Fantastic experience: Dr Park, all the hygienist, and the reception team are incredibly friendly and helpful. I don’t usually like going to the dentist but they do every thing they can to make it a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Have always had a great experiencing visiting Richmond Dental Centre. I was previously a client at their sister company at Parkview, and the transition was smooth. The hygienist is attentive, and has given me solid advice that I have added to my routine. Dr. Andrew Park has been nothing but professional, and has connected me with a great orthodontist where I have begun my braces journey. Insurance claims have been made easy. Will continue to visit this location as long as I am in this area.

The dentists and hygienists are consistently professional, positive, and friendly — they make every visit comfortable and never come across as judgmental (even when reminding me to floss!). I also really appreciated how quickly they arranged a referral when I brought up a specific concern; the process was smooth and handled with great care. Negative experience: I’ve never written a negative review before, but after a recent experience, I felt it was important to share. I visited this clinic because I was having some discomfort in my back molar. I have a slight crack in a tooth that had previously been filled. The dentist informed me that my only option was to extract the tooth and replace it with an implant, which would cost $4,800. I asked three separate times if extraction was truly the only option and if a root canal, or refilling could work and each time she told me that unfortunately it was, and that delivering this kind of news was the hardest part of the job. Not feeling fully confident in her recommendation, I decided to seek additional opinions. I consulted three different dentists, and all of them said there was absolutely no need to extract the tooth. They reviewed my X-rays and explained that the tooth was stable. They recommended a more conservative approach to preserve my natural tooth. In the end, all I needed was a simple refill, and my discomfort is now completely gone. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend seeking a second opinion if you’re receiving dental advice here.

Fantastic experience: First dental appointment was worth it, from the day of appointment booking, the receptionist (a beautiful black princess) was welcoming and great, she took her time to explain things to me. Again, on the day of appointment, Zara the dentist was superb in her work and took me through every step she took. I had an awesome first appointment with a dentist, and it won't be my last visit. The consistency and quality of care keeps me coming back. Tenzin is always kind, gentle, and thorough, and she takes the time to explain everything, which makes every visit comfortable and stress-free. The clinic is friendly, professional, and very well run. I highly recommend this clinic, especially Tenzin.

Negative experience: worst service ever, fake HIGH rating. they don't care about your insurance. Just want to charge you more, will send you a bill after the service, to pay , as insurance doesn't cover that part (dont bother checking first). tooth condition wornsen after inexperienced hygienist did her work. even gave a lot of useless non-sense on insuramce claim, just because they didn't want to put in the work.

Negative experience: I have experienced several negative incidents here personally and although others may have received good service, I would never recommend this place to anyone. Clinic cancelled day of one of my appt's, a booking time slot made online was not honoured (even though their own site made it available), no screening email received prior to my appt. etc etc etc.

Negative experience: Highly not recommended. After a year, I finally decided to write this review. At the end of last year, I booked a dental cleaning at this clinic, and the experience was extremely painful. During the procedure, I repeatedly told the dentist that I was in significant pain and discomfort, but the only response I received was an impatient comment: “Be strong, OK?” That moment was incredibly discouraging. I had to stop the treatment because the pain was simply unbearable. The cleaning was only half completed, yet I was still charged the full bill. After returning home, I suffered from headaches for three days. For a long time, I even questioned myself — wondering if it was my problem, if I was being too sensitive or difficult. It wasn’t until a year later, when I finally rebuilt my confidence and went to another dental clinic, that I truly felt the difference in professionalism and care. Only then did I realize the issue was never me. Every time I think about paying my time, money, and energy just to be told “Be strong, OK?”, I feel this review needs to be written. It’s not that I wasn’t strong enough — it was the technique and professionalism that were far too “strong.”

Fantastic experience: Nobody likes going to the dentist.... But we have to. I'm glad I chose Richmond dental centre. All of the staff have been incredibly friendly, and I really do feel like they take care of my well-being with every single visit. Every part of the process was explained thoroughly, any concern or side effect I might experience after each treatment has been explained so there will be no surprises afterwards, so I've always left with a smile (even with the awkward half drooping lip smile from the anesthetic) My dentist was Christina which has done an incredible job and made sure I would feel comfortable throughout the entire treatment, even though I'm a person who does not complain at all, she checked for my well-being throughout the treatment over a dozen times. She even made sure to bring up and check any concerns she might have with my insurance coverage before starting the treatment, even though I feel like that is not even supposed to be part of her role, It's much appreciated. The only slightly negative takeaway that I would like to see improved in the future is perhaps a little bit more transparency with the documents and billing. I would really appreciate getting a statement automatically after each visit, or even the entire treatment plan at first. Especially if this is something I would need to cross reference with my insurance coverage. This is something that the staff has been able to pull manually for me, but I do prefer getting it automatically after each visit.

