Fantastic experience: Dr. Assafeen saw me and I am allergic to anaesthetics, both local and topical. He did a root canal for me on my front tooth last year. Thankfully the nerve was dead and I had absolutely NO pain. I highly recommend him. I do have another dentist but he does root canals as his specialty and she said it would be much faster if he did it. She was right, only 30 minutes.

Fantastic experience: We had our second check-up appointment for our two-year-old daughter last evening, and we are truly impressed. At our first visit, she wouldn’t let anyone examine her teeth. This time, however, the doctor was incredibly patient, warm, and engaging. He played with her, made her laugh, and created such a comfortable atmosphere that, to our surprise, she happily opened her mouth and allowed the full check-up. We are genuinely impressed by the doctor’s approach to such a young child. Everything was handled with great care and professionalism. We are very satisfied with the experience — the clinic is wonderful, and we highly recommend it.

Amy, my hygienist at my most recent visit (i am passed back and forth between her and Michelle lol), did a first rate job of cleaning, (as always--I am spoiled by my Trimac experiences over the years) and is an absolute delight to work with. Trimac sets the standard. Top shelf care and top shelf group!

Subsequent to my previous review: Due for knee replacement on Friday; developed pain issue with a molar; called office (Melody) at 11:00 AM on Wed.; Dr. MacSween away. I had a conflicting commitment at 1 pm. Replacement Doc., Dr. Byrne, very nice person, agreed to check it out. In the office at 12:00 noon Xray and exam - issue resolved; out the door at 12:30 cleared for surgery. Absolutely the best service ever!! But entirely consistent throughout my years with Dr. MacSween and his staff.

I can't say enough how great and service friendly these people are, and no problems at all with full visit and to paying also. Extremely comfortable the whole time. I can't believe that my second trip to Trimac Dental was so great and very well done, that my implant feels like my natural teeth plus my biting makes me feel like I have my own teeth back in my gums. The work they did, is very excellent in feeling natural, eating is no problem and the holding power of everything feels like it is fully attached, naturally in my gums. No pain and living like I never had an implant in my mouth at all, is really terrific and never comes loose, or moves while I am out in public or eating in a restaurant, gives me the truth, like I picked the Perfect place, to have my implant fixed and cared for by real professionals who know their job, to no end. I can't say enough on how marvellous they are at doing this repairs, plus kind and so friendly, almost like better than family Very highly recommended people, and you will feel great like me, if you came and had this type of work done in your mouth. Rates are quite reasonable and well set for the comfort you end up having when you leave for home. Welcome back anytime if needed.

Fantastic experience: On walking into the Dental Centre I was greeted kindly by women at the front desk. A short wait, followed by a super friendly and very kind dental hygienist, Michelle. She made me comfortable and personally attended to. We spoke about art, very stimulating! Cleaning done, Dr.Assafeen introduced himself and we had a very friendly first meeting. Since I have no cavities or problems to attend to, I won’t be back before next May, I imagine it will be equally pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I arrived by cruise ship with a broken crown on a tooth and after 6 unsuccessful tries at different dental clinic, TRIMEC was the answer to my prayer for help. Dr. Aness Assafeen and staff were successful in fixing my problem and I am extremely grateful. The staff was very professional and friendly and I gave a 5 star rating. Highly recommend! Fantastic experience: I was on vacation in Halifax. While eating I broke off about a quarter of a molar. I called 3 different dentists to take a look but they all where busy. I then called trimac. They scheduled me in almost immediately and prompted dealt with my tooth. In all interactions with them they were friendly, empathetic and caring. Highly recommend them! And many thanks to their team as their quick service allowed me and my wife to continue our vacation uninterrupted.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Dr Mackenzie. All of my cleanings have been really well done, without discomfort. He is my primary provider, but I saw Dr Byrns last week for some pain I was having (she was awesome too, she figured out what was going on straight away!), and when I came back for the cleaning this week, Dr Mackenzie had reviewed my chart and went over some options moving forward for the pain I’d been experiencing. He seems to go above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: I went to Trimac Dental today for a check-up of my teeth, and to gather basic information about cost, number of appointments needed, etc. for a bridge between two teeth. I saw Dr. Aness Assfeen. He introduced himself by saying that his first name is pronounced just like NS, as in Nova Scotia. He then tapped several teeth gently to see if there was any pain, and discovered one tooth which would need an X-ray, and possibly a root canal. He also told me what is involved in getting a bridge installed. I found Dr. Aness very patient and detailed in his examination and explanations. Overall I was very pleased with my experience today.

Fantastic experience: It was my first tooth extraction. The dental team made the experience peaceful and calmed my anxiety around the experience. Great place!

Negative experience: The office is clean, and the work was done quickly. I would not return however, because my dentist was dishonest about billing and refused to provide a comprehensive exam/ treatment plan so I could keep being charged for emergency appointments (which I expressed I did not need). My dentist delayed my basic services like hygiene so he could make the money after returning from a vacation, and did multiple costly and bad fillings that are now being taken out a year or two later. DO NOT recommend. Oh, and hope you like wild children allowed to run around reception, because you'll be waiting at least 10 minutes after your appointment starts, and once again to pay.

Fantastic experience: Always friendly and helpful at reception, the hygienists are kind, competent and thorough, and my dentist is courteous, intelligent and explains everything in as much detail as possible. Fantastic experience: My visit to Scot Maclean was to have a deteriorated tooth removed and replaced with an implant. The removal when well but it is too soon to know whether the replacement (which will not be complete for another 3 months) will be a success. so far, so good.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Maclean since I was ~5 years old. He is an incredible man with a huge heart. Growing up, he always took a keen interest in my life and development as a person. He shared wisdom, stories, and laughter along the way. This is all in addition to being a top notch dentist: I did not have a cavity until I was 34 and had moved outside of Halifax for over 10 years. I've recently went back to Trimac dental and now see Dr. Assafeen. It's clear the values Scott instilled are widely practiced at Trimac. Dr. Assafeen recently helped me amend a chipped tooth and was extremely thorough, diligent and thoughtful throughout my entire experience. There is likely no better clinic in the province, or perhaps worldwide.
