Negative experience: I was considering visiting this clinic, but after reading a comment from a patient who recently had a traumatic wisdom tooth removal experience, I decided not to proceed.

Fantastic experience: Dr Dana is the best ever, all of my family loves her. She is soo kind and sweet ❤️❤️❤️

Negative experience: We are new to this dental office. I scheduled a cleaning appointment for my 6-year-old son. If there were an option to give zero stars, I would. I had already informed them that my son has dental trauma from when he was 4 years old. When my son started to cry, the male dentist said, ( “Hey, hey, hey, don’t cry, There are a lot of patients/kids. This is not your house,” and he repeated this several times in a loud voice.) I was shocked and didn’t know how to react because I was focused on holding and comforting my son. He spoke to my child as if he were an adult, forgetting that he is only 6 years old. The dentist was extremely rude in the way he talked to and treated my son. The female dentist was also somewhat rude. When my son complained about blood and water in his mouth, he wanted to spit because he was uncomfortable and scared of the blood. She loudly said, “Don’t spit in this office.” In fact, he wasn’t trying to spit—he just wanted a tissue. I asked for a tissue, but she repeated herself 2–3 times in a rude and loud tone. On the way home, my son told me he never wants to go back because they were rude. Even my 6-year-old noticed their attitude. That says a lot. Never again. Zero stars!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a small repair completed on one of my lower front teeth requiring me to receive an injection for pain relief. I have had many of these injections over the years for dental work performed in the past, never have I had an needle injection in my mouth that I didn't feel the initial poke, some worse than others, its always been one of the worst parts of any previous visit and has always caused fear and anxiety with all dental visits. This time Dr.J.Martins gave me an injection and I was amazed I had not felt a thing, no pinch or poke, nothing, she had rubbed on a bit of the freezing jell on my gums to help with the initial poke, not sure if this jell was a stronger blend than previous jells used on previous visits but if I had not seen and felt the pressure of the needle in her hand go in and out I wouldn't have known I even got an injection, I was amazed and wishful that all future visits will be the same. Great job Dr.J.Martins.

Fantastic experience: My kids had their dentals done at summer smiles and the staffs are amazing right up to the receptionist. Topnotch services

Negative experience: I was a patient for two years, going with my family for our checkups and cleanings. They recommended I have my wisdom teeth removed, we set a date, and I did. The doctor who operated on me went on a trip a few days after my procedure, and Dr. Dana took over. A week later, the pain persisted, so I went back for a checkup. She told me everything was fine and I should wait. She refused to prescribe the same pain medication, even though I told her I couldn't stand it. I returned days later because the pain was unbearable, and she told me to take Tylenol and Advil and that everything was fine. I had to have a video consultation with another doctor in another country. This doctor told me I had dry socket because the pain had spread to my jaw and ears. I went back to Dr. Dana and told her about this. She examined me again and said that wasn't the case, that my symptoms were normal, and that she couldn't help me or prescribe anything for the pain. For two weeks the pain had been getting worse instead of better, and it was unbearable. I made an appointment with another dentist at a different clinic, and the first thing he told me was that I had dry socket on both sides. Because of this, he had to clean and reopen the wounds to thoroughly clean everything. It was extremely painful. He prescribed something for the pain, which did work, and I've been improving ever since. I found the treatment I received inhumane and unethical, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Now my recovery will take another 6 to 8 weeks due to the bone infection they failed to detect or treat. I will never go back.

Fantastic experience: We have been going to this dental clinic for about one year. Last year, my spouse had a cavity filled, but it did not go well. After two weeks, food started getting stuck in the tooth, and our insurance had already run out. We had to wait until the next year to fix it, and it was not a good feeling. However, I want to give a big thank you to Amanda, the receptionist. She was so patient and helpful. She worked with me calmly and made sure we got the insurance money back. I really appreciate her support. I also want to thank Dr. Mustafa. He honestly felt like a savior for us. When we came back the next year for the filling again, he took great care of my spouse, and everything went smoothly. I was scared to get my own deep filling because of what happened the year before, but Dr. Mustafa made me feel safe and comfortable. Because of Amanda and Dr. Mustafa, we decided to stay with this dental clinic. They are the reason we did not change our dentist this year. They make a great team. Thank you so much, Amanda and Dr. Mustafa!

Negative experience: Funny how SummerSmiles Facebook and Google reviews raffles fancy gifts for good reviews — I never saw one, have they ever published winners? No! What I did see were overbilled dental claims! Makes you wonder what’s really behind all those five stars.

