Positive experience: I have never had a bad experience until today. I went in for a check up and I signed in, As I told the girl I will be in the other room in the play area she said that is ok I will let them know. I waited 30 minutes and got a text about how they were expecting my daughter. They had me waiting without communicating with each other that we were waiting. I hate this type of customer service. Good thing I took the day off from work.

Negative experience: We left the dentist because you would need to book months in advance for an evening spot. I'm not pulling my kids out of school for a routine cleaning. This place is supposed to cater to children who are all in school during the day; so the times that parents will book are after 3pm onwards. I should not have to book 6 months out for any sort of dental care because the dentist only works evenings two days a week when catering to a demographic that is ONLY available in the afternoon/evenings. Insane!

Positive experience: We love smilesquad and we always take our children there but today they took a really long time to see us we were 15 min before our appointment and we had to wait 10 minutes pass our appointment plus we had to wait extra 15 minutes to see the doctor after the check up so we were there a long time for a check up which was very frustrating as working parents but overall the service was good and hopefully they can improve that

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so calm and efficient for my 5 year old with eight (yikes) cavities including one extraction and a root canal. The environment was perfect for kids including the play area. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: We made an appointment and then it was pushed back. I explained we can't stay past noon as it will be his nap window, was told we will be seen before then but did not get taken in until 12:40! The intake with the 1st hygienist was a mess- she laid my dad and son in the chair and proceeded to ask questions and take down notes forever, which just made my 15 months old super anxious and for a child who should have been napping since 40 minutes, this just further aggravated him. When I told her that it would have been better to have him sit up or even walk around until they were actually ready to examine him and that this is my feedback to the experience so far, she stormed off as if what I said was a personal insult (very unprofessional). The 2 stars are because the dentist and the hygenist came to save the day, otherwise I'd leave 1 star. And then on top of that, in the long wait they didnt even take our insurance information, and so now I have to go back to bring it ‍♀️ We see a pediatrician next door, so I was hoping this will be our new dentist, but I don't think we will be back.

Positive experience: Been 3x. Waited 30-45min each time with a infant/toddler. The play structure was helpful for the 3rd visit but the first 2 visits were painful. Thought maybe it was just a bad day but it seems like every visit is like that. I understand you work with pediatric patients (I do too) and sometimes they can take more time. But it was getting a bit ridiculous when it happens each visit. Maybe book a little more time for each patient? Would probably be looking for a new place. Not interested in a specialized team when it's not really required at the moment and the wait time isn't worth it. Staff are friendly/fine.

Fantastic experience: We’ve visited this pediatric dental clinic three times now, and every experience has been wonderful. Each visit, our child becomes calmer and more confident, and that’s truly thanks to the amazing team here. The dentists are very gentle, attentive, and genuinely caring with children. The atmosphere is great as well - everyone, including the reception staff, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. There’s a slide for kids, and after each appointment they get tokens to choose little prizes. They also give a small gift set with a toothbrush and toothpaste for the child. We’re very happy with this clinic and always come back with confidence and a good feeling!

Fantastic experience: My son had broken springs on his braces, and the clinic asked us to come in just half an hour later. I really appreciate how responsive and caring they were, it’s comforting to know they act quickly in emergencies.

Negative experience: Very upsetting that the dentists in this clinic do not care about their patients. We had a great experience with the kids’ cleaning session that’s why we kept coming back to this place. However, when child who has special needs needed a procedure done, my perspective changed. We booked for filling last Oct 2024 and Dr. Rubin did the procedure and my child had oral sedation. One of the dentists told me prior to the procedure that they will have child asleep so I was relieved that it will be easier. We were quoted for filling but when she was doing the procedure, she changed it to crowns which cost more and we were not prepared for it yet. I cannot do anything but pay all the amount because she already put the crowns and they do bill the insurance but upfront payment. We then booked another procedure for another crowns on Aug 2025 because we were not financially ready to do it all at the same time. They mentioned financing at the clinic so I agreed. It was again oral sedation but this time Dr. Rubin was not able to finish the procedure. She put a temporary filling until we get to book another day for when they will put my child to sleep to do the procedure. The clinic billed me the 2nd appointment when it was not finished. They do not even mention applying for Healthy Smiles Ontario when my child is automatically eligible because of his special needs. Dr. Rubin knew from the start that my child has special needs and as per her experience, it is better to do the procedure when they are asleep. It costed us and extra $600 from the 2nd appointment we had. It was $3000 for the procedure to get the anesthesiologist to be involved when we could have done all the procedure in one appointment. Very disappointing! Front desk staff are always chitchatting and not really knowledgeable about other options to help families financially. They cannot even explain the statements properly and always had to have someone explain it. I would recommend this place, but not anymore.

