmad helped me with the problem I was having. He was very helpful and took a telephone call from me while I was at the pharmacy to confirm medication or alternatives to the one he prescribed. Thank you very much for your care and assistance.

Negative experience: I went here about two years ago with a cracked tooth. He said it couldn’t be saved and performed an extraction. I told the office during follow-up phone calls my pain was worse. He “squeezed me in” and “fixed it” (literally just filed the tooth down assuming it was a bite match issue) but my pain was even worse. I’ve now had it confirmed by ANOTHER dentist at a separate clinic that he didnt perform all the necessary steps and my pain would keep getting worse without immediate intervention. One visit to another dentist and my two years of severe pain were immediately over. But 3 visits at Scottsdale dental made it worse. Figure that one out. I wish I could give this clinic zero stars. Unprofessional and unhelpful. I would have been better off never going there but they were the only office with open slots two years ago. Now I know why.

My appointment was at 9:20 and they were exactly on schedule and maybe even a bit early! I was very impressed with the services I received. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Shabana has been my dental hygienist at Scottsdale Dental Centre. She is always so friendly and professional. She does a thorough job cleaning my teeth, but it is never painful or uncomfortable. She makes great recommendations for the best products to keep up with my oral health. My two kids have also been to see her and she’s so great with them! It’s great having a familiar face each time!

Fantastic experience: Great staff , lovely facilities, warm and friendly tone from the moment I stepped inside to the moment the door closed behind me on my way out. The dr. Was highly knowledgeable and willing to give his time to me in order to weigh the costs/ benefits of various treatment plans. Even though his office is a bit of a long travel route for me to get to, I’m sticking with him because of how cared for I felt there. If you are anxious at the dentist or have endured medical/dental trauma , Scottsdale dental comes highly recommended.

Dr Ahmad has been my dentist now for about a decade and is a great person and dentist. It was also a pleasure meeting my new hygienist today. Negative experience: My first visit to Scottsdale was excellent. I was dealing with severe jaw pain from a wisdom tooth, and while my regular dentist couldn’t see me for a month, Scottsdale got me in within the week. I had a consultation and the tooth removed the same day, fast, efficient, and a huge relief. That great first experience is exactly why I chose to return when I started having the same issue on the other side of my jaw. Unfortunately, my second visit was completely different. I booked the appointment specifically because of the same jaw pain but on the opposite side. I was told I was due for a hygiene appointment, which I agreed to. During the visit, I had my teeth cleaned and x-rays taken, but no one addressed the primary reason I came in. I clearly explained my jaw pain and concerns to both the hygienist and the assistant doing the x-rays, but I was brushed off and told that someone might review the x-rays in two weeks. This was incredibly frustrating, especially because I was under the impression based on my call with the receptionist that the process would be similar to my first visit, with prompt care and clear communication. I now regret choosing this dental office again, as it honestly felt like a waste of time and money. I’m still in pain, struggling to move my jaw, and eat, and now have to seek care elsewhere from a clinic that will actually take my concerns seriously.

Positive experience: Dental Technician Shabana has an excellent, gentle touch. My hygiene appointment was my best experience at Scottsdale Dental Centre. Shabana also gave advice on the areas that need greater attention.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience here. They recently upgraded their sound system and it makes the whole ambience nicer to be in, it doesn't feel so clinical. The staff is always so warm, welcoming and friendly. Shabana has always been great, and I've been coming here for years. You can tell they care about their patients here. They give you great advice, and are always happy to answer any questions or concerns you have!

Fantastic experience: Even for an early morning appointment the reception happy and efficient - makes me feel comfortable right away. As always hygienist Heather did a wonderful job - she is a treasure! Just finished a second appointment - freezing hasn't even left my mouth - I was amazed at the precision team work Dr Ahmed and his assistant ( I forget her name - she deserves recognition ) performed as they replaced 2 old fillings - hardly a word between them - sooo good. As is typical with them I didn't feel a thing - fast, easy, and painless - I wish they were around when I was a kid! shout out to reception staff - always engaging.

