Negative experience: Booked an appointment no problem. The day before the appointment they cancelled on me as they claimed they weren't sure I would come. What the hell kind of business is this?!? So childish & unprofessional! 0/5 stars. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: She is an excellent job and patience with me because of my first language is sign language and we use "Live Transcript" to translate from speak into word on phone. Very gentle on my teeth. She is great.

Fantastic experience: Last night, I broke a tooth, And a huge sliver of Tooth was in the gum, causing a lot of discomfort. I called around to 5+ different dentists and was unable to get an emergency appointment…. Then I called Gladstone dental center. I spoke with Christina on the phone. She was absolutely wonderful, Calm, patient and reassuring she asked the Dentist on duty, Dentist Mo Atwi … If he could see me… Not only did he see me, and I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in the door. I have never been a patient of this location, but I was blown away by its customer service. Dr.Atwi Was just as calm and reassuring as Christina, he explained everything perfectly. He reassured me that my tooth could be salvaged, and he would do everything to prep it for my dentist to be able to repair it and ensure that I wouldn’t lose the tooth! He was gentle, knowledgeable, calm, and reassuring, and incredible experience. (also, I did not get the dentist techs name, but she was very sweet too) Bravo to this incredible team! And thank you, thank you for answering my phone call ❤️

Fantastic experience: I'm a regular patient of theirs. They're always super nice and professional, but I felt exta thankful on my latest visit. I recently had a filling replacement procedure, and was terrified from the anesthesia (due to past experience). Long story short, the staff really knows how to calm you down when you're stressed. The visit was quick and with minimum pain. They make you feel like you're in good hands.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough positive things about Gladstone. They are extremely accommodating, they were able to get me in twice with no notice, once the next day, the other time only 4 hours after I called I was in the chair. Dr Ali was professional, straight forward, meticulous and accommodating to the utmost degree. Throughout I was treated with care and consideration by all staff members. Highly, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a wisdom tooth removal , the whole staff from front end to dentists were great and super friendly . I don't recommend losing teeth but if you're gonna I recommend doing it here

Negative experience: While I have attended this clinic for some time, I chose to follow a dentist to another clinic. Had a scheduled appointment and it was canceled because I chose to leave The staff never informed me, wasted my time and were completely incompetent. So glad that I am leaving this clinic. Looks like they have changed the office appearance yet they have a lot more to do to increase the level of competence and maturity of their staff.

Positive experience: The dentist was great. Very personable and attentive. The office, however, looks a bit scuffed, paint chipped in places, everything has that slightly worn sheen to it. Also, when I went in April for my first appointment, they said they didn't have any cleaning appointments until September

Fantastic experience: I've had 3 appointments here since January and all have been fantastic. I have never felt so relaxed during a cavity filling in my life. Dr. Atwi and the dental assistant are phenomenal, as are the people at the front desk.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here many times in the past couple of years for Invisalign treatment. Everyone I have interacted with have been so kind and welcoming. This includes the dentists, assistance, hygienists, and the front desk staff. I had terrible dental anxiety before coming here, but they really put me at ease. My Invisalign treatment is finished, so I'll be seeing them a lot less, and I think I'm kind of going to miss them all lol.

Negative experience: Reception and the nurse were excellent Came in for severe toothache, couldn't get an extraction for a few days due to new years, which was fine, however my pain levels weren't taken seriously, the dentist didn't want to listen to what i was saying. And after an incredibly rude phone call courtesy of the dentist, my appointment was canceled and will never return to this location

Fantastic experience: It’s a perfect place to get treated when it comes to dental treatment. The staff is super nice, especially the ones who work at the front desk, Christina, who’s the manager is very cooperative and kind. Dr Reno and his assistant Eli treats patients with a lot of care (because i am an anxious patient) and all others are very welcoming. It was my first experience with dentists in Canada, will try to stick by them. Kudos!

Positive experience: Gladstone Dental is a very professional place to have dental work done, and everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and attentive, having said that, it IS a business like any other where the goal certainly is sales and add-ons. That’s ok, every dental office is this way….just bear that in mind and use your own judgment. They will always push you to come more frequently and have extra treatments or X-rays to increase profits. Certainly, if you are able, extra dental care is better than not enough.

