Negative experience: I have been looking for a new dentist in the Kingston area as my current one no longer does direct insurance billing. This was a big seller as it's just more convenient for me. I have had a previous horrible experience and as a result have a lot of dental anxiety. I called the office to ask some general questions to relieve some of the anxiety. I felt like I was asking the usual....Accepting new patients? Direct billing? How to have previous dental records transferred? How many dentists in the office? The male that answered the phone was short, uninviting and flat out said "I don't have to tell you that" to my last question. Shocked at his response I explained I was only asking to know when/how often dentists in the office. He then back tracked to say they were open 7 days a week. Because of the anxiety I feel better with 1 dentist ongoing and not a different one each time I visit but also didn't get the chance to say that. If this is how they make patients feel welcome over the phone I can just imagine in person. They have just lost 5 new patients and I will definitely not be recommending anyone else there either. Horrible customer service and patient relations

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a flexible dental office, consider Light House - they can accommodate any issue and their hours are amazing. Direct billing to insurance companies makes a huge difference. Hygienist, Dinkal, is high recommended - very professional, outstanding cleaning, gave great advice and was gentle so that my gums never hurt.

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist to the point of having anxiety. Dr Lowe is amazing. He is super attentive and reassuring. I had restorations on a couple teeth and it was so quick and didn't even feel the poke of the needle while he dis the freezing. Legit the best dentist I've ever had.

She got me in that day to be seen and everyone was so accommodating. The Dentist I saw was knowledgeable and kind and took his time to explain everything and show me what was wrong. Fantastic experience: The hygienists are so kind and caring. As someone with intense anxiety around the dentist, especially as someone who couldn't afford the dentist in so long, they are so nice. Talking to reception for estimates before making an appointment is easy and relatively fast. It may take a bit to get an appointment, but they respond fast as well and are amazing at what they do.

Negative experience: I am increasingly frustrated with the constant upselling at this dental office. At nearly every visit, additional services are suggested, which feels unnecessary. More concerning are the billing practices. Despite clearly stating that I would not pay anything beyond what my insurance covers, the office attempted to submit an extra consultation fee that was not covered. When it was declined, I was told I would not have to pay it, but it was still submitted “just in case.” This approach undermines trust and transparency.

Negative experience: I visited this dental clinic approximately one year ago for a tooth extraction. They refused to proceed until I provided a doctor’s note indicating my health. Despite being fully covered under my dental benefit, they still denied my request. I do not have a family doctor and was unable to visit the walk-in clinic, which would have required a lengthy wait and payment. Furthermore, I was concerned that the clinic may not accept the doctor’s note. I found the staff to be unfriendly and unprofessional. Nevertheless, I eventually found another dentist who was much more accommodating and considerate.

Fantastic experience: mariah was awesome, super helpful and kind at the front desk! Cassie was a great and warm hygienist as well. Great atmosphere and wonderful dentists.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had as far as dental experience and planning goes. I have had horrific experiences in the past that has left me to leave my teeth to essentially rot. I found this amazing place via google when I was looking for emergency help because I just couldn’t take it anymore. I instantly loved their name and called and was met by a very friendly voice who was very sweet, empathetic and got me in right away. While there, my anxiety started getting the best of me but the dentist that saw me was absolutely incredible, patient, understanding and very knowledgeable. As was the hygienist. I had X-rays done and they made sure I was okay and asked if I needed water or breaks consistently when they saw how anxious I was getting. The dentist made a very good plan that is essentially going to save what teeth I have left and make it so that I can actually eat again as I have practically no chewing teeth at this point. They didn’t make me feel pathetic or gross for how my teeth had become, they were very gentle and took the time I needed through the exam part and left me feeling hopeful for the very first time. I have never walked out of a dentistry place feeling good until today. I absolutely recommend this place and the people who work inside of it honestly need a raise and more recognition for what they do. To the receptionist , to the hygienist, to the dentist I saw today - THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. They actually made me feel human and seen and I look forward to working with them more in the future and having them be the reason I can smile proudly again!

Fantastic experience: I came from another dental clinic and am so glad I did. Lighthouse staff are always so friendly and compassionate. They do fantastic work, never rough or rushed. They are great with my kids and especially good with anxious clients like myself. They keep me well informed and explain the dental lingo as they go. The office is clean and comfortable. The kids look forward to picking toys from the treasure chest each time and whoever fills the chest has great taste. Kid approved stuff, always! I can’t recommend this place enough. So glad to have switched over to lighthouse. Great people, great environment, great care. 10/10.

