Fantastic experience: I've had a few appointments here now, and I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. I had a hygiene appointment today with Julie(I hope I got her name right), and she was absolutely incredible. She answered all of my many unimportant questions, helped look into my dental benefits, and did the least painful cleaning of my life. I typically see Dr. Erin Steeves, and she is always lovely as well. I always appreciate the atmosphere and every staff member I've spoken to. The receptionists are also very kind and patient. Thank you all for everything!

From booking in at a convenient time for myself, filling out patient care forms and even the parking, they made it very easy! All the staff are wonderful to deal with and were able to work with my benefits and timeline for the treatments I need. My dentist explained all my options in great detail so i was well informed and comfortable with our plan! Fantastic experience: I am not a person that likes the dentist, but when I switched over to Halifax Dental Group about 5 years ago I was pleasantly surprised. I hadn’t been to the dentist in A LONG time even though I had coverage because of so many bad experiences - BUT that all stopped when I met the amazing front staff, dental hygienists, and my dentist Dr. MacNeil. They new I was a nervous nelly and made sure I was comfortable at all times. The hygienists are always super friendly and caring and have you in and out as soon as they can. Best experiences are always had now. I’m a patient for life. Thanks so much ❤️

Fantastic experience: Having practised dentistry for 35 years I am well aware of the manner in which patients should be dealt with in a dental practice. I saw Dr. Logan for the first time for an initial dental examination 2 days ago. I was more than impressed with his very kind and professional manner and with that of his dental assistant as well. His initial examination was very thorough. His consultation with me and explanation of future treatment were excellent. The front office staff were very professional also. My overall impression of Dr. Logan's dental practice and staff was very positive.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to your office. I am so impressed with all the staff members at your office from the receptionist to the doctors. Immediately after I step into the office, the receptionist made me feel at home. Very polite, friendly, smart and professional. The doctors that attended to me were courteous and made examining my teeth and x-ray seem easy while engaging me with small talks every now and then.

Fantastic experience: I have never had a bad experience at the Clinic. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr Logan is my dentist. What i like most about him is he explains everything to me. Always ask if I am OK when doing any work on my teeth. I waited maybe an hour and they accepted me without an appointment. Thank you very much to the doctors and the girls at the reception. A very positive experience. I will definitely come to you again. Positive experience: Pending the outrageous price difference between what the Nova Scotia dental association charges for dental work and what the Canadian federal government actually values it as, I had a rather predatory experience of being confronted with a waver form to sign after my treatment stating certain lab made prosthesis will no longer be covered by the CDCA. Although this didn’t affect the outcome of my current appointment, it would be nice to be given these wavers -before- being led in rather than after. For the actual tooth work of my resin fillings, I must say I’m rather disappointed in the rough texture left behind, particularly in the back of my incisor. I received similar fillings in Quebec at a much smoother finish and at a fraction of the cost. Front teeth should also be given more care in the sculpting process.

Fantastic experience: I dislike doing these reviews and rarely do them, however my hygienist is the best I have ever had, she does a really really good job of cleaning my implants and has done some difficult cleaning that no one else has ever done. She is very experienced. She treats me like I'm an adult, most hygienist treat me in a very condescending manner and feel free to tell me off knowing I won't say anything in return. (I must say though another hygienist at the same firm was also very polite). She is also friendly and warm and we have a lot in common but I'm sure she finds things in common with all of her patients. The Clinic is lucky to have her. And I am always glad to go to her.

As someone who has struggled with anxiety and trauma related to dental visits, I was blown away by the level of compassion, professionalism and understanding I received. Dr. Logan is extremely knowledgeable and skilled, but what stood out most was his empathy and calm, personable approach. There was no shaming- just genuine care and patience. The entire team made me feel safe and supported every step of the way. The quality of care was excellent, completely pain-free, and I’m so relieved that nitrous oxide is available as an option to help manage my anxiety. For anyone who has dental anxiety or has had difficult experiences in the past, I can’t recommend Dr. Logan and his team highly enough. They truly make all the difference!

