Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at Atlantic Dental. The entire team is very professional, thoughtful, and extremely helpful. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. I especially want to recognize Laura at the front desk. She was absolutely amazing. She was so kind, patient, and went out of her way to help me. Honestly, I don’t even have the words to fully describe how helpful she was — she really made my experience so much better. Positive experience: It doesn’t normally happen but I waited 20 minutes for my 12 noon appointment. It was my first cleaning with Christina & she was great…friendly & very proficient & professional. I like to have the same hygienist from visit to visit so I’ve made my next appointment in August with Christina & indicated the same @ the time that I was making it.

Fantastic experience: I called in the morning the dental office to see if a filling that detached from my front tooth during the long weekend could be fixed this week. I got an appointment in the afternoon. The tooth was fixed very quickly and it fits well on bite. Both the dentist and the associate were friendly but professional and confident. Also, the payment via my insurance went smoothly. A great example of a well functioning healthcare!

Fantastic experience: Broke a tooth on Thursday and they arranged an appt for Friday. They completely repaired the tooth in the one appt. Very professional and personable. I actually enjoyed the appt and the people.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Atlantic dental since 1991.. Dr. Carr has been fabulous from day one.., The hygienist have all been great.. I’m wracking my brain as to the name of the hygienist who just did my Cleaning last evening, (which is a great thing to be able to come after work so no change in work schedule as well) the hygienist did a terrific job as usual. Great dental office!!!

Fantastic experience: Seeing the Dentist or Dental Hygienist can be scary for some people. Not with this one. Dr. Van der Baaren and the Dental Hygienist take care of your teeth well, adding to that, my appointments are always a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Got my teeth cleaned and it was pretty good. She mentioned to get a toothpick cleaner for my gums that spray water it's supposed to help me out more so I'm in the process of doing just that.

She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and explained everything clearly, which I really appreciated. The procedure went smoothly and recovery was easier than expected. Fantastic experience: Atlantic Dental clinic is first rate service. I had an issue with my receding gums. I didn’t like to smile because you couldn’t see my teeth. I wore dentures for a long time. It took away my confidence in myself. I met with Dr. Mallaisy, he understood exactly what I wanted. He was so patient with me. He was a perfectionist, I know that now. He made 2 dentures for me , I have never been so happy with the results. He gave me back my smile and confidence. Thank you Dr Mallaisy! You are the best.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mo and dental assistant Mel really make me feel safe when I need anything done. They do frequent check ins to see how I’m doing and if I ever need a break. So glad I switched dental offices! Thank you for everything! Also the desk staff is amazing too! Big shoutout to them! They are very personable and I always leave the office smiling and laughing!

Negative experience: I had a crown done by Dr. Heather Carr in 2021, and in 2022, the crown broke along with part of my natural tooth (pls refer to the photo). This means it lasted only about 9 months. This situation caused significant difficulties for me — not only financially, but also in terms of mental stress and the effort required to find a dentist to fix the damage. Since I moved to Montreal in 2023, I was unable to return to the clinic to get it fixed. After consulting several dentists in Montreal, they all mentioned that the original crown was not well designed, including the absence of a post and an overly tight bite, which likely contributed to the failure. I am VERY disappointed with the outcome of this treatment. I had to spend thousands of dollars again, along with additional time and energy, to correct the problem. Most importantly, my tooth CANNOT be restored to its original form. I am sharing my experience here to help inform other patients.

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience with Atlantic Dental Center. I have been seeing Dr. Lee since last year. As a doctor a consultant, he is awesome. One more thing I would like to appreciate about the Lady who was scaling my teeth on January 14th 2026, she is great too. So friendly and she provided me a best service. Absolutely recommended.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I had my 1st full clean and polish with Atlantic Dental Centre. My hygienist Nicole was so wonderful with me that next year's cleaning is already booked with her. Everyone I've met there is pleasant, including Sally, who today helped me remember Nicole's name because of my perimenopause brain fog. I think the place is absolutely marvelous! Kudos! Fantastic experience: Best dentists, I recommend them for everyone. They are kind, they listen, they care. I can’t express how much this has meant to me having had a previous abusive dentist that actually damaged my teeth, purposely hurt me, but was eventually had their license revoked in my childhood it created a fear of dental care and dentists. My teeth were in a bad state as an adult and I finally said I had to do something, I went to Atlantic Dental and they have been amazing. I no longer have fear, my teeth are doing great. They are great with neurodivergent people as well. So understanding. I really want to give a special shout out to Dr Carr, who was the one who helped get me to this point, and Dr Power for the additional support and work as well. Honestly never thought I would write so much about a dentist, but they are honestly so good and amazing.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Dr. Mallaisy for myself and my daughter. It was the best dental experience I’ve had after seeing four other dentists. He explained each step clearly, took consent before every procedure, and examined all my teeth thoroughly. He also checked more than what I came in for, including TMJ pain. His assistant was very helpful and made sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment. The doctor was very caring towards my daughter too. The clinic has private rooms and very clean. Front desk was professional too.

