After immigrating to Canada, meeting such a wonderful team has meant so much to our family. It’s impossible not to mention Kate as well — she handles everything with a beautiful smile and such warm, positive energy. At times when we experience language barriers and are still adjusting to the system here, she seems to understand us even better than we understand ourselves. My daughter, my husband, and I are so grateful to Sunningdale Dental. Dr. Mike’s communication skills and professional expertise are outstanding. Most importantly, when our daughter faced her very first dental issues at a young age (she was only 5), she did not cry at all during treatment. I can't say the same for other dentists...Suningdale Dental staff are friendly, punctual, fair, honest and make patients feel good. They don't try to sell products that aren't necessary and seem to have everyone's best interest at heart. Dr. Aiello is top notch.

Negative experience: This one star rating is for the front desk staff. I have been a long time customer and really appreciate the dental hygienists and dentists, so much that we continued to go to this office when we moved further away. However, I had to cancel/ask to reschedule two appointments in the last few weeks for reasons (illness) beyond my control. When I called this morning to cancel, the receptionist’s response made me feel awful for having to cancel. Her only response was “oh, it’s very last minute” with a rude tone focusing on the inconvenience for their office. Yet their office just re opened today after being closed the last two weeks for holidays, and our family became ill overnight. Again, illness is something out of our control so I gave notice as soon as I could this morning. Her response didn’t sit well with me so I called back to speak about it and her response to this second call was even worse. When I told her I didn’t appreciate the way the cancellation was handled she said “aw I’m sorry to hear that,” taking no accountability or perspective of how she displayed poor customer service. She also responded that she needs to adhere to cancellation policy, yet she never mentioned ANYTHING about policy in the first phone call and instead made me feel like crap noting I cancelled “very last minute.” When I said I would appreciate to speak to a manager she also mentioned she is the assistant manager. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning after years of service, which is a shame as we really like the the dentist and dental hygienists.

Fantastic experience: The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. I especially liked my hygienist, Kayli, who was very helpful and careful with the water descaler! I really appreciated her thoroughness and thoughtfulness during my cleaning. It is a big stress for me and she made it very painless!! Thanks Kayli!!! I also met Dr Dave and he was very helpful and kind as well! I’m glad I made the switch to Sunningdale Dental.

Negative experience: I’m disappointed with my experience at Sunningdale Dental regarding billing transparency and customer service. My son was initially scheduled for two cavities, and then the following week was scheduled for three more. Each filling is quite expensive, and having them split across visits resulted in us exceeding our dental benefit limit and paying approximately $850 out of pocket. What was most upsetting is that no preliminary insurance estimate was done. Most dental offices will submit a pre-authorization or at least flag when treatment is likely to exceed a patient’s benefit limit, especially when the cost per visit is $300 or more and the cavities are not urgent. That did not happen here. I feel this situation could have been avoided with better communication and standard billing practices. It’s not fair to patients to be left with a large unexpected bill when a simple preliminary check could have been done.

I found Dr. Aiello and Melissa very courteous, easy to understand and competent. They completed the work efficiently and I felt took an interest in me as a person and as their patient. Fantastic experience: I wish I could l leave MORE than 5 stars. I have spent decades hating going to the dentist. I have had a few different ones over the decades and have had some who were better than others but I still hated that part of life. I just accepted it as a necessary evil. Until I met David Aiello and the staff at Sunningdale Dental. Dr. Dave was recommended to me by a friend because I needed significant work done. My friend couldn't say enough great things about him and his staff, so I figured it would be a safe bet. Well, that's putting it mildly. They were all so wonderful. Friendly, down to earth, relatable and so empathetic of my situation and past experiences. They were getting ready to go on holidays for the Christmas break, literally in a day or two, but they squeezed me in so I could use my benefits which would have expired at the end of December. Dr. Dave gave me his personal cell number in case I had any issues over the holidays, and even called me at home after hours the next day to check on me to see how I was doing. I have never had a dentist extend that kind of care in my life. On top of that, the work was done without any pain or discomfort, and it was done to perfection. If you are like me and you hate the dentist, this is the dentist to go see. If you want work that is done with incredible care and precision, this is the dentist to go see. If you want a dentist who cares about his patients over and above the 9-to-5 hours they keep or the dollars the patients are spending, this is the dentist to go see. I wouldn't say I "like" going to the dentist yet, but if I have to go, this is the dentist to go see :) Thank you Dr. Dave and Staff!!