Fantastic experience: I was completely satisfied with the crown Dr. Logan replaced. He did an exemplary job with no discomfort. He has been our family dentist for a number of years and we would never think of changing. He uses the latest technology and stays up to date on everything. He, as well as his assistant, are very friendly and make you feel at ease through the whole procedure. He also repaired a chip on my front tooth and you would never know that it had been corrected (which prevented the necessity for a much more expensive solution). Fantastic experience: Staff were super helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. The receptionist were very helpful navigating insurance paper work and requests. While in the chair I didn’t feel rushed, the team took time to explain the plan, and allowed time for questions and concerns. I had a crown and a filling done. No pain whatsoever and I felt that Dr. Erin (sorry I couldn’t find your last name) and Mandy really took their time to make sure everything was professionally done. In previous appointments for cleaning, had a great experience as well, felt relaxed and at ease the entire time. My husband has even became a regular here after his horrible dental experiences. Fantastic experience: "I came in expecting the usual medieval torture session, but somehow left feeling like l'd just been on a weirdly relaxing spa day-with power tools. Dr.Logan deserves an award for his ability to hold a conversation while my mouth was open wider than the Grand Canyon and full of metal instruments. Meanwhile, Emily was basically a pit crew for my face-suctioning, handing tools, and somehow reading the dentist's mind like they've been training for this since birth. Together, they're like a comedy duo: one asks me questions I can't possibly answer ('So, how's work going?' insert unintelligible gargling noise), while the other translates my noises like it's a second language. 10/10 would recommend if you enjoy leaving with teeth that feel like they've been polished by angels —and a reminder that your dentist is probably the only person you let yell at you about flossing and still say thank you afterward."

Fantastic experience: I was on vacation and had a dental emergency. The staff and dentists were fantastic with timely and well-executed treatment that kept our vacation on track!

Positive experience: I am a nervous wreck when it comes to Dentists but Halifax Dental Centre is a breath of fresh air! The staff are so friendly and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Stephen Creaser , explains all of the steps… completely comfortable (yay lil pain due to infection but still good :) Additional- Front desk charged me for the prescription (antibiotics for infection) during my visit even i already know about it and then I had to pay again downstairs for the actual medicine . I understand how it works now, but it would be better if the clinic simply explained this clearly to patients—that the prescription fee is separate but not be necessary and medication is an additional cost. Since I had already paid for the check-up, I didn’t expect another charge just for one medicine . Clear communication up front would avoid disappointment. They charged me around $20 , just for one prescription (Amoxicillin). This was my first experience like this, and honestly, I felt a bit disappointed since I had already paid for the check-up and didn’t expect an additional charge for just one medication. I just wanted to clarify how this works for future reference.

Fantastic experience: This was an extremely pleasant experience! The office is modern, clean and well equipped, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and Dr. Logan was excellent. In addition to reviewing the dental x-rays he also showed me exactly what he was talking about with actual photos of the teeth and dental work in question. I've never had a doctor do that before and it was much more informative than just seeing the x-ray shots. (Updated in 2025: I have been back several times for checkups and dental work and every visit has been excellent.)

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good about Dr Creaser and ALL those who work with him. From the moment you walk in the door until you leave, they focus on maintaining a calm and pleasant atmosphere even while your dental work is being performed! With a history of traumatic dental experiences since childhood, I will probably never be without anxiety. However, Dr. Creaser has given me confidence in myself but especially confidence in him! I am a very grateful patient.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming to this dental office for decades. Always Friendly professional staff, and a nice comfortable waiting area. Today Dr. Steeves along with her assistant Mandy replaced the second of two very old and cracked fillings that Dr Steeves previously identified as part of a general review and plan she did to keep my teeth and gums in good shape which includes 3 times a year dental cleanings and annual checkups/x-rays. Very happy with the professional work & care provided.