Fantastic experience: Personally I am terrified to visit the dentist. In the past I’ve always felt lots of discomfort and pain while getting my scaling/cleaning done and it’s always prevented me from visiting the dentist until NOW! At Richmond they take real good care of you. Zara was amazing, she was super patient and ensure I was comfortable all the time. Definitely going back in 4 to 6 months again!! Fantastic experience: I really appreciate Richmond Dental Centre for accepting the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)! They really model what I believe supportive and accessible dental care should be in Canada. I have financial anxiety seeking dental care having been previously burnt with unexpectedly high bills. Elisha, the receptionist, took her time to help me identify what was covered under CDCP and was very kind about the additional time that took. Dr. Fatima Zafar gave me the utmost care and professional guidance for maintaining oral health. She had a gentle hand and answered all my questions. Thanks to Dr. Zafar, Elisha, and the assistants who also did my cleaning, x-ray, and scans.

Negative experience: I wish I had read the reviews before going to this clinic. It’s not like other dental offices — they don’t seem to care about their patients. My wife and I started coming here last year, and this was my fifth visit. Normally, dental clinics inform you when your insurance coverage for scaling has been used up and explain any out-of-pocket costs before proceeding. However, this clinic went ahead with the appointment even though they clearly knew my insurance wouldn’t cover it. They also suggested doing a dental check-up today — luckily, I had a meeting and declined, or I would’ve been charged even more. I’ve already spent over $3,000 here this year, and my wife has too. There are plenty of other clinics that treat their patients better. We definitely won’t be coming back.

Sheryl my hygienist makes me teeth feel so clean and she is super thorough. She's checks my mouth and tongue for anything abnormal at the start of my appointment and we talk about any health changes. She is gentle which is really important to me. Who would have ever thought that I could look forward to coming to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going to Richmond Dental Centre for the past 3 years, and we couldn’t be happier with the care we’ve received. The staff is always so welcoming, and they maintain the highest standards of cleanliness—disinfecting surfaces right away after each patient. We’ve visited for cleanings, dental exams, cavity fillings, and even a root canal, and every time the team has done an excellent job. During my pregnancy and postpartum, the doctors were especially thoughtful and attentive, making sure I never felt overwhelmed during any procedure. On one occasion, they even followed up with a call to check that I had reached home safely after a filling, which meant so much to me as a new mom of a 2 month old baby. I also appreciate their flexible hours—they’re open late, which makes it convenient to book appointments after work. Richmond Dental Centre truly goes above and beyond for their patients, and I highly recommend them!

I have always heard that dentists push for unnecessary procedures at the cost of the patient. I am pleasantly surprised to find out thats not the case here. Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience at Richmond Dental for two years now. The dentists are knowledgeable and caring, and the hygienists always do a great job with cleaning. The patient rooms also have TVs at the top, which give you something to focus on during the visit. Highly recommended and compatible with insurance. My daughter has also been going here since she was 6 months old, and the dentists are very friendly and give good tips for taking care of her teeth for her age.