Fantastic experience: I cracked my tooth and couldn’t get in to see my dentist at another location so I contacted Gladstone and they got me in immediately. They were very fast, efficient, professional and very friendly. Loved my first visit so much so I’m switching dentists.

Negative experience: My tooth was hurting so much, so I made an appointment at this clinic. Dr. Mo Atwi was very helpful and good to me, he answered all my questions, he checked my teeth and said that my tooth, which I had previously had root canal treatment, was painful. So he said that he will refer me to the endodontist and endodontist will look at this tooth again and tell me what to do. He prescribed me medication and I paid 125 dollars for this consultation. After that with this pain I waited 3 month for the appointment with this endodontist!!! I called several times and said that I cannot wait 3 month and I have too much pain but they don’t care. Few days ago I finally went to the endodontist Dr. Michele and my appointment was just 5 minutes, she said that I don’t have pain at the teeth which I already had rooth canal (but I feel pain in this teeth) she said that I have pain at another teeth, and she can do Roth canal but again after 3 month! I paid again 175 cad for this!!! So totally I paid 300 dollar for nothing!!! I really don’t understand why I paid twice just for 5 minute consultation!!! Now I am trying to find another clinic.

Fantastic experience: I called cos my head was banging cos my tooth I got an appointment the next day, I went there and the ladies in front was so nice and the lady that attended to me with the doctor was good…. I even had a follow up call after my procedure….. will recommend

Negative experience: My daughter went to this dentist clinic. She’s up all night in pain from wisdom teeth and possible infection. She paid $250 and left with nothing to help her. No prescription for antibiotics No prescription for any pain medication. Before going to the dentist she was suffering taking over the counter pain meds that do nothing, trying everything she could find for advice on the internet with home remedies. Nothing worked!! You would think a dentist could help you and care about their patients suffering. Instead he took x-rays and gave her mouthwash and sent her on her way.That was about a week ago and since then she's hasn’t found any form of relief from her pain. She’s not able to eat, it’s worse in the night and she can’t sleep. It’s heartbreaking to me to find out my daughter is in another province and being treated this way by a professional dentist. You are suppose to care about your patients suffering Dr. Mo. My daughter had great dentist here in Fredericton at the Gibson Dental clinic they don’t let their patients suffer. Toothaches won’t go away without a medication that has codeine. I have been through many dental procedures myself. When I was suffering my dentist gave me the right medicine. It was never an issue since that is what works. Your job is to help people with dental problems and help ease the stress and pain that comes with these problems. I’m posting this to help inform people that read reviews don’t waste your money. My daughter paid $250 for x-rays and mouthwash. She’s a hard working student that also has a job where she earned her own money to pay for this “service “ to get what out of it??? Nothing far as I’m concerned she should be reimbursed so she can go see a real dentist. When you are open I will call and you can tell me why my daughter is calling me upset because the dentist did nothing to help her and you took her money!

Fantastic experience: I consider myself incredibly anxious about dental anything. The sensitivity/pain, price, unknown of it all. I would say I’ve avoided “the dentist” for more of my 20s than I care to admit, pandemic didn’t help… But now, I actually enjoy going here. I’m so excited to start seeing a difference with my invisalign! Dr. Laura Shepherd and Katherine make a great and fun team that is a perfect blend of serious and silly to keep it lighthearted. Bonus: easy location to get to if I feel the need to take an ativan and can’t drive myself.

Fantastic experience: I recently chipped my front tooth. Dr Atwi and his assistant Esmeralda fixed it perfectly to the point where you couldn’t tell I had chipped it in the first place. They also made sure I was happy (which I was) with the results before I left. Great team!! Very professional and polite and gentle. I also sent my friends a video showing them my dental work and they commented on how happy I was. Great place. Would definitely recommend!!

