I also see Emily as my dental hygienist who is gentle and very informative. I always learn something new about my oral care and what I need to do to improve it. There’s no judgement!

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: Jan 2026 - I have returned to the office several times in the past year and met more staff. If anything, I am even more impressed. The office runs very smoothly thanks to very efficient staff. Technicians, hygienists and others are friendly and very good at what they do. All of the people I have met there are knowledgeable and helpful, regardless of their role. I raved about Dr. Hanna (Seok) in my first review and stand by everything I said. More recently, I met and was treated by Dr. Dan (Sullivan) is who is also amazing - he listens to patient concerns and offers helpful suggestions. He is able to put even the most anxious of patients (like me) at ease. And, he’s a really good dentist. It is clear the focus of this practice is caring for people and providing the best dental care, and that profits take a backseat to all of that. I am so glad I found this dental practice and wish I had years ago! (Original Review) The high reviews of this dental practice are all well-earned. Everyone I encountered was terrific, from Tamanna, who handled my paperwork and a million questions, to Andrea, the hygienist who examined and cleaned my teeth with such care and patience that my anxiety was at an all-time low for dental visits, to Dr. Hanna, who was clearly excellent with anxious patients and who carefully explained everything necessary at a speed and using clear words that I could easily follow. (I normally handle all sorts of complex conversations every day, but in the past have struggled with anxiety clouding my hearing and rational thought once in the dentist’s chair.) So overall, my visit went extremely well, and I will feel quite comfortable returning for future assessments and treatment that might be required.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Norther Horizons by my home dental office to address an implant problem. After arriving, I was welcomed and made to feel comfortable. Options were presented and a strategy was agreed upon with Dr. Danielak of Cedar Pointe Prosthodontics - who turned out to be a friendly and knowledgeable individual, very professional and truly easy to talk with. The whole procedure was completed on time and on budget to my total satisfaction. I was impressed with the caring nature of the staff and was assured that they would be available for any further questions or concerns in future. I would highly recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad I chose this clinic after a friend recommended it to me. As a nervous dental patient I avoid the dentist unless I have to go. Needless to say Dr. Hanna has been amazing. She is patient, gentle and explains everything as she goes along. I have never felt so relaxed during a filling in my life. Fantastic experience: Dr Daniluik and Lisa are great! Very particular and don’t give up when it’s tough. Lisa has a particularly good eye. I’m still working with them on a front tooth crown /bridge , but I’m very encouraged that they’re going to get it as close to perfect as possible. As far as I’m concerned, Dr. Danielak has gone above and beyond the expected service. driving down to the North York the lab at least twice for my tooth. If you need anything difficult done, they’re definitely the team!

Fantastic experience: Dr Danielak, Lisa and the reception staff were amazing. I was given education, advise and reassurance regarding a treatment plan. I fully recommend this practice for your cosmetic dentistry.

Negative experience: I came in to get my teeth checked after breaking a tooth, they did about 15 x-rays and I was told I had a 100% coverage with the dental plan I had..... However I was told there was an additional $107.00 (co-pay only covered 10 of them) to pay for what my plan did not cover do to fee guides (no Problem).... I think I should have been told that there was a short fall and given a quote before doing anything (SINCE YOU KNEW BEFORE WE STARTED WHAT PLAN I HAD).... Then I was told I would get a quote for my teeth to get fixed which I had to call and ask for 3 times they still had not done it. NOT EVERYONE WHO COMES TO GET TEETH WORK HAVE MONEY LYING AROUND, SOME OF US MUST BUDGET. if you want to be left in the dark come here. I have cancelled my appointment to get work done and request the x-rays and was told I could not have them... Now I have to pay additional $ 250.00 at a different client because they maxed out the x-ray portion of my coverage. Poor customer service and lack of communication. NOW i finely get my quote and I was told I had to pay $6000.00 for co-pay deductible I got on the phone with SUNFLIFE (there responce) I call SUNLIFE to see what was submitted since I'm being told I have to wait at least a week for the treatment coordinator to review her estimate for my teeth to get fix.... Sunlife was shock to find out that I was told $6000.00 ($6K) was my Co-Pay when it was actually only $600.00. wIntresting that they told me 6k as what I would need to pay out of pocket. I asked the question way was this MARKET-UP, $5400.00 more than I was required by my Co-pay ONTARIO GOVERNMENT "fee guide, and the cost of a root canal in Ontario generally ranges from $500 to over $1500, with front teeth being on the lower end and molars on the higher end". (mine are molars). This is without having a dental plan. So I asked how they justified a $5400.00 price markup from what was supposed to pay from Co-pay, I was told she could not answer that. I can there stealing your money and billing your drug plans, and know one noticed till now. I have voice recordings of all party's involved and will be posted on my TIK TOK account with updates as this unfolds. RUN PEOPLE RUN Look over your bills and double check what has been billed and deductibles and if you notice the same as I have... I have a lawyer that is involved that you can add your claim to for reimbursement.

Fantastic experience: All staff were amazing. I called for an emergency appointment due to pain and they got me in right away. The dentist had to extract the tooth. The procedure was literally painless. Thanks to all at the clinic.

Fantastic experience: I went here today for a checkup for me and my toddler. The experience was the best we had from the phone conversation to the goodbyes. The entire staff made sure the whole process was easy and quick. My toddler was the first one to have his teeth checked. Chelsea explained everything to him Ina fun and easy to understand way and had him try out all the safe tools. By the time she was done with the demonstration he was excited to have her look at his teeth. It went flawless! When it was my turn, they had a treasure chest for him and Gayle at reception kept his so entertained he didn't want to leave. Dr. Hannah was thorough and professional and made is both feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My first time here, there was plenty of parking and no wait time. I was taken care of by dental assistant Jill and Dr. Hannah. Everyone was so very nice and great at their jobs. Going anywhere for the first time makes me very nervous but Jill was incredibly reassuring, very professional, and genuinely kind and caring. Also they have great tasting fluoride/teeth cleaning flavours (I chose Pina Colada and also Caramel haha). I will definitely be coming back and recommending this dental office to others!!!

Negative experience: I had a filling done on my tooth #46, before the dentist started the filling I asked how many surfaces is he going to fill, the assistance and the dentist both said "only 1 surface". At the end of the appointment I asked again yo confirm , they both said 1 surface again. However they charged my insurance for 3 surfaces (OBL) and as a result my insurance didn't cover all the charges and I had to pay the difference. Sadly this kind of things (insurance fraud) happens all the time in most dental offices, but not everyone has been in the dental field to notice it! Very disappointing! Not recommending this place! If you go to this place pay attention what they charge your insurance for.

Fantastic experience: Northern Horizon has truly exceeded my expectations. After moving to Barrie, I was hesitant to try a new dentistry, but now, over two years later, my kids and I are loyal customers. Every visit is a pleasure and the staff is amazing, always smiling and brightening your day from the moment you step in. I got my implant there with no adverse effects, and the professionals working there are truly top-notch. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great experience!! I needed to find a new dentist that accommodated with my hours of work and this place is awesome. Right from the time you walk in, the environment is very cozy and inviting. The staff was very helpful. They billed insurance company directly which was fantastic! Dr Hannah was amazing! Her assistant, Jen, was also very helpful and explained everything that was going to happen. No pain!!! Great first experience and I'm scheduled to return later this month.