Fantastic experience: I wrote a review of Lighthouse Dental in Cobourg...life savers when I needed an emergency root canal at the beginning of covid. Now that I live in Kingston, and saw there was an office here, of course that's where I would go! And I have found it friendly, efficient, EXCELLENT DIRECT BILLING, and very kind. Also, I was very delighted that they didn't find anything wrong with my teeth as often when I get a new dentist there is always something they want to tackle, but not this time. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I called Lighthouse Dental Saturday morning with what I thought might be a dental infection. Mariah answered the phone before the posted opening time and was thorough, knowledgeable, and re-assurring. She provided excellent information regarding antibiotics and stressed I should touch base with our pharmacist. I spoke to the pharmacist and later picked up a prescription for antibiotics, which I must take with each dental visit because of past heart surgery. Mariah also booked an afternoon appointment for me to see the dentist. In the interim the swelling went down and our family dental office returned my call and I have an appointment on Monday. During all this I spoke to Mariah 3 times. She could not have been more helpful, professional or understanding. My wife and I have been with the same dentist (retired), and now his son, for 47 years and if we ever find a need to change we would choose Lighthouse Dental. Thank you Mariah. David Herrington

Fantastic experience: I was a new patient experiencing awful pain (turned out to be a wisdom tooth) they got me in for an X-ray and removed the tooth same day. Very easy process with insurance, all stuff was lovely, very welcoming place! Would highly recommend this dentist office!!

Negative experience: I’ve been here before with no issues, but my last visit was a complete joke. I left the appointment in worse pain than I came in with, and nobody bothered to check if the procedure was covered. No warning, no estimate nothing. Then at the end, they dropped a 1,200 bill in my lap like it was nothing After draining my benefits to 0 When I asked about it, the balding guy at the front desk didn’t just brush me off he actually laughed in my face and said, “Well that’s not good for you.” Imagine dealing with pain, stress, and then getting mocked by the person who’s supposed to help you. Easily the most unprofessional interaction I’ve ever had in a medical office. A simple coverage check or basic communication would’ve prevented all of this, but instead I was left blindsided, hurting, and disrespected. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone it’s jokes

Negative experience: Went here for a consultation for a dental bridge and the dentist that does them doesn’t work at this office full time. They offer the service on their website and have the qualified dentist come in once a month. Felt misled and out money for a consultation with a dentist that doesn’t do what we came in for.

Fantastic experience: A dentist visit can be filled with so much anxiety, however EVERYONE is have met at lighthouse dental have been so patient, friendly and prayers with both my daughter and I. Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely the best. Staff at the front desk are great friendly people. The dentist is extremely thorough. Which is what u want. And hygienist that cleaned my teeth she was amazing. Happen to be her first day covering for someone at that location. She was amazing. Actually brought me to tears as my previous dentist never worked like she did to remove tarter I had built up that cause for marks on my teeth. I hated to smile for tears and it took her 1 appointment and it was gone. U want great quality and people who make sure ur looked after go see Lighthouse dental.

My hygienist, Veronica, was so nice and very gentle but thorough during the cleaning. The doctor was great to deal with as well. Payment with insurance/benefits was extremely easy. Very happy with my overall experience and I will definitely be going back regularly.

Positive experience: Ultimately the care recieved was fantastic. However, there is serious issue when it comes to bookings and appointments. Ive had 4 scheduled appointments and all of them have come with calls prior to. Either canceling, rescheduling or telling me a months time was simply not enought time to book the nitrous needed for my appointment... Never ending issues. To the point that this WAS my 4th appointment and it was joked about what problems they'd run in to now but it really isnt even funny anymore. This issue was enough for me to tell them Im not playing their games anymore. Gotta get it together guys. The only thing going for you is kindness. But that'll only go so far when you wind up becoming a nuisance.

Negative experience: I din't like this place. For only see the teeth and say you have a problem you have to pay almost $150 without solving any problem. The same way I enter, the same I left, but with loosing money without solving anything. I will not come back here anymore. Solving emergency issue is a good way to make money easily.

