Fantastic experience: A very satisfying experience! The environment was very clean, the reception staff were very welcoming, and the medical staff patiently answered all my questions.

Fantastic experience: the place is clean and the dentist are nice. They do direct billing with the university so it’s very convenience. It’s also close in a walking distance to go. They give good suggestions, I was there a few times. Once time I was going to do cleaning but end up doing filling because they said my teeth are good just some cavities and let me decide if what I wanted to do. They showed me before and after pictures. When they start they also ask about my timing if I need to leave at a certain time very considerate.

Fantastic experience: Met with Dr Joo for an emergency root canal and he was by far the most efficient, kindest and honest dentist I’ve been to in all my life. I am so grateful and appreciative for all the help and work he did for me. Thank you so much. Also shout out to Cynthia (admin) who also worked so amazingly with me in scheduling me in. Grateful to have Dr Joo as my new dentist!

Negative experience: I've been seeing Dr.Stephanie Chan for 8-9 years and she's always sweet, gentle, and fun to talk to. I only see Joanne to get my teeth cleaned. She really cares about cleaning junk out of your gums, she's super throughal! My teeth and gums feel so clean and healthy every time I see her Even after moving to Finch, I still prefer going to this location. They have the best dentist and hygienist! Receptionists are usually friendly except sometimes I find them odd over the phone (might be new staff). Super recommend! Update: After 10+ years of going here, I'm quite disappointed. Every time I book an appointment with receptionist over the phone they would make a mistake and/or not come off nice. I've been clear with them that I only prefer Dr.Chan and there were few times I had to see another dentist because the receptionist made a mistake. I was willing to spend 1hr travel time (each way so total of 2hrs commute) to this dental office and I came to a point that this office doesn't care for long-term customers and found a new dental office closer to home.

Fantastic experience: I went there for an annual dental cleaning, and the person cleaning did a great job! Afterwards the dentist informed me that my gums are receding, and a cheaper fix will be to fill the sensitive layer of the teeth that doesn't have the protective enamel layer to it. I agreed to the procedure, which was fast, and didn't felt much pain or sensitivity. Overall great experience!

Fantastic experience: I've had two wisdom teeth extracted, one teeth cleaning, and one filling done here, all for under $100 total. I was nervous before my first visit, but the staff here are always warm and friendly, and the dentists are highly professional—including the hygienist and assistants:)

Negative experience: Writing this review 3 yrs after my appt because I still vividly remember how bad my experience was here. Top worst dentist experience of my life. Got a cavity filled here and it hurt for two weeks after which has never happened to me before. They tried to pass it off as normal. I know for certain now that it was not. The worker didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing to the point that in my impression, I thought it was a dental student. The center of the tooth was worn down a lot so the flat of my molar instead became a dome. This caused points of contact where my bite was messed up and there were high points that hitting and eroding my bottom molars that another dentist had to fix. Avoid if u can

Fantastic experience: I am a U of T student and I have been to St George dental for my annual check up and teeth cleaning 3 years in a row now. My experience was safe and welcoming. The staff were professional and the procedure was person centered. I also had dental bonding done and Invisalign consultation, and I loved my results. I would recommend St George dental! Their location is very close to campus which is an additional advantage for U of T students.

Fantastic experience: Happy with this dental office. I usually never wait more than 5 minutes once I check in for an appointment before being called. I got several teeth cleanings here as well as a large filling and they did a good job both times. I also inquired about a health issue that might be related to jaw issues and they arranged for a TMJ consultation and offerred me potential solutions, including who to follow up with for more diagnosis. The best part is my university student health plan covered almost all the costs so far! Everyone is always friendly too. Dr. Cheng, the owner, is a very experienced, friendly, and helpful dentist.

Fantastic experience: Came here for the first time recently and had a great experience. One of the few dentists I've been to that doesn't feel like they're "upsellling" me with unnecessary work I don't need. They also work really well with UofT insurance so that you don't have to pay anything for your cleaning/exam and they deal with all the paperwork and submitting. I couldn't ask for more than that!

Positive experience: I have always been Dr.Lee’s pt (uni about 7 years ago) and loved his ethics when it comes to pt’s care vs business. But nowadays he’s been pushing to go for unnecessary procedures to make more money (especially extractions)… slowly becoming like most dentists. Unfortunately, will be looking for a new one now :(

Fantastic experience: I got my wisdom teeth removal here twice. They were friendly, and the dentist was good at his job. My last one was removed in like 2 mins, so quick that I didn’t even know it was done! They know how to handle university insurance stuff especially for international students, so I didn’t have to worry about the fee!

Fantastic experience: I am a student at uoft and I had a great experience at St George dental. I was able to book my appointment very easily and dentists were very friendly! I got my teeth cleaned and cavities filled and the experience was very quick, along with being painless. My student insurance also covered most of the cost. Overall, I had a very positive experience and I will make sure to come back again.

Negative experience: The desk assistants didn’t seem welcoming and although I came before other people and stood right in front of the assistant she ignored me and called another person (“her fellow counterpart”) I literally left right after.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Stephanie Chan after a dental accident which required root canals. She was very empathetic and kind throughout the entire process. She took her time to answer all my questions and helped manage my anxieties/ worries. Dr. Chan and the rest of the team were very supportive during my time here. I could not have asked for a better experience.

