Fantastic experience: NHDC is absolutely the best clinic! I’ve been a patient here for the past 11–12 years, and the experience has been great. The front-line staff, especially Heather and Alicia, are always pleasant, welcoming, and professional — they truly set the tone from the moment you walk in or talking to them on the phone. Today my hygienist, Viv, was hands down the greatest! She did my cleaning and was incredibly gentle, professional, and so sweet. She also offered great advice and took the time to make sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment. Also, Dr Pak has always been great. I genuinely appreciate the care and attention I receive on each visit. Thank you .

I believe my last hygienist was named Nav and she was excellent, I have never had a hygienist who was so gentle. Very highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I went in this morning with an on-and-off toothache and was really impressed with the care I received. The dentist was attentive, explained everything clearly, and made me feel at ease. Even though we’re still figuring out exactly what’s going on, I felt listened to and well taken care of. The clinic runs smoothly and the team is welcoming. I’d absolutely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I was accommodated hours after I called, in excruciating pain. Had my procedure done within 1.5 hours. The dentist and his assistant were amazing, always checking on me and making sure I was comfortable. They even took pictures of my tooth to show me the step by step process. Very clean clinic, and extremely kind staff. Thank you all so much!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Nothern Dental for over 8 years now. As usual staff are very courteous and knowledgeable. From front desk to my dentist and hygienist, they are all good and patience. Sharmaine my hygienist is very kind and patience. My teeth are very sensitive and her touch make me feel comfortable. Her hands are light at the same time cleaning my teeth very well. Some hygienist lean on my mouth which make my open mouth really tired. Thank you Sharmaine!

Negative experience: Booked an appointment to have a tooth pulled which had been bad for years and finally now is aching constantly. Took X-rays and then said I don’t have time today. What the hell, appointment was to remove tooth. I guess getting max dollars from patients is more important.

Fantastic experience: I have always had extraordinary care at Northern Hills Dental. Although I moved out of the community nearly 15 years ago I am a long standing patient since 2007. Very difficult to consider changing to another clinic despite the travelling time I experience now.

Negative experience: Unnecessary and surprising charges from Patient’s pocket, intentionally scheduling more appointments to finishing the simple cleaning. They think we never had visited any other dentist and we don’t know how the charges should be. We never need to pay anything, always covered from our benefits. Even though I had enough balance in my benefits still needs to pay surprising charges that were never charged by any other Dentist. Visit here if you have extra money just to waste.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about this office and their staff. I needed a root canal but my insurance was running up and I had an infected tooth that wasn’t taking to the anesthetic. Dr. McLeod and her assistant Peggy got me back in within a couple days and found a way to make it happen despite being a challenging case. They talked me through everything and were extremely accommodating throughout the whole experience. Though dental procedures are never fun, they made sure I was comfortable as possible and was even cracking up laughing. I will be bringing my daughter here, recommending this place to annyone who asks, and returning for all future treatments. Thank you Dr. McLeod. Thank you Peggy. Thank you Northern Dental!

After a long absence, it's taking no time to get back on top of things regarding dental repairs and hygiene. It took courage to get back into the chair again but I'm so glad I did. Fantastic experience: New recent review (October 2025): Another appointment with Northern Hills Dental and with Tatiana. So delighted to have Tatiana as my hygienist! She is so friendly and thorough. She remembers me, asked how my summer was, and is most excellent at what she does. She explains very well, provides solid tips on flossing and healthy maintenance of teeth/gum, illustrates with prop how to brush and clean with different "tools", and many other suggestions that I will utilize to my benefit! She is simply 120% outstanding at what she does! Highly, highly recommended!! 6 months ago approximately: I had a most pleasant experience today with hygienist Tatiana! She did an amazing job with cleaning, scaling and gum line measurements (aka periodontal pocket depth readings ). The gum line measurements was the most painless experience I ever felt; no pain at all compared to previous visits. Also, she is super friendly, communicates and explains really well, and checking regularly with me if I am doing alright. Delighted to have her as the hygienist! Thanks Tatiana and Northern Hills Dental. Cheers!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough positive things about my experiences with Northern Hills Dental. I have been going here for 10 years. We moved to another city in August. but I am still choosing to travel and stay at Northern Hills Dental. Of note, Kam is extraordinary in her position at the front desk. She is so positive and professional and remembers names and stories. The dentist, Dr. McLeod, is extraordinary, too, and is very proficient in her profession. I have great faith in her and the team that surrounds her.

Negative experience: Reception is horribly rude. If you want to be talked down to and have someone be angry and condescending at you for asking simple questions, this is the place.

They worked like two Tooth Faires, but in the real life.They used their magic touch and finished tooth filling appointment just in a couple of minutes! Negative experience: I came in to do a consultation for invisalign braces. The dentist spent the whole 10 minutes with me and gave me an estimate of $5000 for the treatment while other offices gave me estimates of $3500-4000. He did not perform any cast modeling or 3D imaging of my teeth, so his estimate was a pure speculation.

Fantastic experience: Ernest Egger - International Exotic Cars Had a dental procedure done by Dr. Michael Mah. Very happy with results. Will definitely be back.

Negative experience: I am going to this dentist since 2021. I had a very bad experience in my previous visit, I was booked for cleaning and reached on time as per schedule. They started doing X-rays and said they don’t have time for cleaning. I have to book for another appointment. I booked another appointment for 1 hour and again I arrived on time. After one side of cleaning Hygienist said they don’t have enough time to do full cleaning. I requested to continue and finish it If she need more time I am available and extend but no luck, I had been booked for another appointments for rest of the cleaning but got a message to change the appointment time. Well They charged me 500$ 370$ for X-rays (which was not scheduled) and rest for half of the cleaning.My cleaning is still pending lol… just posting my comment, How professional they are and how they take care of their customers.

Fantastic experience: Just came out of a visit with Dr. Mohamed over a wisdom tooth that needs be root canalled or extracted; currently super painful. Dr.Mohamed did the x-ray and assessment, free of charge, leaving it to me decide what we do next in near future. Couldn’t be happier with the visit. This dentistry clinic is great and in particular Dr. Mohamed that i deal with is knowledgeable, understanding and considerate. Really thank you.

Positive experience: I went there recently twice to have my teeth cleaned: one was for the lower teeth and another for the upper teeth. The 1st appointment was with Meni and everything went well. She did a good job and gave instructions on how to take care of your teeth. She was also very pleasant to deal with. She also billed me the right amount of her work: 3.5 units. I would give a 5 stars for Meni. The 2nd appointment was with Maria and it was not a positive one. My appointment was originally at 12:30pm and they changed it to 12:50pm without informing me. Maria cut into my gum line and did not even bother to clean the blood on my teeth. She did not do any flossing at all. This is the first time I experienced this. I timed the session and she provided 49 minutes of service but billed me for full 4 units of 15mins, equal to 60 mins, totalled $334.04. I told the front desk that the billing was incorrect but after checking with Maria, they insisted on charging the full amount as they rounded up to the next unit. It was a very negative experience and I would not recommend anyone to go with Maria's service. Of course they did not send me an invitation to review the service so I had to use the one they sent before. Wish I could give a 2 separate reviews.