Fantastic experience: Today i had my wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Mustafa, and he did an excellent job! The entire procedure was smooth, quick, and almost painless. Dr. Mustafa explained everything clearly, made sure I was comfortable, and followed up with great care afterward. I highly recommend him to anyone needing dental work or extractions — truly a professional and skilled dentist!

Fantastic experience: What a scary thing it is when you are looking for a dentist or a hygienist. Will I like them, will the hygienist be respectful of my fear of any dental work and the fact that I have sensitive teeth and a very low pain tolerance? Will I be intimidated by the front staff, or reception that keeps me waiting? Will they judge me for my fear? Well, let me tell you right now, if you are reading my review go no further because I will tell you straight and honestly.....this office is for you! From the moment you walk in they make you feel like family, or like an old friend. There is nothing intimidating about this place. I look forward to my visits with them all. For me, I went to Eva for a cleaning and first exam. She was as gentle and as kind as could be. From our first visit together she sensed my fear and she proceeded to tell me that she understood my fear, and would be very respectful of me and for me to stop her at any time if I thought it was too painful. With each tooth I tensed up, and she stopped and said, "are you ok"? and I said, yes, it's ok to proceed. When my cleaning was done, she asked how I felt, and I felt so relieved that someone took such care of me and I have never looked back...this was about 10 years ago and I have recommended her to many, many people and I will continue to do so. To this day, I still clench my teeth and because we have such a great patient , client relationship, she laughs and with her wonderful smile, still tells me it will be ok, and every time she is right. I leave with healthy teeth and gums, that she has taken very good care over the years. As for my dentist, it is Dr. Shergin. I could go on for days about how kind this man is, and I like to say he "smiles" from his heart. Besides being a brilliant dentist, he too, is so patient with me, and he stops what he is doing every few moments to make sure I am ok. He tells me to raise my hand if I feel any pain, and guess what, I have never had to raise my hand. He is gentle and gives me his precious time no matter how long it takes. I wanted implants and veneers so he gave me a very detailed cost analysis, and how we could proceed.....no pressure sales and he welcomed me to check out other offices and costs. I could not pay all at once so he told me about their payment plan....BRILLIANT! I do not generally write reviews because frankly, I don't think I articulate properly or write with proper grammar, but I do tell all of my friends, family and even people in grocery store lineups about my dentist's office ...lol, just in passing, and when I am at Costco I drop of his cards to people working. I really believe in this man, and I will tell you this from my heart, he hires like minded people. I have only experienced wonderful people here...I want to name all of them but I am afraid I will leave someone out, so take my word for it, you will NOT meet anyone here that is not dedicated, professional and truly experienced. I love my veneers and crowns. I am so thankful, grateful and everyone I have recommended to this dentists' practices, (he has a few office around the city) call me and tell me they are grateful too. Fantastic experience: My daughter loves this clinic, shes been afraid of going to the dentist but after going in summersmiles shes not afraid anymore, because she said her experience with her hygenist and the dentist there that attends her are very friendly. That is the also I recommend this clinic to my friends, family and co worker, they also a lot of option that will be giving especially when you need braces for your teeth, have a lot of payment options.

They loved and adored my son as he’s only one so he just kept saying hi to them and everyone that walked in. The dentist was super friendly and knowledgeable as well which was nice. Super nice inside they have TVs in the room to make you comfortable and give you something to watch while they do anything. I am very anxious when visiting the dentist but Dr. Siddique took every single measure possible to make this experience as tolerable as possible for me. I informed him I was especially anxious regarding cavity fillings and he had it done in record time. All the staff here were very friendly and nice to me. I have been back multiple times since and they have made going to the dentist a much less daunting task!

