Fantastic experience: I Just moved to the area and was looking for a dental office and came across yonge forest dental so glad I did it’s a beautiful dental office. Very clean and well maintained. Loved my hygienist she did a great job with my cleaning, she was also very kind. The doctor was very nice and honest when explaining what he saw on the x-rays. Both my boyfriend and I had a great experience.

The hygienist was thorough and gentle, and the dentist took time to listen to me and address some concerns I had with chips in my teeth with several options. She ended up doing some dental fillings to address this which took a half an hour and honestly changed my smile in a spectacular way. The office is immaculate and everyone is so friendly!

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit to Young Forest Dental and the staff were amazing with my 5 year old daughter from the moment we arrived. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and the assistant and dentist went out of their way to make her feel comfortable even though she was a little nervous at first. They were incredibly patient and kind, let her get familiar with the tools by explaining what they do and letting her touch them, and she ended up having a very positive experience. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Negative experience: DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE !!!! So unfortunate that my 3 year old son was treated the way he was treated. I want to first say that the majority of the staff are amazing including dr.Joo Nicole and Alicia. I have nothing but positive things to say about these three people. With that being said we took our son who’s 3 to this dentistry office for his first check up and Dr.Joo noticed a cavity we had to have fixed, he was great communicated very well and was overall pleasant. Fast forward to about a month ago, my son completed his first cavity filling with Dr. Joo who informed us of a other one of concern we booked a follow up but he was in pain so I asked if we could move it up, they were able to squeeze us in with Dr.Chu. I had a bad feeling almost immediately when she walked in 25 mins late and was almost like she was rushing no small talk with my son just speaking to me. Nicole was great throughout communicating with my son and my self and making him feel better during this, while there my son kept asking if he would get a toy after and we all agreed. Dr. Chu started with the freezing needle and my son was visibly upset she remained calm as I tried to calm him down, Nicole was amazing very helpful. After the second needle I could tell she was on edge and perhaps concerned with going forward with filling two cavities on a small child which I understood BUT what was not okay was after a few minutes of tears and my son of course feeling terrible she stopped, my son had had enough and when she decided it was done my son sat up with tears rolling down his face and asked for his toy. TO WHERE Dr. Chu decided it was time for a parenting moment from someone who clearly does not have children and explained that no my son would not receive a toy because his behaviour today should not be rewarded. She later went on to tell me a mother that for example he got to watch tv here so maybe he doesn’t watch tv at home for a few days. I don’t know who this woman thinks she is but it’s clear as day she has no rights to tell me what to do with my own child, she has traumatized my son with her poor attitude and really upset a mother. We will never be returning and will be sure to mention to all to not bring their children or themselves to dr.Chu. My husband called and wanted to speak with her in which she returned the phone call after 4/5 hours with no clue as to what she did wrong, I still have yet to recieve an apology and don’t expect one Disgusting behaviour and disregard for families. They love when you leave a google review so here’s one DONT BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO SEE DR.CHU.

This is the first dental clinic I’ve been to here in Canada, and both my first and second visits were outstanding. Fantastic experience: This clinic has been a great experience. They were so clear with their communication, and were quick to answer my questions once they were able to hear back from my insurance. They are upfront with their services/charges, and it made me feel confident walking into my appointment. The dentist took a lot of time post-appointment to explain my images to me and the suggested interventions. We talked about my goals for my dental health (i.e. I have receding gums, but it turns out part of the problem was my teeth grinding), which helped me understand what my next step should be. Overall, I truly felt this clinic was very patient-centered and it was a pleasure to be their client. I would happily recommend others to come to this clinic!

Wrong So disappointed, receptionist treats you unrespectfully and hostile,talking to me while she is listning to other things over her answer machine that I cant even hear her,her tone is unfriendly, her gace expressions are aggressive Why do I need that. Fantastic experience: I recently got cdcp card and started looking for a dental clinic near by. I found this clinic, checked the reviews, website, got a postcard with a referral program and decided to go there. Clinic is clean, modern, has updated technology for scans, x-rays, cleaning. What I didn't personally like when staff was trying be "too nice" and everyone asked me too many personal questions to break the ice or start a conversation. I have complicated issues with teeth since I was a teenager, so visits to the dentist are not my favourite thing to do. So I feel too tense and too much talking makes me feel even more irritated. But it's my personal issue. If you go regularly and have no major issues - you'll be amazed how caring the staff is. I really liked the doctor, he explained every move he did and all pictures and x-rays. I felt very comfortable with Doctor Socci. He was gentle and supportive, made a plan for me and I ended up my session in a very positive state. Receptionist helped to schedule next appointments and sent reminders. But the best part of their exceptional service was a hand written Thank you card I got on mail about a week after the visit. It made my day and I feel very safe and comfortable now to go back and work with this doctor. It shows how they care about every client. I'll definately recommend this clinic. And I'm very frightened of dentist and very skeptical because of my previous experience. My second visit was even better - smooth, fast and positive. Thanks again!

