4 months ago Negative experience: I have been a patient at Parkview Dental for many years, but I was very disappointed with my most recent visit. The hygienist seemed unfamiliar with her work and gave me a very unpleasant experience. I reported this to the receptionist, but her response was simply, “I noted it,” without even offering an apology for the discomfort caused. That response was also disappointing. Virginia has always been excellent, as has the Korean hygienist in her 50s or 60s. They consistently provide outstanding care. Unfortunately, this was not the case with others, and the lack of a proper response from the receptionist made the experience even more discouraging.

5 months ago Positive experience: I went here last year for examination and fillings. What I like about this place: Dentist and assistant were very professional, did a good job, and their equipments were very high tech. What I don’t like about this place: I walked out with a $900 bill for fillings. Almost 1k. THEY DID NOT TELL ME THE PRICE BEFORE OPERATION. Yes I payed almost 1k on the spot and it hurt. Before that I also payed a few hundreds for examination and cleaning. They emailed me constantly for a year about dental check-ups but I couldn’t. I was traumatized. I transferred to another dentist’s office, and the new dentist’s office made sure to show me the bill before operation, which they said was their regular procedure.

7 months ago Fantastic experience: Once again the professionals at Parkview dental saved the day for me. Went in feeling crappy, left feeling happy! I was in serious pain, I thought I had just irritated a tooth, but it turned out to be abscessed. This required an emergency root canal. They made some room in their busy schedule, even forgoing their lunch to fit me in! I am truly blessed to have found these amazing people.

7 months ago Negative experience: I didn't have an appointment, but I was experiencing incredible tooth pain, and since I live so close, I just walked by and wanted to try my luck to see if I could see the dentist or not. I explained the situation kindly and I was in pain obviously, but the receptionist (middle-aged, short hair, asian, female) treated me so poorly, she was rude and aggressive in a weird way. Maybe she was having a bad day I'm not sure but I just left without even trying to get an appointment, from now on, I'm not gonna believe ''positive Google’’ reviews.

We would like to clarify our clinical protocol for "walk-in" emergencies.
We do welcome Emergencies and New patients gladly.
We are sorry you were in pain and tried our best to fit you in however As explained very clearly, To provide safe and ethical care, our dentists must perform a proper examination and diagnosis before any treatment is provided or medication is prescribed. We did explain in a very friendly manner that On the day you visited, our chairs were full with patients who had scheduled appointments. As our team explained, we were more than willing to "squeeze you in" between those scheduled procedures as soon as a safe gap became available.
We totally understand it's very frustrating to be in pain and even one minute wait feel a long time and even our friendly tone can be felt as unsympathetic.
However, we absolutely do care although we cannot bypass our scheduled patients or skip the necessary diagnostic steps required by dental regulations. We strive to help everyone in pain as quickly as clinical safety allows, and we are sorry if our focus on following these safety protocols felt dismissive to you.

7 months ago Negative experience: Complete disappointment! I was referred to this center by another clinic! The doctor didn't do an examination, he just looked at the picture from another clinic (for which I paid) and refused to provide service! It took 5 minutes! 8 months ago Negative experience: I went in for my first visit and was told that my insurance would cover 100% of the treatment, so I went ahead based on that info. Later on, I was surprised to get a bill for a CT scan that wasn’t mentioned in the original estimate. I get that sometimes extra procedures are needed, but I think it’s only fair to let patients know and get their ok before adding anything that’s not covered. I’ve paid the amount, but I was pretty disappointed with how it was handled.

A dental insurance policy is a private contract between the patient and their insurance provider. As the healthcare provider, we are not a party to that contract. While we offer the courtesy of "Assignment of Benefits" (allowing the insurance to pay us directly so you don’t have to pay the full amount upfront), the ultimate financial responsibility for all services rendered lies with the patient.
Regarding your specific situation:
Information Accuracy: Our estimates are only as accurate as the information provided to us by the patient. We have no way of knowing if a patient has already exhausted their annual maximum at another office or if their specific plan has unique exclusions that the insurance company does not disclose to us due to privacy laws.
Diagnostic Necessity: A CT scan is a vital diagnostic tool for safe and precise treatment planning, especially in specialized care. Dr. Ayoughi cannot perform surgery or complex procedures without a complete and accurate diagnosis.
The Estimate vs. The Bill: An estimate is a "best guess" based on the data provided by your insurance. If an insurance company denies a claim—whether because the patient gave incorrect info or because the plan limits were reached—the balance automatically becomes the patient's responsibility.
We are sorry for the frustration, but we must follow the clinical requirements for your safety and the administrative rules set by your insurance provider.