Fantastic experience: I am on holiday in Canada and had a dental emergency on a friday night. On Saturday morning, this dental centre was open. I called and obtained an appointment on the same day! Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. I felt very comfortable with the dentist, she was very attentive. You get glasses that prevent you to be blinded by the light and there is a TV on the ceiling you can watch while being treated (not common in my home country). Thank you so much for helping me!! ❤. Fantastic experience: Great dental surgery. First went here back in 2020, moved out of town and transferred to a new dentist. Still live out of town but not happy with new dentist so transferred back to Richmond Dental Centre. Very appreciative of the care provided by Dr Katherine Park and thorough explanations of treatment plans. Hygienists are always great too! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this clinic for about five years and initially had great experiences with Dr. Derek Chung, who was friendly and professional, and with Gloria, an excellent dental hygienist. Unfortunately, both have since left, and my experience has changed significantly. After Dr. Chung left, I began seeing Dr. Katherine Park. During our first interaction, she walked into the room mid-cleaning without introducing herself, briefly examined my teeth, told me I needed fillings, and left. I found the interaction abrupt and impersonal, which made me hesitant to proceed with any further treatment at that time. This year, I booked another cleaning, which was handled by a different hygienist. I was placed in a room without a spittoon (the small sink typically used during cleanings to rinse), which made the experience quite uncomfortable. There was no mouthwash offered at the start, and no opportunity to rinse at all. By the end, my face was covered in smelly saliva (mainly spread by the hygienist gloves), which was not what I expect from a professional dental cleaning. After the cleaning, Dr. Park entered again and performed an exam—this time very enthusiastic and overly physical, repeatedly touching my cheeks while pointing out areas needing fillings. It seemed like an effort to build rapport, and while a bit unusual, I was open to considering the treatment soon after. However, I was later surprised to find out that this exam wasn’t covered by my insurance, as it was one week too early before the next eligible date. I had not been informed in advance or given a choice about whether to proceed. When I raised this concern via email, the clinic responded (2 months later) that it was my responsibility to know my insurance limits. While ~$45 for the exam is not a significant amount for me, I believe healthcare providers have a responsibility to act in the best interest of their patients—not to perform billable services without clear communication or consent, especially when they appear motivated by promoting additional treatments (i.e. dental fillings).

Fantastic experience: Did my first ever dental checkup here in Toronto and I never regretted going into this clinic. They had the most cheerful and patient staffs and doctors. Procedures are explained and done in a very well manner. Will definitely go back here again!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient with this dental practice for 10 years. On April 17/2025 I had an appointment with the hygienist Tenzin and a check up with Dr.Katherine Park . As always, everything was carried out professionally and to the highest standard. The quality and professionalism of the practice can be experienced from the moment you walk into the office - there is always an excellent and considerate service delivered by all.

Fantastic experience: My family and a couple of my friends are devoted customers - we moved around Toronto a few times but we have never even thought of switching to another clinic. All the doctors and technicians I’ve been to were professional, and the administrative stuff is always helpful. Definitely recommend this clinic! 2025 update: still great clinic, and my family still goes only here even though after yet another move it’s up to an hour for us to get there - still worth it.

Fantastic experience: Dr Katherine Park is amazing! They entire staff is so kind, friendly and caring. A little more than a month ago, I chipped my tooth and got it fixed at another clinic (last minute emergency). I’ve been unhappy with the work that was done - my fixed tooth didn’t look good nor was the same color as my other teeth and it had already chipped. It was somewhat of a botched job - the tooth was uneven and clumpy. I’ve always seen Dr Park in the past and she has always given me the best care but when my tooth had chipped, it was a holiday. A few days ago, I called Richmond Dental to get an appointment with Dr Park to get the tooth fixed. They had a cancelation and were able to get me in today. I just left the clinic and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Every time I have seen her, she’s always explained very well the whole process. I had concerns with that specific tooth and she was very informative with what was happening and what could happen in the future. She is patient, kind and caring; gave me very helpful advices and made sure I was happy with my tooth. She knew how important the aesthetic was for me; we would never know this tooth is a filling - it looks good and perfect. Dr Park is wonderful and diligent. She gives the care that is needed unlike other places who try to give you an unnecessary and more expensive treatment. I’m really happy to have her and the clinic for all my dental concerns.

The check up and cleaning appointment with Zara was great, she went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t feel any pain and to share tips with me on having a better dental health.

Fantastic experience: Dr katherine is really helpful. Explains the process. The place is pretty nice with Netflix etc on the ceiling you can watch while getting treated... My first experience with the doctors and staff was related to an accident that I had and I was very impressed with how quickly they responded and scheduled an emergency appointment for me. I was very satisfied with the end result - the filling was done extremely professionally and the colour shade matching was very impressive. Dr. Krendler can definitely work some magic. My second experience was very recent - I had a regular maintenance - scaling done by Grace and it was excellent, too. Will definitely recommend this service provider to friends and family.

If you’re like me and have dental anxiety, she’s the one you want to see. She made the whole process incredibly easy and ensured my gums were thoroughly treated, leaving me with no discomfort and pain. Kudos to her!
