Extremely talented Dr. Don He, provided the best possible treatment to my daughter. She is always very well received at the clinic. He injured his front tooth, which was pushed back and ultimately needed to be extracted. Our family dentist sent an emergency referral the evening before, and we received a call first thing the next morning with a same-day appointment. The clinic is very kid-friendly and made my son feel safe and comfortable during what was a scary time for him. The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and professional. We are so grateful for the amazing care he received. I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing pediatric dental work. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my son!

Fantastic experience: We have been bringing both of our children to Children's Dental Health Centre since my oldest turned one and we’ve had nothing but positive experiences. It’s been wonderful to see the practice grow. The recently updated space (the new patient rooms and the playroom) has made our visits even more pleasant. Dr. He is truly exceptional. He is skilled, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient with my kids. What I appreciate most is how he explains exactly what to expect in the future during each visit and he has followed through every single time. It’s rare to find that level of consistency and care. My kids are comfortable there and I feel fully informed as a parent. Beyond the clinical care, the hygienists are incredibly patient and skilled at working with my children. The administrative staff is equally impressive and always kind and helpful at the front desk. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We have been seeing Dr. He since my twins were 2 years old, and we’ve had such a great experience every time. He is patient, kind, and really good with kids. Recently, one of my twins needed fillings, and she didn’t complain once about pain or discomfort, which says so much about how gentle and caring he is. The whole team makes us feel comfortable and well taken care of. I’m so grateful to have found a pediatric dentist we trust and would highly recommend him to other families.

Fantastic experience: Update: Both of my children now attend the Children’s Dental Health Centre. Their approach with little ones is great. The hygienists and Dr. He are so warm and welcoming. They are mindful to check in with me with any procedures. I am grateful that my children’s first experiences with a dentist have been so positive. We’ve been visiting the Children’s Dental Health Centre for a few years. I wanted a place that would be fun to go to and have strategies to engage busy children. All the hygienist and assistants have been patient and very attentive to our kids. They are good at being proactive and telling us of worrisome spots to watch over. My son had his cavity filled at this clinic and the procedure went smoothly. They are professional and knowledgeable and I would recommend this dental office to others.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience with Dr Bell and the dental hygienist Hira! We are so happy with the cleaning and thorough examination!

Negative experience: I had visited this clinic because it is the only children’s dental clinic in my community. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a very disappointing experience and getting worse and worse. Despite the examination and scaling treatment being 100% covered by my insurance, I was always charged additional fees. Afterward, I discovered that the clinic charged above the Alberta Dental Fee Guide. The quality of care did not justify the extra cost at all. The scaling and polishing lasted only about 20 minutes, which is far from thorough, and I did not even get to see Dr. Hee. Yet, I was required to pay approximately $100 out of pocket. Based on my experience, this clinic seems to rely on its “children’s clinic” label rather than providing proper care and transparent billing. I have since learned that many other dental clinics offer significantly more thorough cleanings (around 90 minutes) with no additional charges and much higher standards of care. Parents should be aware that children can visit any regular dental clinic—there is absolutely no requirement to go to a children’s-only dental clinic. I would not recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: We love Dr. He and his staff! He’s so friendly and great with the kiddos. All the hygienists we’ve had the pleasure to receive care from have been excellent - so gentle, friendly and caring!

Negative experience: Unfortunately had several very negative experiences here. I work with young children and I am disappointed that the staff are not better equipped to help a child that is clearly in distress. Also from a parent perspective, the lack of communication from the office was concerning. My son was only 3 when he needed some cavities filled. He had never had dental work before aside from basic exams or cleanings. Our regular dentist referred us to this clinic as she doesn't do treatment on children. The lack of communication at this office was apparent because I thought we were going for an exam, but upon arrival I was told it would be treatment. No sedation was offered, the procedure wasn't explained to either my child or myself, and the dental assistant held my child down and told me to do the same while my son cried and Dr. He kept drilling while my child pleaded for them to stop. Dr. He even scolded my son for being upset which was surprising to me. I would have thought a pediatric office would have better methods of calming an upset child. They tried laughing gas after he was already crying, which was too late and did nothing to calm him. This experience made my child extremely anxious about this dentist in particular. He has no problem going to our regular dentist because the team there explains everything. We had to go back for another filling recently. My son is now 4 and has had many positive experiences at a different dentist location so we thought it might be okay, but the lack of communication was apparent again. We arrived thinking he was getting another filling as they left one untreated back in April and told us they'd have to fill it but would wait until he was older and booked an appointment for December. When we arrived they said the appointment was just for an exam. They said they needed to have an exam from their own office within three months of treatment. This was not explained to me and had I known that, I wouldn't have taken my child for an exam at our regular dentist just a few weeks before. I expressed my concern that the cavity needed filling and they did manage to get us in that day which is the only positive I can say about this place. Dr. He mentioned my son's "sensory issues" which has never come up before, so I can only assume was a label placed on him after our last visit because my son cried while getting his teeth drilled. Another issue is that they do not run both parents' insurance companies so you go in blindly not knowing if you'll be fully covered or not. I expressed my concerns and was told everything is standard practice. Unfortunately there really is nothing that could be done because my son was so traumatized from his first time having dental work in this office that he now associates this office as being an unsafe place so we will have to go elsewhere for future dental work. He has no problem going to other dental offices so it is definitely just this place that is the problem. I hope staff at this location learn that a child's first time having dental work can make or break their lifetime experience with dentists and if it is a traumatic time, they may have set that child up for a life of dental anxiety. I was surprised to see all the positive reviews, but discovered from talking to another parent that you are entered into a raffle to win toys if you leave a positive review. Please read the 1 star reviews before coming here because other parents had the same experiences as I did with the staff mistreating their children.

