Fantastic experience: Very accommodating and always kind. I've had a lot of bad experiences with dentists ever since I was younger which caused me to not go to one for many years. After coming here, I've not once been ridiculed for the state of my teeth, nor talked down to like in prior dentist offices. My teeth are still damaged from grinding and clenching over the years and I will never forgive myself for letting them get to this point. But I'm glad I have a dentist that I can actually work with to help stop them from getting worse and fixed without judgement.

Fantastic experience: Very calm, professional environment. The whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable. As a client I was always well taken care of; every step of a procedure was explained, and the scheduled procedures were confirmed on arrival. Post-op instructions were well explained, and I was sent home with everything needed. An overall excellent experience every time.

Negative experience: I had a tooth issue and I called upon Cataraqui Woods Dentistry on Midland for an appointment. MAJOR MISTAKE, that would cost me the loss of a upper front tooth and thousand of dollars of expenses. Dr. Khan, the owner, was terrible in every way possible, unprofessional, rude, with little to no regards for the well being of his patients. The Staff was equally arrogant (including the office manager) some of the dentists as well. The whole business was shoddy. I spent $15,000 over two years, much of the money was to correct their mistakes. Fed up I finally approached Dr. Khan about the serious issues. Instead of trying to help, he took an aggressive approach and blamed me for the issues. Ridiculous! He then said he had no time for discussion with me, he was busy pulling teeth and installing implants. The office manager was useless and could do nothing without approval from Khan. . As a final resort I wrote Dr. Khan a letter outlining everything and hoping he would correct the wrongs. No way! he just rebuffed it all. Basically saying to go elsewhere. I could not believe that anyone could run a businesses with such disdain and callous disregard for its clients. Reflecting back when I first visited the office I saw the huge window banner that read "WELCOMING NEW PATIENTS" Now i know why they have the sign. Their client turn over must be so high that they must continually find replacement clients to feed their business! Please for your own sake Beware of this dental office.

The office is quite large and it’s a very reasonable timeline to get in for appointments. They also offer direct billing to some insurance providers, which is very easy and convenient on clients.

My kids actually look forward to their visits because the staff is incredibly kind and makes them feel completely comfortable every time. The office itself is so fun...the different themed rooms are a huge hit with my kids and help make the whole visit enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment on october the seventeenth at eight.A m. My dental hygienist was Halia..... very last treatment room on the far end of the building. She was nothing short of wonderful, efficient, well educated and above all proactive with her explanation for future treatments. I was scheduled for a full cleaning.She did a lovely job and was very gentle. My teeth sparkled white when I left. However, I have one wisdom tooth left, which I have been very anxious about an extraction! Halia was very clear with how healthy my teeth are.... however if this wisdom tooth were to remain, eventually it would cause decay to the tooth directly beside it due to lack of accessibility. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate her time her care and her education. My next appointment is scheduled with this caring professional.

Negative experience: I left this practice to follow a dentist to another clinic. I then had third-party collections calling me, saying I have an outstanding bill from Jan 2023, it's Sept 2025, for $651. I checked all my invoices through Manulife, and EVERYTHING was paid. They admit to their ERROR!! Now my credit score is compromised and still have not received a letter from their manager on their screw up. DO NOT GO THERE

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here for 9 years and have always had positive experiences. All staff are skilled, kind and professional. I have had two situations where I needed to be seen quickly and had no issues being taken care of. They are phenomenal dealing with my son as well.

Negative experience: My last teeth cleaning experience didn’t go too well, below are some comments: 1.15-20 min of cleaning for $69 (remaining $73 was covered by CDCP) seems a bit excessive. 2. Since I commute from a different city I lost half a day for that 15-20 min session and Dentist was not even available. 3. Front desk person would benefit from interpersonal customer service training 4. After 4 months of waiting to repair lost filling, there is still no answers regarding a solution.

All of their staff are very professional and friendly. All visits have been great and I intend on going there in the future.

Fantastic experience: The best dental clinic you’ll find in kingston. Clean, professional, and does direct billing too!! As well as Dr.Khan does an amazing job while cracking some great jokes in the meantime. Only place I’d recommend going to even if you’re outside the city, it’s worth the drive.

Thankfully, my sister quickly booked me an urgent care appointment at Cataraqui Woods Dentistry the very next day. From the start, the process felt easy. They sent me the intake forms online, which were clear and simple to complete, so everything was ready when I arrived. The team at the clinic was warm, empathetic, and genuinely reassuring—something I especially appreciated given my nerves about dental work. They took extra care to make sure the local anesthetic was virtually painless, and within an hour, I had a temporary filling in place. To make things even smoother, they emailed me the photos and X-rays for my regular dentist in Ottawa and handled my insurance billing directly, no headaches required. As a final touch, the themed décor in the treatment rooms created a welcoming, friendly atmosphere—an unexpected but delightful detail in the middle of an urgent dental visit.

Fantastic experience: As I am a frequent flyer at Cataraqui woods Dentistry, I had the pleasure of seeing Mahalia, who is absolutely wonderful. She combines professionalism with a genuinely warm and caring personality. Mahalia is attentive, gentle and very thorough. The clinic is so fortunate to have her, she's a gem!

Negative experience: Went in for a toothache. They did a filling and said it was fixed. That dentist went on holidays. The tooth started to ache so I went back in for help from another dentist. They billed me for a restoration but whatever they did caused more pain and they refused to give me a prescription for antibiotics or pain killers. I ended up having to go for emergency surgery at Lighthouse Dental. They examined me and did an actual tooth restoration. Apparently the tooth was broken during the initial treatment at Cataraqui Woods Dentistry. I recommend you go over to Lighthouse Dental. They have qualified, trained dentists and they care about their patients. I DO NOT recommend Cataraqui Woods Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: The cleaning and exam was okay. A little rough, but since I don’t take very good care of my teeth, I probably deserved it. The cost however was frustrating. I have 100% on the CDCP and still had to pay $38.15 in additional fees. And for the proposed fillings at my next appointment, it is projected to be over $200 in additional fees.

The staff worked with me to reduce the cost and get me fixed up. The staff have always been courteous, professional, and friendly. They even worked with my husband who has TMJ to make his visit as comfortable as possible. I have always had a good experience with Cataraqui Dental Centre and would recommend them.