10 months ago Fantastic experience: I went to Park view to get the first part of implant for 1 single tooth. I am a nervous person when it comes to anything to do with my teeth - especially surgery! From moment I stepped into the clinic I was warmly welcomed by all staff which put all my immediate anxieties at rest. Once in the room, both Joanne and Dr. Ayoughi made me feel valued, important and all my needs would be met. In fact there was some light banter and happy humming which also made me more comfortable. I did not experience any pain. If I was uncomfortable I was instantly put to ease by both. Joanne and Dr. Ayoughi walked me through the process and spoke in plain language which made me feel involved and a part of the process. I’d had ortho and perio work done on a tooth for the last 10 years that kept failing before I finally decided to get an implant and I’m so glad I did, and with Parkview! After 10 years of failed work the tooth was very sensitive and I was super anxious with any dental work being done, but Dr. Ayoughi and Joanne were so lovely and funny and I was always at ease in the chair. And Dr. Ayoughi knows what he’s doing more than any tooth-related doctor I’ve seen in the last 10 years (and I have seen many). The whole team at Parkview is incredibly informative, supportive, and just great people! The crown is now in and it looks and feels phenomenal! 1 year ago Fantastic experience: Awesome experience at Parkview Dental. Last night I suffered from acute dental pain. Called up the office in the morning and Coti at frontdesk assured me and manged to book an emergency appointment within few hours. Dr Moradi was excellent and used dental CT scan and microscope to do emergency RCT for my troubled tooth. Whole procedure was very well executed and I was very comfortable throughout. Assistant Reshmi explained everything in Hindi for my understanding and really took good care of me. I am really lucky to find such a great office for my dental care and strongly recommend to everyone for their dental treatment, including implants and braces.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Well I’m all checked out on Implants 101, DrDr and his CDAs demonstrated a very professional and happy, happy workplace.They took enough pictures to put me on the cover of Time! Ben in pre ops helped me complete the Mortgage application ;. his post op talk was valued as he suggested I introduce myself to ibuprofen and Tylenol 3 for a pleasant nights rest. I appreciate that he does not rush. Coti explains the billing process very well so I always know what to expect. 1 year ago Negative experience: I replaced my crown teeth from here as parkview as the doctor at parkview suggested that my crown teeth has gap in it. So it needs replacement. After after a year ( last week) the newly fitted crown came off and I called to book an appointment to fit it back. After the fitting back my crown , the doctor who fit my crown told me to visit false creek location if it ever happened, coz the doctor who fit my crown has been moved ( excellent service). After the section, the receptionist confirmed no charges for the service done on that day, however next my insurance have charged with 156$, with an exam fee ( which they never did). So I made call to parkview and asked the reason for charges coz I was told no any fees after the appointment and my insurance only cover 80% and rest I usually pay my pocket which they never asked. The person who took my phone answered that the service is done by different doctor hence charges applicable. No one has ever mentioned charges now they charged me from my insurance. The receptionist said to me , their mgr will call me regarding this issue, however no one contacted me with charges issue, after several call to them for the same reason I received a text message from their mgr but asking for me another appointment to fix my crown teeth. I woudnt have cared as it from insurance; however the bad review is for their negligence and bad customer service .

1 year ago Fantastic experience: My visit was sort of small emergency. Fortunate to have a late afternoon appointment and fixed the issue which took almost one and half hour. Both the doctor and assistant Betty were amusing kind and caring which made me less stress and anxiety.

My review is based on multiple experiences over several visits where there were repeated miscommunications and a lack of professionalism from your team. I raised my concerns during those visits, but unfortunately, the team manager indicated that even the owner believed your actions were fair, leaving my concerns unresolved. It's ironic to mention 'mutual respect' in your response, as I did not observe an acknowledgment of mistakes or an apology when warranted. That said, my concerns and reasons have already been brought to your attention. If you would like to discuss them further, I am open to it."

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Parkview Dental is a great place to have all of your dental care needs taken care of. The state of the art equipment is quite amazing and the office decor modern and tasteful. I have had regular dental care and implants there and can’t say enough about the high quality of dental expertise provided by the dentists. Always gentle, friendly and knowledgeable. The dental assistants/hygenists are great at their jobs and always make me feel much more comfortable during procedures. The admin staff are friendly and extremely efficient. I switched from a long time dentist to Parkview….and it was the best decision I have made! Highly recommend!

1 year ago Negative experience: They offer direct billing to the insurance and then let you know in advance if the insurance is not covering it so you can decide if you will take it or not but they didn’t it in my last appointment and made me pay the whole bill without letting me know in advance. The cleaning service is like a torture, they are rude and careless with the pain, I have never received a cleaning service as painful as this one.

Insurance coverage is the contract between you and your insurance company and we have nothing to do with it. Only as a “courtesy” we send estimates and claims to insurance on patient’s behalf. It’s ultimately your responsibility to communicate with your insurance company if there is concern about money over oral and general health.
We do our best to inform patients in advance about what insurance may or may not cover, but it is essential to understand that responsibility for payment remains with the patient.
In your case as you know, We did send the estimate to your insurance on your behalf as a courtesy, and you didn’t give it to us to calculate your balance and expected not to pay! Very puzzling!
Regarding your cleaning experience, our team is dedicated to providing the best care possible. It’s important to note that when cleanings are overdue, or gums are neglected, the procedure can be more sensitive. However, we are never rude or careless in our approach.