Negative experience: My husband needed emergency extraction. His dentist of 50 years dumped him as he cancelled two appointments within the allotted 48 time frame of Covid. I/we tried this dental service. He's 83. He was a new patient. They handed him a tablet to enter info and when he couldn't do that 5 pages to fill in on paper. He forgot our insurance so they charged him full price (that's on him and me...I should have triple checked). By the the time he got into the dentist he was really upset/agitated. We paid $300 for x-rays and he's still in pain. He won't be returning. Tooth was not removed.

Fantastic experience: Ok, so this was my original review after my first time there: "I could not praise them enough. Dr. Gabriel, his assistant, Donna, and Partap at the front desk — everyone was amazing. So compassionate, understanding, and caring. To truly see it from my point of view, you'd have to be in my shoes — and that's a long, sad story. Just know that they will treat you well, no matter who you are. These are wonderful, wonderful people. Now that I’ve been there numerous times, I wanted to update my review. I even switched my kids over to this clinic. I won’t go anywhere else unless they close down. It’s extremely rare to find people who are so real. They knew me by name after my very first visit — that meant a lot. They’re incredibly friendly, but also discreet and respectful when it comes to your personal situation. You can be honest with them, and they’ll meet you with understanding and real solutions. Even if you can’t afford what you need, they will never treat you as any less. They know. They’re real. They’ll figure out a way to make it work. Donna, Lorelee, and all the other ladies at the front desk are absolutely amazing human beings. They direct bill, coordinate, and call around relentlessly until they find a solution that fits your budget. They love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. The clinic is always pristine and inviting. There’s plenty of parking, and a bus stop right outside. It’s close to an indoor play place and a Popeyes — perfect for bribing reluctant kids! Their hours are everything a working person could dream of. They’re open weekends and evenings until 8. You don’t need to explain your dental needs to your boss — you can go right after work and be seen. It’s amazing.

Negative experience: Awful service …. I have given a couple of chances now however it’s been nothing but problems since our initial appointments. Numerous cancellations and rescheduled appointments… a call 10 minutes before (as I am pulling into the parking lot for my appointment) to tell me they are 45 minutes behind and I can wait or re schedule … constant problems billing our insurance companies, always doing extra things without sharing the costs with you. Attempting to do xrays even though our old dentist office sent our files that clearly showed we just recently had them done Do not recommend this office, they have yet to figure out what they are doing

I have my regular hygienist Veronica who makes my visits stress free and my teeth and gum are happier for it. I saw Dr Jeko for my exam and he told me I was doing a great job as well. Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Lighthouse Dental for giving me some hope to hang on to after years of not having much at all. Ive been told by a few different dentists offices that it would cost over 10000 dollars for me to be able to smile confidently again. I had pretty much given up hope when i was scrolling facebook and saw an ad for Lighthouse Dental.....so i decided to try one last time. I went and was extremely surprised to find out that they are able to help me without it costing me a fortune!!!! Donna is one of the receptionists and is absolutly fantastic! She is so welcoming, non judgemental, walked me threw the insurance portion, explaning it all and answering all my questions....making my experience incredible!!! I had my new patient appt and they were so wonderful with me...very direct, explained everything and so efficient!!! Im all set up to see the denturist...and I cant wait!!! Fantastic experience: Once again, I contacted Lighthouse Dental today for an emergency - I had quickly developed throbbing pain in a lower molar. Thanks to the magic of Mariah and Lorelee, I was able to see Dr. Gabriel within a few hours. He assessed the problem and proposed plans for treatment, as well as medications for infection and pain. Following my first emergency experience with Lighthouse, I decided to make them my regular dental clinic. It's so wonderful to see that the same level of care is given to ALL patients, regardless of the circumstances that brought them to Lighthouse. Thank you for your incredible care and kindness! I contacted Lighthouse Dental today for a painful dental emergency. My regular dentist was not able to accommodate me. Donna was very kind and helpful; she understood the pain I was experiencing and assured me that she would do her best to get me in. Not only did I get an appointment the same day, but within the hour! Dr. Jeko's analysis was clear and comprehensive. I will have a follow-up procedure with him later this week. Because of the exemplary professional and personable service of the entire team, I intend to become a full-time client of this clinic. Sincere thanks!