Heather was my hygienist and did a wonderful job at explaining to me what she was doing throughout the whole cleaning and gave me tips for bettering my dental health. The front desk was super friendly and helpful with the initial paperwork and insurance coverage . The dentist I had was named Mohammad I believe and his bed side manner was honestly so excellent. He was very calming and confident and well spoken, I felt totally at ease under his care, he took the time to show me the x rays and explain what we were looking at and he made sure I understood everything and took time for me to ask questions. I will definitely be returning to this dentist and will likely use them as my permanent dentist in the future :)

Then she tells you what to do to address them or if warranted asks you to book an appointment with the dentist. If you're looking for a hygienist - Heather is the one for you.

Fantastic experience: April 2025 She's back! Heather has had a successful knee replacement and is back in the saddle. She has been our hygienist for - dare I say it - over 30 years! It was a difficult cleaning this time as we were catching up on everything while she was poking and prodding and deftly cleaning my teeth. December 2024 Merry Christmas to all and to all a good cleaning! Lovely time at the dentist...kind of sounds like an oxymoron. Having the fluoride delicately brushed onto my teeth, I couldn't help but remember the bad old days of foam trays squeezed onto your teeth - top and bottom - with a air sucker stuck in between. PHEW! Don't miss those days...but for the last 35 years, all my dentist days have been at Scottsdale. Thanks for the memories! March 2024 In to be picked and cleaned. As always...it was the best experience one can have in a dentist chair. Everyone at Scottsdale Dental is professional and polite. It is always fun to get caught up on life with Heather...not the place you would expect to go and have a lovely social time! January 2023 Another hour in the dentist chair. This time I could actually tell it was time for a cleaning. Heather did not disappoint. We chatted; laughed; laughed some more...and oh ya...she did a stellar job of cleaning my teeth. I'm thinking perhaps one of these days, I may even fall asleep in the chair - that really would be something! I used to hate going to the dentist - like really hate it - now it is something I look forward to in my calendar...who would have thunk it! An excellent choice for dental care. Thanks all! Dec 2020 - adding to my review. Just had a crown finished. One of the things I love about Scottsdale Dental is their attention to MY time! Appointment was for 4:30, which is usually never a good thing at the doctor or dentist. It was scheduled for 20 minutes. I was in the chair at 4:32 and in the car at 4:50...Awesome. Dr. Ahmad is very gentle and except for the cold air - we got along just fine! Such a great dental office. Thanks. We've been going to Scottsdale Dental for over 25 years! The Dentist is not my favourite place to be, however the professional care and service I receive here, plus the laughs with Heather all make it the best experience possible. I'm confident my dental health is well taken care of. Thanks for the memories! May 2021 - in for a cleaning/polish. Heather is the absolute best dental hygienist. We have a weird and wonderful relationship that’s lasted over 30 years! Nancy has also been there forever….and it is always nice to see such friendly, wonderful, professional folk. I hope they never retire because if they do….I may stop looking after my teeth! It’s a close to fun as going to a dentist office can be!!! February 2022 - just in for my cleaning; x-rays and checkup. My hygienist Heather and I laughed so much, it was hard to believe I was in the dentist chair. It’s funny how much we can communicate with all that gear in my mouth…guess its the years of practise we’ve had - like over 30 years! That is a long time to be going to the same dentist and same hygienist…I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thanks Heather for always making my time at the dentist enjoyable - which is saying a lot!!! August 2022 - my visit for cleaning was just like stopping in to see the family! Heather, Nancy and I got all caught up on life; congratulated each other in our current life excitement; exchanged family updates and future vacation plans…and oh ya…I did get my teeth cleaned! As always, I have made a promise to myself to floss everyday….I give it a week or so…oy!

