Fantastic experience: Taking my adult, special needs son, to a dentist is dreadful, and most dentist will not accept him. As for Dr. Picard, he has a kind way to make my son cooperative. Today, him and his amazing assistant (Maria), managed to do 2 fillings in less than 30 minutes. Almost a miracle!

Fantastic experience: I had a crown created by a 3-D printer implanted today. Amazing process to see one's tooth created in a digital environment and then manifested in physical form and installed all within one appointment. Kudos to Dr. Picard and staff for another fabulous experience.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at Downtown Dental. Dr. Lana was professional, gentle, and very clear in explaining everything during my visit. I also want to give special appreciation to the hygienist who did my cleaning. I’m sorry I don’t remember their name, but they were incredibly thorough, gentle, and made the whole appointment very comfortable. For my next cleaning, I would love to have the same hygienist again. I have a complete fear of dental work and have avoided it longer than I should have, but from the moment I walked in, the entire team made me feel calm, heard, and genuinely cared for. They took the time to explain everything clearly, never rushed me, and were incredibly compassionate about my anxiety. Most importantly, they came up with a thoughtful, realistic plan for my current dental issue that feels manageable instead of overwhelming. If you’re someone who’s nervous, scared, or has had bad past experiences with dental work, this is absolutely the place to go. Professional, kind, and truly outstanding care. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have had some mixed experiences in the past with dentists. I also struggled with creating a regular flossing habit. When I moved from another office to Victoria Downtown Dental, after a bad experience, I was lucky enough to have been scheduled for a cleaning with Krissy. She is a master of her craft. I really feel her care and attention, this in turn inspired me to be more attentive to my own dental care, and I now floss every day. I look forward to my cleanings! It’s been almost a decade now and can't recommend her enough.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been continuously impressed with Downtown Dental. Everyone is very professional, but still very light-hearted and joyful. Their demeanour shows that they are treated well at their workplace. I appreciate that a very great deal. The workday is long enough without having friction, so to see that everyone is happy and treated well at work means as much to me as the services performed. The dental work was excellent as well and prices were fair.

Fantastic experience: Good day, My wife and I both had our appointments on December 10; I write this quick review because we were both very impressed with the clinic and its employees. First off, the reception area is comfortable, clean and relaxing. The staff in the office were friendly. The appointment was as scheduled ( no extra waiting). The dentists and assistants were also friendly and a compliment to their professions. Further, we were given a welcome gift bag which was very impressive. They were able to get me in earlier than expected too. -Krissy was gentle and thorough as my hygienist. Very personable as well. Thanks Krissy! -I saw Dr. Picard for the dental exam itself. My teeth were in good condition so it was brief but he was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall great experience. (I promise to floss more!)

Fantastic experience: I am always impressed with how the staff show such kindness and real empathy! I love the lip balm jar on the receptionist counter and have to say it's the best I have ever used! The peppermint flavor rocks...I am not an easy client to deal with.. a serious fall this year and they do everything possible to make me comfortable while doing dental work...I can only hope they open an office in the Westshore area so the travel time getting to an appointment isn't so stressful! Kudos to your whole office team.. you are all wonderful! ..

Fantastic experience: Mr. Picard had always been straight to the point, effective and quick at what he does. In the past procedures, I've told him of my needle phobia and he hides it very well, he's got a trick that makes you focus elsewhere and I would strongly suggest his services to anyone and everyone. Mr.Picard has changed my view of dental work, as I don't get anxious anymore about going to the dentist. 15/10 stars

Dr. Picard is friendly and clearly loves his practice. I didn't catch my hygenist's name, but I heard she was new and I give her a 10/10! She was very sweet, insured I was comfortable, and she's so thorough. She went out of her way to explain things and pass along helpful info about gum and cheek health which was super appreciated. See you guys in 6 months!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Downtown Dental Victoria for 7 years. The staff, dentists and hygienist are friendly and efficient. The first dentist I went to, Dr. Grant Woo, sadly had to leave the practice for medical reasons and the transition to Dr. Picard was flawless. Always willing to discuss procedures and options and never arrogant or condescending. In other words their chairside manner is excellent.