Fantastic experience: Please bear with me it’s a longer one, but I promise you this is well worth the read. I had one dentist my entire childhood and teenage life. Then I switched to lighthouse. I realized that the dentist doesn’t have to be a terrible experience. From the moment I switched to getting a root canal today, they have felt nothing short of family. I have really bad anxiety going to the dentist due to some things that have happened as I’m sure a lot of people do. I sat in the chair and I started shaking and crying. Donna came and sat with me and talked me through it. She calmed me right down. I have never felt more seen or heard at an establishment before today. So Donna, thank you so so much. Dr. Jeko and Nikki are incredible. Nikki is so personable whilst still remaining professional. She is kind, and funny, and doesn’t make me feel like I’m crazy. She always makes me feel very comfortable. Dr. Jeko knows what he’s doing. He is very smart, and doesn’t take a lot of time to complete procedures (which I really love). I am forever grateful I switched to lighthouse. I know with time, my dentist anxiety will get better. I could not recommend anyone more.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth that needed to come out. Dr Jeko and his staff were amazing !! I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dentists (hense why the tooth had to come out ) from the front desk right to Dr Jeko they all made me feel welcomed and calm. Fantastic experience: Dr. Lowe was amazing to have my tooth pulled. I have chemo mouth, and it makes things very difficult, but he was a champ, and I didn't feel anything besides the first freeze. I recommend going here, as they direct Bill to insurance, this venture today cost me nothing but my time. Find was great, and very upbeat and even joking a little with me after. Great place! Will continue to go here!!

Fantastic experience: The staff is super friendly. The dentist was kind and did a fantastic job. The fact that they are open 7 days a week is very reassuring, if you have a dental emergency. Dental procedures are never any fun, but my dentist and the staff made it as pleasant as possible. I definitely recommend Lighthouse Dentistry ! They are wonderful!

Fantastic experience: Veronica was very professional and empathetic. I really appreciated the kindness as I’m a bit nervous of going to the dentist. Donna was amazing when I was paying, she explained the costs and what my benefits cover in depth so there were no surprises. (I have only had amazing experiences with everyone at the front desk too!) I’ve also had Jessica as a hygienist, and she is lovely as well. All in all I love the hours and availability. I’ve never had a bad experience here and everyone has been wonderful.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience during my recent teeth cleaning appointment at the dentist. From the moment I arrived, the staff was kind and welcoming. The office was clean and calming, and I didn’t have to wait long before being brought in. The dental hygienist was friendly and explained everything clearly before starting the cleaning. She was gentle and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Unlike some past cleanings I’ve had, this one didn’t hurt at all, and she even checked in with me a few times to see how I was doing. After the cleaning, the dentist came in for a quick check-up. He was professional, respectful, and easy to talk to. He explained what he saw in simple terms and gave me helpful advice on how to keep my teeth and gums healthy. I appreciated that he didn’t try to pressure me into anything or make me feel bad about my teeth. The whole visit felt calm, efficient, and stress-free. My teeth felt super clean afterward, and I had no pain or discomfort later on. Overall, it was one of the best dental visits I’ve had, and I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a positive and smooth experience.

Fantastic experience: When my wisdom tooth suddenly got infected, I walked in and got an appointment in 2 hours for extraction. Dr Jeko was very knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, provided options, and followed up after free of charge. Unfortunately from this infection I had to remove the molar next to it and get an implant…this experience was excellent too. They brought in a highly skilled team from out of town, including Dr. Hammad, that spent time talking with me over the phone about the procedure a few days before, offered nursing staff O2 and Heart Rate monitoring if I wanted/needed an IV sedative, and were overall very kind and friendly, creating a more relaxed atmosphere for such an invasive procedure (that I’ve never had before, but could definitely handle again with these folks!). I can’t thank Donna enough for helping with the organization of this implant surgery and financial guidance. Jessica and Natalie, who assisted throughout, were great. And the front desk staff at Lighthouse are always so helpful and supportive! I really can’t say enough positive things about this place, personally, and would recommend them in a heartbeat for all of your dental care needs.

Negative experience: The front desk staff often fails to check whether a procedure is fully covered by insurance. Unlike my previous dentist, who made sure everything was verified in advance, this office tends to leave you with unexpected out-of-pocket costs. I have had a few procedures done here, and each time I was surprised at the counter to know that some services were not covered at all. I never recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient for over a year. I had a lot of issues to correct and they have been fantastic taking care of my teeth. These folks are awesome! Knowledgeable, professional and engaging. Low wait times and reminder texts are another bonus. I have recommended them numerous times to family and friends. They were just as impressed as I was.