Fantastic experience: We love Smile Squad. Everyone is friendly, which makes going to the dentist as a kid that much nicer. The TVs on the ceiling are brilliant, as are the little toys from the bubble gum machine at the end of each visit and the climbing apparatus in the waiting room. Highly recommend! Smile Squad has the best staff—from the front desk to everyone else. My kid is actually happy to go to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: Our 2.5 yr old had a great time at Smile Squad! The staff were incredibly good with kids and pulled every trick in the book, from gift wrapped tools and kid-friendly lingo, to stuffies with teeth they could brush and gum-ball machines full of toys. My anxious toddler had no problems. We will be back!

Negative experience: ⸻ We reached at 3:38 for our 4:20 appointment, but even by 4:40 we were still waiting to be seen. When we asked the receptionist for an update, she was very rude and dismissive, simply telling us to wait in an unprofessional manner. This is not the kind of service we expect, especially considering the amount we are paying to see them. A little courtesy, respect, and clear communication should be the minimum standard of care.

Fantastic experience: This place is truly amazing! Dr. Ashley and the entire staff are so welcoming, caring, and attentive. They really take the time to listen to your concerns and explain every step of the procedure, which makes such a difference. Both of my children had a terrible experience at a previous dentist that left them fearful, but Smile Squad completely turned that around—they actually enjoy going to the dentist now!

Negative experience: I really liked the place because its fun for the kids, they make the procedures easy for them etc. BUT they are all about taking your money. The dentist, I am not going to name her, suggested that our daughter needs crowns until her adult teeth grow(by age of 12) and my daughter was 7 at that time. We paid $5000 for her crowns out of pocket and one year later she started having her teeth with crowns wiggly. How the dentist did not see on the xray that the adult teeth will come sooner than predicted? Almost all of her crowns are out by age of 9. I called the office when the first crown came off and the management that was very rude said they cant do anything about it. What a waste of time, money and stress.

Negative experience: My 3 yr old waited 1.5 hours to not even see a dentist today! Don’t waste your time coming here. I found out over 1 hour into my appointment that there is only one dentist today (a prior heads up would have been nice). Not only were they late to the cleaning, we had to wait in a room for over 45 mins until we were then told the dentist would be another 20 mins (most staff stood in the hallway on their phones). I didn’t pay to hang out in the dentist office all day when my child needs to have lunch & get to daycare for nap & me to work! We had to leave at this point & I was still charged over $50 and the invoice thrown in my face since I told the receptionist I was unhappy and unlikely coming back. I had a very unpleasant experience here today and I think at least 4 other families did that I saw also walking out.

Fantastic experience: We went to Smile Squad for an ortho consult initially and my son (who is 10) loved it so much that we had to switch dental offices. From the receptionists, to the dentists and hygienists and orthodontists, everyone is so lovely and so knowledgeable. They have state of the art equipment and the atmosphere is made to make you and your child feel wonderful. Recommend so much that I’m considering switching my dentist!! ;)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ashley and Thea were amazing. They helped us feel comfortable even though our little miss was having a hard time as she hates her mouth being touched. They were thorough, didn’t give up on her and made sure we understood everything. Can’t recommend them enough! We will be back for her lip tie surgery in a few weeks and I have complete confidence already in this team. She was attentive to us as parents as well as the children, efficient, respectful and compassionate. We are traveling from 2 hours away to have our children in her care and won't look back!

Fantastic experience: Looking for the best children’s dental clinic in the city? You’ve found it. There’s good reason why this place has 4.9 stars. We came from 2.5 hours away. The staff are excellent and the dentists, especially Dr Sabrina, are top notch. Prizes for the kids after each visit make them want to come back again. Conscious sedation was a breeze and the kids didn’t feel a thing or complain afterwards.