The experience is so seamless and easy with booking, insurance and reminders so it just makes it very easy to come back. Negative experience: The service in this place is terrible. I been going for 7 years, ever since I was a student. So I have seen many of their dentists and hygienists, and only 1 was ever friendly. The energy is very passive aggressive, don’t explain things properly, and belittle you. Part of the job is educating patients on good practices. So happy that I switched

Fantastic experience: I had been having dental problems for a long time, and after a long while, I finally had the chance to meet Dr. Lee and his assistant. They are truly wonderful people. I didn’t have a dentist I could trust in Canada, but Dr. Lee is truly an excellent and one of the best dentist. Not only does he take the time to explain everything clearly about your dental situation, but he also works with great care, cleanliness, and genuine passion for what he does. His assistant and the staff are also incredibly kind, understanding, and helpful. I’m truly thankful to all of them.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had both a dental and orthodontic appointment here, and my experience has been excellent. Appointments were very easy to book, and I liked receiving reminder emails and the convenience of direct billing. The dentist I saw for the first time was kind, friendly, and had a great sense of humour, which made the visit very comfortable. He also took the time to show me the proper way to floss around my permanent retainer using floss and a mirror, which was so helpful!

I've been coming here for 8 years now (mostly as a graduate student) and have had a range of appointments - cleanings, check-ups, wisdom teeth removal, cavity fillings redone AND Invisalign. Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful experience. This was my second time back in two weeks. Two weeks ago I had a cleaning and today I went in for fillings. Front desk staff are incredibly efficient and welcoming. The hygienist I saw, I believe they called her Joanne, was very thorough and informative. She had taken a lot of pictures and explained everything to me. The dentist was probably the best dentist I’ve ever been treated by. He constantly checked in with me and provided lots of information every step of the way. Bonus points for playing early 2000s hiphop. I walked out of there feeling great and having 100% confidence St. George Dental.

Fantastic experience: had been searching for a good dentist in the GTA for a long time, and I’m really glad Google Maps allows people to share their experiences through reviews. I relied on those reviews and couldn’t agree more—this is one of the best dental practices I’ve come across. The team is highly professional and experienced, and their connection to the University of Toronto adds an extra level of credibility and expertise.

Fantastic experience: In May, I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Lee using local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. Everything went exceptionally well!!! (despite my case being a relatively difficult one) I’m usually extremely afraid of the dentists, but with him, the procedure went very smoothly, and I will definitely return. I barely felt any pain—even the next day—and within two days, I didn’t need any painkillers at all. The healing process also went great, and I’m extremely grateful that I chose this clinic and had him as my oral surgeon!!!

I had my wisdom tooth extracted here and the dentist was very kind and provided me every details that I needed post-extraction. They took an X-ray of my teeth to identify all the problem areas and then offered me a consistent treatment plan. Negative experience: Do not recommend this place. The dental hygienist (I am not writing her name here as I want to give her a chance to correct herself) spent so much time on the screen rather than cleaning my teeth. She asked me questions while she was doing the cleaning and clearly I couldn't response her. When she put her tool into my mouth, her upper body was still facing the computer screen. Few times, she lost the tool position from my mouth because her upper body (including her eyes) was facing away from me. Her cleaning behavior was harsh, not gentle that I was so afraid she sticked the sharp tool into my gum. Did not bother to let me rinse my mouth during cleaning until I asked for it. Once I finished rinsing my mouth, I told her I was ready to continue, but she spent extra minutes looking at the screen and also did not continue where she left of. Looked like she just picked random teeth she liked to clean. Total time at the cleaning office was around 30Min , she spent 65% on the screen and 35% (10Min) cleaning. Also, the receptionist seems odd. Detailed receipt is difficult to obtain. No description what kind of work that was done on the receipt, and when I asked she simply hand wrote (Please note that CRA likely won't give your medical tax credit when there is no description stated on your receipt and hand wrote won't be acceptable as everybody could write whatever they want). It's very suspicious how this clinic has high rating. Please investigate more if you decide to do big procedure with this clinic.

I went there for dental clinic in first year, and the dental hygienist was helping me to plan my insurance usage. I’ve never seen a dental office better than this one!!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently got my wisdom teeth removed here. Short story: My brother got his teeth removed from some other well known clinic, and in the end he got his jaw locked, and sent to the ER. He had an insane amount of swelling for 10 days, and it was overall not a good experience. We decided not to go to that same place for my operation, and instead decided to go here. The operation was done super professionally, and the employees were extremely kind. My swelling is not very visible, and I'm doing 10x better in comparison to my brother. These people are the LeBron James of dentistry.

I went most for an extraction for my last appointment and I was quite nervous. The dentist was very understanding and open to all my questions which made me feel safe to go to him. Especially considering how many staff were involved in my check-up + wisdom tooth removal, it was impressive how consistent they were in making the process smooth. Later, because the adjusted braces were still a little uncomfortable, the doctor and staff were very responsible and made an appointment for me to follow up for free! All the staff are very nice！

Fantastic experience: If you’re an UofT student with a dental plan, this is where you’d go for a dental appointment! I recently got my wisdom teeth removed here and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The entire removal process went smoothly and they also made sure to check in after a week to see how I was doing.