Negative experience: At first I gave a 5 star review because they were friendly. I’m updating because I couldn’t make my appointment today because I had a death in the family this weekend and didn’t even think to call. They didn’t show any sympathy about my situation instead stated I should have left a voice mail. Sorry… but an appointment is the last thing on my mind in a situation like this. I’m sure you guys will be alright from one person cancelling. It seems like these people who work here will give you the fake friendliness only when you give them business. I won’t be back. Update: I decided to go back, give them another chance, but again, when you can’t make it the receptionist is always so rude. It’s like she don’t understand people have things going on in their lives. Yes, I have to work and can’t come in. She acted so surprised I had to work and seemed annoyed. Relax

Fantastic experience: I had a great dental experience with Dr. Mo Atwi and Ms. Esmeralda (Dental assistant) earlier this week. Dr. Atwi provided a very clear overview of the process prior to the tooth extraction. Ms Esmeralda was very calm and supportive in responding to all my questions. Both were very kind and professional in their approach. The front office staff were friendly and the clinic is located in a very convenient location. I felt very fortunate to have experienced the excellent services provided by Dr. Atwi and Ms Esmeralda. Thank you!

Negative experience: Doctors have started charging way above the dental nova scotia fee guide. This leads to a much higher out of pocket amount for the patients. Recently experienced a very high out of pocket amount for a basic permanent filling. My insurance covers 80% of the eligible fee guide amount but since the doctors charge above the fee guide, patients pay 20% insurance plus the cost doctors charge above fee guide. It was more than 40% i paid for each filling i did. Had never experienced this with my doctor before but the very high rates charged here will make me find another dentist after close to 10 years of going to the same dentist who works with gladstone now.

Fantastic experience: The most amazing dentistry in the city. I neglected appointments for years do to uncomfortable situation at other dentistry. I was a nervous wrack at first but everyone is so truly kind and friendly that within a couple session I was much more comfortable with it. My last session I didn't even need headphones anymore. Fantastic experience: I initially went to Gladstone for an emergency appointment, and now continue to go for cleanings. Everyone is professional and friendly, and appointments are always on time. They're also very understanding and non judgemental if you have some anxiety around visiting the dentist

Negative experience: Went in for cavity in my molars. The doctor filled them up without completely removing the decay, which elevated my pain to unprecedented levels. He wanted me to call if the pain persist but nobody picked the damn phone. What a waste of my time and money. I felt that the doctor sounded greedy and just wanted to make some extra bucks. The bottomline is, i went to them in hope that my pain would go down but never did i ever hope that a visit to the doctor would make things worse ‍♀️

Negative experience: My daughter moved to Halifax for her first job. She went to Gladstone Dental for a check up and cleaning. They proceeded to tell her that she needed two crowns and a filling. She is 22 and has had no cavities in the past and they want to put two crowns in her mouth!! After a second opinion with another dentist she was told that her teeth are perfectly fine. Beware!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: What a great experience. One of the most pleasant visits I have had, and definitely the most educational, through just casual conversation. My brushing routine, flossing routine, and approach to choosing an electric brush all changed in one visit due to some cool and interesting facts. Also, my exam, cleaning, polishing and flouride treatment were top notch.

Negative experience: Very unhappy and shocked at the level of treatment today after switching insurance companies I wanted to know a rough idea how much my remainder would be at the end of my visit as the world is getting more expensive some family’s need to follow a strict budget. I didn’t want a surprise bill at the end I wanted to know the cost of my service which was a cleaning and after insurance what my remainder of the bill would roughly be. Instead I was accused of fraud by the front desk in a wait room full of people and In front of my daughter. Also confusing because I remember asking at other visits how much do you think this will be at the end and getting a rough idea what to budget for I really don’t know why it was such a problem today. I’ve been going to this office since roughly 2016/2017 and always was spoke to kindly never have I ever dealt with this level of treatment before from this office or anywhere for that matter however the staff has changed over the years quite a bit and the fact this happened today is extremely disappointing and not ok.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been cared for by Dr. Ngan for years and years. It's always a good feeling to know we're in good hands. He has a mad level of patience, an incredible bedside manner, and never misses an opportunity to crack a joke. Dr. Ngan and his staff are unmatched!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental clinic. I'm a new patient (moved around a lot). So far, have had a full examination and then a cleaning on the 2nd visit. The hygienists are informative and professional, while treating you like an individual and not just another client. Had an exceptionally good time during my cleaning because my hygienist was friendly and had a good sense of humour. We were cracking jokes and that helped with my general dislike of going to "the dentist" from an early age with a lot of problems. I also don't have insurance, which just adds to that stress. I have more visits scheduled with most likely other hygienists (they appear to have a lot), but highly recommended so far.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Kaiser and he was amazing! I let him know about my dental anxiety and let me know exactly what he was doing every step of the way, putting me fully at ease. I've never had such a pleasant dental experience in my life!