Fantastic experience: I want to begin this review with a caveat that the service I am reviewing and that we experienced was at location in Leaside at 25 Industrial. Smile Squad were professional, super friendly and nice to our kids. My daughter was not scared before her surgery because she was occupied and having fun. The staff, doctors, nurses and assistants all made sure we knew what to expect and were very supportive and informative. The whole experience was very nerve wracking for us to have our 2.5 year old undergo her first anesthetic but the staff at Smile Squad made the whole process as smooth and supportive as possible. Great place and the results were excellent for our daughter which was the whole purpose. Strong teeth and happy smile. Thank you!

My daughter has a phobia from everything and I didn’t know how she would react especially after waking up from the general anaesthesia and realizing what happened to her teeth. I thought she would complain for days about the pain but on the contrary, one hour after she arrived home she was completely well and went on her day just as she would on a normal day. It was a beautiful space with a TV to keep her entertained and we were able to clean, scale and brush everything! Gaby was a great hygienist and we love how warm and welcoming everyone on staff was. Our toddler even got to get a prize after which was one of the biggest highlights! Absolutely the best place for a kid to clean their teeth!

Positive experience: We’ve been going to this kids’ dental clinic for years and have always had a great experience overall. The staff are friendly, patient, and great with children, which really helps put little ones at ease. However, I’ve noticed in the past few visits that wait times have become much longer, often around 30 minutes or more, which wasn’t the case before. Not sure if there has been a change in management or scheduling practices, but it’s something I hope they can improve on going forward.

Negative experience: We’ve always had positive experiences at this clinic, and my kids used to enjoy their visits. Unfortunately, our recent appointment was disappointing. The hygienist who worked with my 9-year-old son was noticeably rude and not suited for a pediatric setting. This kind of behavior caused him a lot of stress, which is the last thing you want in a child-focused dental clinic. We hope the clinic addresses this, as it’s not the level of care we’ve come to expect.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Sabrina Ramji and Ms. Grace during my son’s first tooth extraction. As a child diagnosed with ASD, my son can be quite sensitive in new situations, but the entire procedure was incredibly smooth and handled with such care and compassion. Dr. Ramji and Ms. Grace made us feel comfortable and supported every step of the way. Right after the extraction, they promptly arranged a referral for a consultation regarding my son’s extra tooth, showing their dedication to his ongoing care. Thank you both for your professionalism, kindness, and for making what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and safe for our family. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: We had an ok appointment yesterday, my son is a toddler so it was expected that he would be difficult and he found it hard and was crying but that’s not the issue at all, I think the staff did an ok job in general. I was glad he had no cavities and everything looked good. What I had an issue with was commentary on breastfeeding past 1 yo, I guess? i am not entirely sure what the nurse and doctor wanted to tell me when they said thay I should wipe my son’s teeth after every feed because apparently there is some sugar in breastmilk (even during the night which I responded to wasn’t realistic and probably wouldn’t be doing that) but no mention of what I need to give him instead, like cow’s milk? Or other food, since somehow that would be better for him, even though the AAP and WHO reccomend breatfeeding until 2 yo. There was a comment from the doctor “you should be working towards weaning…” something like that..

Negative experience: I was sent to smile squad as a recommendation from multiple other professionals and was assured they are the best in the city at release surgeries. Unfortunately, I was incredibly disappointed by many aspects of the process. It felt like a conveyor belt of releases, with little regard to individual needs. It feels like this place is strictly business and are incredibly overbooked not allowing them to deliver patient centered care. The day of the surgery they were an hour and a half late, with little apologies, acknowledgement or compensation for our wasted time. Every appointment except one was late beyond 10-15 minutes, with our initial being 45 minutes roughly delayed. The day of the surgery the surgeon had little to no respect for us as parents and only introduced herself after the procedure for two seconds to say it was done and went well. She didn't even step in the room, give us her name or give us a chance to ask any questions. We were never given the chance to meet the surgeon even in the lead up to the appointments. The dentist we did meet, was not the person who performed the procedure. Afterwards Michelle and her team are very quick to shame you if it is anything short of perfection and have no issues making you feel like you have failed as a parent. Think twice about spending all the time and money this requires as I do believe this facility, and this particular team has lost sight that they are not only dealing with children, but parents too.