Fantastic experience: Dr Car has been my dentist since I was a child. Now that I have a young daughter she has started seeing Dr Car. Dr Car is probably one of the most amazing woman i’ve ever known, and an amazing dentist. She makes me feel very calm and at ease when I bring my young child in to see her. As well I quite enjoy my dentist visits as well.

He was extremely efficient, kind, professional, and made the whole process feel effortless. He’s also very easy to talk to and took the time to explain everything clearly, which I really appreciated. His assistant, a veiled lady from Iraq (i forgot to get her name), was just as wonderful, friendly, respectful, and very professional throughout. Negative experience: Very disappointed with the way the dentist spoke to me, I had some questions about insurance and he goes " I know they do things different in your country " " where u from ? " I found this extremely disrespectful and degrading . I grew up in this country but I'm sorry I don't have the rules for the dentistry association in nova Scotia memorized by heart. Positive experience: I’ve been to Atlantic dental a handful of times with no complaints. The last visit, though, the hygienist was late, and verbally stressed about somewhere else they had to be. They talked and asked questions the whole time they had their hands in my mouth, and It was a very rough and painful cleaning appointment. And quite long. She told me she would finish, although she was supposed to be off by now. I said thank you. I was there for a total of 2 hours. It was uncomfortable, but my teeth are clean, again!

Fantastic experience: Service is always professional and timely. Very knowledgeable staff who go above and beyond to educate and provide exceptional service. Nobody likes the dentist but they make the experience much more enjoyable.

Negative experience: Last month I took my 9-year-old daughter to this clinic for a cleaning. It was our first dental visit in Canada since her teeth have always been very clean. She has both MSI and CDCP coverage, so I thought the cleaning would be fully covered. The dentist suggested splitting the cleaning into two appointments, saying it was to avoid sensitivity. We didn’t question it. But after the second visit, we got a bill for over $120, which was a big surprise. No one told us that the cleaning would go beyond the insurance coverage, or that there would be any extra charges. For a first-time visit with a child, this felt really unexpected and honestly a bit scary.

Fantastic experience: Awesome appointment needed a full hour to really get it all cleared up as it had been a year since my last cleaning! Anyone who’s been a year or over for cleaning I highly recommend booking a hour! She had lots of time to do a through job of my entire mouth and now I’m set for my next appointment in 6 months for 30 min :) My last appointment did not go well because it was 30min and I had build up and it was on a weekend with a part time student! Now I know better and understand better thanks to the awesome hygienist I had this time around! 5 stars!

Positive experience: No complaints other than taking 3 to 4 visits to get a denture fitted. Normal now, I realize. I'm glad I was retired because there was nothing to prevent me from coming to the appointments. If I had been working...it might have been a problem. Overall, I am quite satisfied...thanks!

Negative experience: I contacted this clinic just to schedule a basic dental cleaning, as a first-time patient.However, I was told that I must undergo a full assessment, including an exam and x-rays（Need about $400-$500）, before they would even consider providing a simple cleaning. I clearly explained that I only needed a routine cleaning — no exam, no deep cleaning, no x-rays — but they refused to accommodate this very basic and reasonable request. For someone without insurance and with a clear understanding of their own dental needs, this policy feels inflexible, commercialized, and frustrating. Instead of helping new patients feel welcome, the experience felt more like being pushed through a system designed for maximum billing. I hope the clinic can learn to treat patients as individuals, not just protocols. A little understanding and flexibility would go a long way.