Fantastic experience: I really like the dentist here and the way he did my fillings. I've had fillings before and for whatever reason it's hard to get a complete freezing of my mouth, so I generally get a lot of nerve pinching while they are drilling. This is the first time I've had a completely pain free dental procedure like this. Also worth noting that it's one day following and I'm totally recovered and my bite is exactly as it was before the surgery.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Scottsdale Dental. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, from the receptionist to the hygienist who took my x-rays. Dr. Ahmad was also great—he took the time to thoroughly explain everything. He walked me through my x-rays and answered all of my questions with patience, which I really appreciated. Fantastic experience: Great experience here! I had a wisdom tooth come in over the holidays and my regular dentist wasn’t able to squeeze me in. This office not only gave me an exam appointment very quickly, but were also able to schedule the wisdom tooth removal very quickly as well! The dentist was very nice and very good at his job (the procedure was so fast and painless I didn’t even know it was done!) everyone at the office was very pleasant! I have now made the switch to Scottsdale dental for my regular dental care. I highly recommend this office!

Negative experience: Terrible service! I called today to the clinic at 8:28 AM, saying they had an 11:30 AM cleaning appointment available. I canceled another appointment to adjust my schedule for this. Less than five minutes later, I called back, only to be told the slot was no longer available because the doctor wasn’t feeling well. This level of organization and communication is highly unprofessional and shows a complete lack of respect for patients’ time and commitments. Very disappointed and will not be returning!

She was very professional and detailed with her explanations throughout the procedure and appointment. Her honest communication skills were appreciated. There are lot of choices for dental offices/clinics in Guelph and surrounding area. I recommend Scottsdale Dental for anyone evaluating their options and who are looking for a new clinic.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is super nice, from the dentists to the hygenists to the receptionists. Lots of reminders for appointments, and they are very understanding if you need to reschedule, which is especially helpful when you have kids. They are also very patient with my kids during their appointments which I also really appreciate. Would highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Just switched to here from another dentist and it has been great! Everyone is very friendly, and it is easy to get an appointment time that works for me. Everyone has also been on time and efficient with my appointments. I have spent very minimal time waiting on hygienists and dentists. In general, I get a lot of anxiety going to the dentist, but everyone has been so kind, understanding, and nonjudgmental, so I have felt very comfortable!

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful place. I'm not a huge fan of going to the dentist but I felt very comfortable here. The staff are amazing! Extremely helpful, friendly and treat you as a person (oppose to a 'client' or number). Walk you through things, confirm with you what is about to happen before during and any aftermath that may arise. I'm so thankful I've become a patient here.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient here since I was a little girl. Over the years, the staff have always been so warm and friendly and make you feel comfortable. Dr. Ahmad is a top notch dentist and so nice, too. The staff are also really great with children, including my own son who is super squirmy in the dentist chair. There is a kid's section in the waiting room with lot's of books and a TV. I live in Toronto now but still come to Guelph for this dentist!

Fantastic experience: I had a cleaning with Manisha this past week and she was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and efficient. Hygienists like her make dentist appointments a breeze! I've been going to Scottsdale for more than a decade at this point and have never had a negative hygienist interaction but Manisha was really awesome!

Fantastic experience: From the initial phone call inquiring about services and appointments the ladies at the front desk are kind, warm and welcoming. Had a cleaning with Kelly she is lovely gentle and informative! X rays and emergency appointment was fast precise the dentist is very kind and genuinely easy to talk to about your concerns. Fantastic experience: I just had a routine teeth cleaning from Shabana and it was most pleasant. She was gentle, efficient and I felt very comfortable in her care. My 6 year old had 3 filings done earlier in the week and we were in and out in under a half hour. The team put him at ease and it was a breeze from beginning to end. Fantastic experience: I have been attending Scottsdale Dental for a couple of years now and I am very pleased with the service. Everyone is very pleasant, kind and welcoming. My hygienist, Shabana, does an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. I have a damaged nerve on one side and it can be quite painful if a hygienist does not know how to deal with it. Shabana is so gentle but thorough that I do not feel at all anxious when she is working in my mouth.