Negative experience: I had to use the suction tool myself for my cleaning. I thought this was strange and it made me uncomfortable. They didn't submit a predetermination correctly for invisalign causing delays. Additionally, a receptionist I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude and when I asked her why she was speaking to me in that way she put someone else on the phone instead. The second person was apologetic and professional, but it couldn't make up for the poor service and professionalism elsewhere

Fantastic experience: Hello: I recently had my teeth cleaned by Cora, Dental Hygienist, and I am pleased to say that I've never had a more thorough cleaning. She removed some weird staining that had my teeth looking brown on the inside and in the spaces between my teeth! I couldn't believe how hard she worked to remove it all and now my teeth are white on the inside and out again. She has a lovely personality, super easy to get along with, made me feel very comfortable and her skill and abilities made me feel confident I was in good hands. It was my first visit with Cora and I am booked for my next cleaning with her too. Cora is AWESOME! You will not be disappointed! I also want to give a Shout Out to Samantha, Receptionist - she is a ROCKSTAR! Very thorough, extremely pleasant, made me feel welcome and very comfortable, she quickly put through my claim, provided me with a receipt and had my next booked appointment noted at the botttom. Thank you very much Samantha you have SUPER Customer Service skills, which is hard to come by at many businesses these days.

Fantastic experience: I was having discomfort from a cavity in a back wisdom tooth. I called my regular dentist clinic,herring cove dentistry,but the fastest they could see me was in about a week. So I looked up emergency dentists in halifax on google and found gladstone dentistry, sent them a text and in less then 24 hrs had the tooth removed. This was on a Friday I might add when most others weren't even open. I was happy to have it done so fast ! Dr Kaiser and his staff are very good at what they do and I highly recommend them.!

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with my first visit to see Dr. KEIZER. The dental assistant who was with me, Bailey is a sweet heart and makes you feel very comfortable from the moment you sit in the chair. I would highly recommend this dental center!!!

Fantastic experience: Always excellent service, they are very upfront about costs and will give you the truth on your situation. They are very serious and passionate but do understand we are all human and can't always be perfect. Cleanings are relaxing, and Dr.Mo has the steadiest hands for numbing and sculpting near perfect fillings. They have always ensured everything felt right before I'd leave and are always kind.

It was a lovely experience, the staff was kind and friendly, the atmosphere was clean and calming and my anxiety was well controlled,not to mention the affordable price and actual availability unlike most places. Fantastic experience: I had an emergency and needed to see my Dentist immediately. I called the office and they made sure I got in to see Dr. Kaiser right away! He is the best dentist in Halifax! Fantastic experience: I am so glad that I have made a emergency dental appointment with Gladstone Dental Centre. This was the first visit, there would have to be many more, due to neglecting my oral higene. Dr. Kaiser was amazing, he really wants to help his patients. I had confidence in him from my first visit, like I said there would be many more, each visit I would see and feel a real difference in my oral higene. Dr Kaiser Thank you for caring about me and I can not forget about your great Dental Assistant Tatiana, she has been great. I have to have more visits but I am sure that I will be very happy at the end because Dr. Kaiser does know what he is doing and explains why and how. I will tell all of my friends . Fantastic experience: Dr. Shepherd and her assistant are a pleasure to be around. They work seamlessly together! Dr. Shepherd has a gentle touch and works quickly and efficiently. The clinic is always clean and staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I have never loved going to the dentist…however I did not want to leave Gladstone. From the moment I walked in all of the staff were so kind, welcoming and made great conversation. They got everything done in a timely manner and made it as enjoyable as possible! Will defiantly not be dreading the dentist anymore!

Positive experience: Kind dentist and hygenist. Really attentive and I didn't feel like they were rushing. Explained everything that was going on during my appointment. It would have been helpful if you could give a sense of financing options at the appointment or openness to handling expensive procedures on a longer timeline...I was a bit anxious about paying for upcoming fillings but felt a bit pressured to make an appointment quickly.