Fantastic experience: Convenient location for one stop stoppings for: dental, grocery and drug store. Safety environment: no stairs, nor elevators as it is on a main floor. Clean air purified in the dental office. Kindly and willing to help administrations. Treated me as a VIP patient in a private room, professional treatment with up-to-date dental tools, equipment and advice on which teeth needed to focus for a healthy teeth. On-line communications between a patient and dental administrator and on-line dental claims. I suggested my wife to switch from the downtown dental office to this Sunningdale Dental Center. She accepted and switched because; she does not have to go to downtown, no need looking for a car parking spot, no worry if parking time has expired, no payment for parking. In fact, it is in a walking distance from her home to the dental office, even bus stop is near to the dental office. Once she registered, the Sunningdale dental office takes care for all the transferring procedures. The patient does not have to involve in transitions at all. I am a scent sensitive person, but the dental patient office has an air purifier, so I was very comfortable in breathing in and out. The sunglass provided is greater protection for my eyes than my colored glasses. I prepared my teeth well before going to the dental office, but I have received more professional dental caring service on my teethes. Risk recovering procedures from an unexpected situation was impressive, for example, when the computer system was down, the recovery procedures are immediately pursued and the dental benefit claims were completed right away. Fast and effective communications between a patient and dental office with the reminder and confirming computer systems. There is no time lag after cleaning teeth, for the doctor comes right after for checking. There is a designated spot for a dental patient's belongings, so never missed nor lost patient's items. I have noticed that dental patients are all age groups from young ages and seniors. If I were a patient of the Sunningdale dental center much earlier, then my teeth would be much better conditions and healthier situations than what I currently have.

I needed a crown put on a tooth, which was located closer to the front of my mouth. I find it difficult to look forward to these type of procedures and lately anxiety quietly sneaks in when anticipating what lays ahead. Fantastic experience: I had a major toothache while I was in the U.S. recently and reached out to Sunningdale Dental Centre to see if they could get me in for treatment. Katie quickly responded with an appointment for Dr. Michael Carson, my regular dentist. The next day, the pain became more severe, so I reached out again to see if there was any way to move up my appointment. Katie found a slot for me to see Dr. Lindsay Aiello earlier. I was a little apprehensive since I normally see Dr. Mike (who is awesome), but I trusted Katie and knew I had to deal with the issue sooner rather than later. Yesterday, I saw Dr. Lindsay, and I was beyond impressed. She was thorough, incredibly detail-oriented, explained everything clearly, and got to the “root” cause right away. Both she and her assistant were caring and immediately put me at ease. Nobody loves going to the dentist, but when you truly need them—this is the place to go! I’ve now had experience with two dentists from this clinic, and both were amazing. I feel so lucky and grateful for this kind of care. BTW, a huge shout-out to Katie, who managed all of this for me! She was amazing—putting up with my constant texting, coordinating with the dentist I saw in the U.S., and handling everything with grace and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: As someone who lives with a physical disability and spent years trying to find an adult dentist who would be willing to take me as a patient, I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Dave and the Sunningdale Dental Centre team! They are highly knowledgeable, skilled, happy to accommodate my unique needs, and incredibly welcoming. They have taken the time to understand what I need their support with in order for any session to be successful (patience, distraction, and recognition that placing attention on my involuntary muscle movements is unhelpful). I highly recommend going you if you are looking for professional care from a compassionate team of people!

Fantastic experience: Recently had 2 extractions done with Dr. Brad Carson and his assistant Jamie. To say I was nervous about having an extraction is an understatement. From the moment I sat down in the chair Jamie answered all my questions and had me starting to feel at ease. Dr. Carson was very gentle and I barely felt anything during the freezing process. They talked about what they were doing during the extractions which helped my anxiety. Thank you both for taking such good care of me -an anxious patient!!

Fantastic experience: This office could not be more efficient! Excrptional front desk and entire staff. Excellent dental service by both hygienist and dentist, warm friendly staff, always incredibly on time. Knowledgeable hygienist Diane most recently, and Nancy and Kaylee in the past have been so positive and helpful to fine tune personal dental care. A caring, professional environment , 100% of the time( and I've been a patient, along with my family, for over 20 years). Fantastic experience: I appreciate the reminders of the appointment a few days before the appointment, the day before, and on the day of. I visited the practice today for a routine dental cleaning. The staff were very friendly as usual. I was taken in on time for my appointment. Nancy, the dental hygienist, was very thorough as always screening for head an neck cancer and doing a thorough but gentle job scaling my teeth.