Negative experience: I had a good review, but until my recent experience I am really not sure about coming back. The whole interaction was a turn off. I came in on August 15th to pick up my trays for myself and my husband. Prior to the appointment I had asked what balance was owing before coming and I was given a total before tax via text message and confirmed my appointment. When it was time to pay all of a sudden I was given a different total. I asked why and the receptionist said she made an error. She went ahead and tried to put through the payment to honor the error at the quote she gave me via text but it did not go through due to my max limit for my tap transactions on my phone. The receptionist then went back to the back of the office and she came back explaining that she could no longer honor the price given via text message and I have to pay full price. I don’t know where the change came from because had the transaction went through I would have had my trays at the price that was quoted to me via text . All of a sudden the price changed and was offered a payment plan. The whole situation just turned me off. Then the receptionist had the audacity to mention my next appointment. Next appointment?? I am not sure if she mentioned that to trigger me but I left it alone, said no thank you, please cancel all of our appointments and walked out.

All staff were incredibly welcoming, smiley and just a pleasure to talk to. I was very nervous and they just made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. After hearing about all the horror stories about dentists I was not expecting to be greeted by the kindest and most professional staff but low and behold! I had not gone to a dentist in far too long due to financial reasons and always feared I’d be met with judgment. From the front office staff to both Drs I met with in the last few days everyone was incredibly welcoming, let me know all my options available to me and even offered advise on other teeth that need attention even though they definitely didn’t need to. Fantastic experience: Over the years I've been to many dental offices including the one I went to as a child. All of which I have been nervous to return because of the scary atmosphere. However, YFD changed my whole opinion on going to the dentist. The hygienist's have a feather touch and their warm and inviting attitude was such a refreshing change compaired to other offices that I've visited. Today, I got a few cavities filled and I was blown away how fast they got them done. The staff at the front dest are so sweet and accommodating for scheduling and they give you lots of heads-up prior to the visit so you don't forget to show up. 10/10 rating - 5⭐ service. Ps. Sante did my cleaning and she is so soft and polite and also very nice, always making sure I’m comfortable. And the office feels modern and clean! They helped me out with the Canadian dental plan! Very convenient!

From speaking to the receptionist on the phone while booking my appointment to getting my full service I felt welcomed and cared for. The Dentist was very thorough in his consultation and the hygienist was very gentle and understanding while cleaning. All in all the whole team was accommodating, warm and professional. 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: The best dental place i have been. From the beginning they explained me very patiently for me to understand about the insurance coverage, they were very nice during all the examination, making me and my family feel so comfortable. They really care about their patients having a good expirience. Also they were great with my kid, he is in the spectrum and thanks to them he felt so comfortable and did so so well. Fantastic experience: Having recently moved to Barrie , we chose Yonge Forest Dental and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The registration and insurance process was very smooth and handled extremely efficiently by Miko and team . All staff are very friendly and incredibly welcoming . Fantastic experience: I took my 3-year-old for a routine dental check-up. The clinic was very clean and well-maintained. Also, I was so grateful for how kind and gentle the dentist and staff were. During my previous visit to a different clinic, my child was very scared and cried a bit, but this time, He didn’t shed a single tear and handled the check-up bravely. Dr.Joo mentioned how important it is to help children get used to dental visits without fear, and I completely agree. I think our family will continue coming to this clinic from now on.

I had a toothache, and the tooth was so loose that it had to be removed. I went to Yonge Forest Dental Clinic, where I was given a consultation on the treatment options available. After some thought, I found that an implant might be the best long-term solution for me. At first, I was scared — seeing the screw that would be implanted into my jaw made me think it must be very painful, so I hesitated to start. But as the pain worsened, I had to make a decision. Dr. Doowon Joo, with his experience in tooth implants, helped me feel more confident about the procedure. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Joo and his assistant Nicole were incredibly professional, gentle, and thorough. Everything was explained clearly, which made me feel comfortable and well-informed. To my surprise, the whole procedure was smooth and not nearly as painful as I expected! I'm also very impressed with how clean the clinic is and the modern technology they use. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. I'm truly grateful I chose this place. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many great dentists all throughout my life and I have to say Dr. Joo and all the staff at Yonge Forest Dental are the best of them all! From the first initial phone intake to our visits, everyone at the dental office was exceptionally kind, professional and lovely to interact with. Dr. Joo is meticulous and his work on my cavities and expired fillings was outstanding—I didn’t feel ANY discomfort and he was incredibly fast. My husband was also impressed by how gentle the hygienist was during his cleaning (he felt no pain or discomfort). My husband and I are confident that we are in very good hands and we highly recommend everyone looking for a trustworthy dentist of great calibre!