Dr. Ayoughi and Dr. Hooman laid the groundwork to what was going to happen to me, lowered my anxious thoughts and let me me know of my expectations and their expectations from the examinations and surgery. Hence, I was mentally and emotionally prepared and my negative emotions were lowered . Very good with being positive, give me a great portrait of the events that were going to occur, and answered by queries truthfully. 1 year ago Negative experience: Date: July 16, 2024 Update *** Stay Away From This Place. Especially Dr. Mozhgan Mohebi*** Ever since I got my dental treatment four days ago, I have been experiencing symptoms like fever, chills, fatigue, and aches and pains throughout the body. I had a lot of dental treatments in the past, but never like this. It might have something to do with the tools not being sanitized properly. Also, Dr. Mozhgan Mohebi's work had been nothing but sloppy. She finished surface bonding with one of my four teeth without smoothing it out. I could feel the spike and told her about the problem. She also intentionally not patched the big cavity on one of the four teeth. She probably thought that I would come back so that she can charge me for more. The four teeth that she worked on were supposed to be all included and were part of the essential procedures. I feel like I just visited the dentist from hell. I hope I did not get HIV because of all that. It is scary and it has been scary. Date: July 12, 2024 (Initial Post) After my first visit for basic cleaning, complete CT scan and X-ray examination, I was given an estimate for my next visit procedures. I came back for those procedures and found out that they added 6 more items and two of those are not insured. I ended up paying close to 3 times than I expected. I felt like I am jiffed and scammed. Also, there are a few misses in her works. Her name is Dr. Mozhgan Mohebi. I believe that all of their staff are told to do that same, not just her in particular. I am awaiting my estimate and insurance approval for my bridges and crowns for my next visit. Lets see what they have up their sleeve. So far, it has been no good.

But my most unpleasant experience is with the hygienist in the first room of the Parkview dental's Boundary/Kingsway office, the hygienist completely misunderstood my concern and cluelessly being emotional to start complaining about my teeth...my goodness! have you ever been complained by s hygienist of your teeth as a patient!?... extremely unprofessional!! it's definitely my most terrifying experience and will never ever recommend her!

The team took care of my needs, helped accommodate my insurance & actually spoke to me like a patient, not a cash cow. For those who don’t love dentists, this is the place. 2 years ago Fantastic experience: I was so apprehensive about getting 3 implants, imagining the worst! I could not have been more wrong. I am so happy to have met Dr. Ayoughi and his team. He made the experience almost delightful. He was so friendly, funny, and professional. The rapport he has with his team is amazing. You can tell they all love their jobs. I want to work there! For anyone who might be afraid of getting implants, for whatever reason, I can tell you to just do it. There was no pain during the procedure, which is what I expected. And there was no pain after. Which is NOT what I expected. At my follow up appointment I had some questions. Dr. Ayoughi patiently walked me through the procedure and even showed me some of the photos taken during the surgery. So interesting! I am recommending Parkview Dental and Dental Implants, with 10/10; 5 stars; Most Valuable Clinic....whatever the top score is. My experience here was so positive, and top notch all the way. A special shout out to Ben, who was so helpful, and showed such great concern for my well-being. This place removed my fear, restored my faith that you can have painless implants, and made me feel valued. Yay Dr.Ayoughi and team! Update: It's five months later and today I received my new teeth at last. I am so happy with the outcome. They look natural and feel fine. I think it will take some time to get used to them, as that space had been empty for so long.The process has been quite involved, but the team at Parkview Dental has been THE best! 2 years ago Fantastic experience: I had a dental implant done with Dr. Ayoughi - He was amazing - very skilled, gentle, positive and reassuring!! I felt like I was in extremely good hands! The entire experience was very smooth and easy from start to finish! Both the front desk staff and Dr. Ayoughi’s assistants were very caring and made sure to make me feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible! They answered all my questions and more! I am super grateful and would highly recommend Dr. Ayoughi and his wonderful staff!

2 years ago Fantastic experience: Friendly front staff and worked to accommodate my schedule for this and upcoming visits. My hygienist was awesome, social, and knowledgeable. She gave me lots of tips and explained few plan and work need to be done. Dr. Ali was great, came in to review X-rays and suggested an action plan. All in all pleasant experience and I already have my appointment with them back in 1 week time.

2 years ago Fantastic experience: Awesome! Rasmine is a Great Dental Hygienist, does an amazing cleaning and is very gentle. She always asks if you are doing okay and is kind and friendly. I did not feel any discomfort at all. I highly recommend this Dental office. The Dentists and hygienists are extremely thorough! Always a good experience here. Dr. Ayoughi and Betty are awesome and do everything possible to ensure your dental procedures are successful. 10/10

2 years ago Fantastic experience: Dental hygienist Youra is always very nice and cheerful. She maintains a high standard of workmanship; her work is always thorough yet gentle. Other staff in the office are also very chill and polite; they always send reminder messages to remind the next upcoming appointment.