Fantastic experience: The team at Smile Squad is very caring and compassionate. My son had a lip and tongue tie release and it was fast and relatively easy on all of us. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: After we found out that my 2 years old grandson has severe teeth cavities I searched around and finally decided to seek treatment with Dr Lori at smile squad. We are very happy with the result. Dr Lori is knowledgable, professional and very responsible. I strongly recommend Dr Lori Goldenberg. She is the best!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lisa was wonderful and knowledgeable. She was very patient with my son who had never had a filling before. I would highly recommend her. The hygienists are great too - so kind with my kids and detailed. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Today my child had two fillings done, and she was very nervous about it — but Dr. Sabrine was absolutely amazing! She made the entire process so easy and stress-free. Honestly, she’s the best doctor we could have hoped for! Our daughter felt calm and comfortable the whole time, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We also have to give a HUGE shoutout to our favourite dental hygienist, Shayna. Even though our daughter didn’t have an appointment with her today, Shayna stayed with her through the entire process , holding her hand and helping her feel safe and relaxed. That level of care and kindness is rare, and we appreciate it more than words can say! Thank you , SmileSquad ,for being so wonderful!!!!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, this was not a great experience for my daughter, who is neurodiverse. The environment upon arrival was very congested and chaotic, which immediately overwhelmed her. A quieter, more sensory-friendly setting would have been far more suitable. Due to the overstimulation, she became dysregulated and was unable to enter the rooms or proceed with any treatment. Given the many positive reviews and the scale of the clinic, I had hoped they would have more accommodations or strategies in place for children on the autism spectrum. Sadly, it didn’t work for us, and we ended up paying over $100 for a visit where very little could be done. I hope the clinic considers developing more inclusive approaches to better support all children, especially those with sensory sensitivities.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Smile Squad enough for the amazing care they gave my son during his tongue and lip tie release. From the very first contact, the experience was smooth and reassuring. Dr. Rubin was not only skilled and professional, but also very gentle and thorough in explaining the procedure and what to expect before, during, and after. As a new mom, that meant the world to me. Amanda, the lactation consultant, was a true blessing. She took the time to walk us through everything, answered all our questions with patience, and gave us the support and confidence we needed during a time that can feel overwhelming. Her knowledge and care made a huge difference . A big thank you as well to Shantelle, who was always quick to respond to my emails. No question felt too small, and she handled every interaction with warmth and professionalism. It really showed how much they care about the families they support. I’m so grateful for the Smile Squad team. They turned something that felt scary into an empowering and positive experience for both me and my son. Highly recommend them to any parent going through the same journey!

Fantastic experience: Today we saw Dr Mel and she was so wonderful! She is caring and kind to young patients, while also being very thorough in explaining procedures to adults, ensuring that everyone is comfortable and aware of what to expect. I would highly recommend Dr Mel and hope to have her take care of my daughter’s teeth again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mel and the nurse that assisted my son was so kind and attentive to my son and our concern. Dr. Mel assured me about any concerns I had as a parent. I truly appreciate her time to explain and not rush any matter as I was in a worried state. Overall the clinic is great and exciting for children. My son felt so special when he got to choose from selection of toothpaste brushes and toothpaste menus. Also, as a patient you feel extra special because the have the child’s name written on a board to greet them. They really went beyond what I expected. At the end the surprise my son got made him so happy too. Makes visiting the dentist much easier and less worrisome for kids. Thank you so much for this experience. We will be returning .

Fantastic experience: We have been coming here for years, but this is the first time I felt compelled to write a review. We hit the lottery with our dental hygienist today, I believe her name is Rachel G. I hope I got her name right. She was absolutely fabulous with my son. She was able to get his X-rays done without an issue. Last appointment, the tech did not mesh well with my son and I and it made a huge difference to the appointment. Today was absolutely amazing. She put us both at ease within a second. He listened to her well, X-rays done..a smooth appointment and a pleasure to be seen by her. Thank you very much-- I hope we get her again in the future, she's amazing!

Fantastic experience: We’ve had a great experience at this pediatric dental center. The staff is always kind and welcoming, and they truly know how to work with kids. My son feels comfortable every time we visit, and he actually enjoys going to the dentist! Fantastic experience: We love Smile Squad! Dr. Ayala was terrific with my 4.5 year old. He had to get 2 fillings. She asked him questions about the show he was watching. He was at ease throughout the procedure and even got a sugar free lollypop after it. The assistant today, Grace was really sweet and helped him throughout . We had exactly same experience when we went for a consult the last time with Dr Ayala. The assistant Jill also was really very patient with getting the x-rays! It was a wonderful experience! An extra thank you for the receptionist for being very patient when my cards were not clearing at the payment terminal.