But hands down, Summer Smiles Family Dental is awesome. My daughter enjoyed her visit too. From the reception to the dental assistants to the dentists, every single person was super friendly. I felt genuinely comfortable throughout the entire appointment. A special shoutout to the reception team! They welcome you with a smile, and you can just tell they’re a great work family. Fantastic experience: Dr. Siddique, and his associates went over and beyond to make me satisfied. I now have a white Hollywood smile, the best smile I've ever had. Speaking of smiles, Summersmiles is true to their name. Everyone is smiling there. The reception is courteous, considerate, and overall amazing! Dr. Siddique did a fantastic job. He was warm, knowledgeable, and showed that he truly cared. To me, that's very important. If you're looking for a new dentist, or denturist (yes they do dentures here), I would strongly recommend coming here

Positive experience: We recently moved to London in Summer-side community and found good reviews about this Dental clinic so thought to try it. My Dentist was Katie who was knowledgeable and respectful and also the assistant Nicole, who was a lovely lady. Nicole took good care of my teeth cleaning procedure and was thorough with all that she did. She also explained very well about the procedure of wisdom tooth extraction that I might opt for soon. Only thing that I found little off was that it was expensive compared to my Toronto dentist, even though my insurance covers most of it.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this dentist time again & again and now I will never stop talking how amazing this place is and how great the Dr. is. My father is ill and has been in the process of getting dentures and was not able to make it to the final impressions appointment for his dentures. Dr. went up to see my father at the hospital all the way up the north of the city upwards of 30-45 minutes drives with construction and traffic. When I heard about what he did, it brought tears to my eyes. I am very appreciative of the Dr. here and will tell this story and recommend this place to everyone! Negative experience: Good dentist but reception staff are so terrible that im switching dental offices. They have sent my referral to one doctor, then told me they sent it to an entirely different doctor. Meaning I was waiting around for weeks for nothing due to this. They have booked me for referrals without even informing me that they've done so. Rarely have the answers to any questions I have, and often the answers they do have are wrong (the wrong answers often mean a lot of extra effort for myself to find the correct info) If they don't have an answer rather than finding out they ask you to do their job for them and find the answer yourself.

Fantastic experience: The dentist I saw was so impressive, he actually told me realistic information about my teeth, and I am taking better care of them now. Other clinics may sugar coat things, but that is not in your best interests and won't help you in the long term. 'Brit' was friendly to me and cheery at my next appointment!

Fantastic experience: Summersmiles is one of the best Dental Offices, I've ever visited. Both Dentist and staffs are friendly and professional. I'd recommend this office to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I came in for cleaning and full examination. We were very happy with the services we received. The staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. The office is stunning as well, and the waiting area is very comfortable. We will be letting our friends know how great this dental office is.

Negative experience: This clinic (Summersmiles Family Dental) is terrible, and we do not recommend it due to the reception staff's disregard for people’s time and privacy. A friend of mine, who is a newcomer and currently learning the language, told me about the poor treatment he received at the center. Despite his circumstances, they showed no concern and escorted him and his sick daughter out of the clinic.

Negative experience: After four days of contacting the clinic and providing them with all necessary information about myself and my children, requesting an urgent appointment for them, and sending details via email and text messages, I took leave from work and kept my daughter from school today because the appointment was in the morning. Despite all these efforts, I encountered extremely poor treatment from the reception staff, contrary to their promises that a translator would be available to assist us. They refused to see my daughter before filling out a form with over 70 questions, despite my limited time, and we were escorted out of the clinic disrespectfully. Although I had heard positive impressions from some friends about Summersmiles Family Dental, I will now advise everyone I know against visiting the center.

Negative experience: Zero Post-Surgery Care re Impacted Teeth Extraction. Before my extraction surgery, I thought their standard of care was excellent. However, after my extraction surgery which involved the removal of two impacted wisdom teeth and two others that were not impacted (4 total) under general anesthesia, I won't recommend this clinic. Their post-surgery care was zero. To date, I only got a call three days after surgery to know if I had any questions. The surgeon didn't call or schedule any follow-up appointments to monitor the healing process. When I called the clinic to talk about it, the Office Manager, rather than taking responsibility and rectifying the situation, told me "The doctor knew you'd be fine." When I told her about my sister's excellent post-surgery care experience with a different surgeon at the clinic, she told me "Each patient is different." Shouldn't the basic standard of care be the same across the board for all patients? By the way, I'm not fine. It's one-month post-extraction and the sides of my mouth still feel swollen and hard. I don't know if that's normal or not. The "Owner" initially responded to this review and agreed that the lack of care was unacceptable but required me to "contact" them directly. Two points to note: I reached out to them to allow the clinic to rectify the situation before writing this review. The clinic's response to my review has now been deleted.

Fantastic experience: I have received nothing but amazing care from Dr. Dana and the Summersmiles team. They have been very patient with me. I appreciate the care and consideration I have received at each appointment.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time with any dentist Dr. Mustafa Al-Ani was really helpful for me and my husbabd. Would recommend to everyone as the office was nice and clean.