Negative experience: I took my daughter here to get one tooth pulled. Dr.He said we needed to put her under general anesthesia. He was very dismissive of my questions as to why this was needed. He did not want to explore other options. I felt that this would be easiest and fastest for him, but he wasn’t thinking of my daughter’s best interest. He didn’t explain side effects and spoke down to me. I will absolutely not be going back or recommending this place to anyone. It has a lot of fancy toys, but lacks compassion.

Fantastic experience: Wish I would have taken my kids here from the start. Games in the waiting room, super friendly staff, cartoons in all the rooms. Dr Kevin did a filling for my daughter and was absolutely fantastic. She was very nervous and crying at the beginning and left smiling and high fiving staff. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming here for years, and they are consistently amazing. The waiting area is incredible—it’s so fun and welcoming (they even have arcade games and bubble hockey!), which really puts you at ease. ​I have to give a huge special shout-out to the secretary, Bernadette. She is always so helpful and has been amazing every single time we visit. It’s rare to find such great customer service. Fantastic experience: I brought my youngest daughter here for a consultation, upon walking in the clinic was clean , inviting and very very child friendly. The staff were all very friendly and the check in process was streamlined. Once we were brought back everything was clearly explained regarding the procedure that was required for our Daughter, there was some concern regarding financial coaverge as our family was in a tight spot. Negative experience: My 2-year-old daughter recently had a dental appointment with Dr. Don He for a filling and a crown on her molars. As a mother, it was very difficult to see her extremely scared and crying during the procedure. I understand that dental work for young children can be sensitive and challenging, and I truly respect Dr. Don He for his skills. He is very professional, experienced with kids, and he did an excellent job with the actual dental work, just as many other reviews have mentioned. We were grateful and thanked him afterward. However, I also want to share our honest experience. During the procedure, when my daughter was crying hard, Dr. DON HE raised his voice at me in front of my husband. His tone felt personal and rude, and he asked me to step outside in a way that made me uncomfortable. He said to me do you think i am hurting your kid? As a parent, it was hurtful to be spoken to like that, especially in a stressful moment when my child was already scared. I still appreciate the quality of his dental work and his expertise, but the communication and approach during the situation could have been more calm and compassionate. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for other families in the future.

Fantastic experience: My two daughters are followed by Dr Bell for about two years now at childrens dental now. We are very satisfied with the care and treatment that we have received from Dr Bell and her entire team. My kids are very comfortable going back to Dr Bell for any follow up and routine chek ups. She is best at what she does and I recommend her for anyone looking for dentist for their kids.

The clinic has provided us with an option to see Dr. He for our follow up appointment, and tried their best to make it right for me and my son. Dr. He had dedicated time and effort to provide us with care we needed and expected from the pediatric dentistry. He is a very professional and caring dentist who cares deeply about the little patients. I would recommend him as a pediatric dentist to anyone who is looking for a professional doctor who has made a commitment and a choice to work with kids, and he knows how to do it properly. We are grateful for the willingness to fix the issue and the hard work they did to make it happen. Thank you. Original review (1 star review): I was quite happy with their service and staff until today’s appointment. We had an appointment at 11 am for the cavity treatment for my 3 years old son. Dr. Bell was supposed to be available at this time as they booked us with her for this appointment, however she was performing treatment for someone else, so we ended up waiting for 35 minutes until I came to the front desk and said we are going home soon if they are not able to have us. When Dr.Bell finally came she was not friendly at all. I am 34 weeks pregnant and my toddler who was exhausted from our unexpected waiting time was nervous. She told us that her assistants are trained to perform the treatment for us, but it’s not professionally. We are paying for the certified pediatric dentist work for the main treatments, not assistant’s work, so this was a complete surprise for me. My son’s lips were extremely dry so I had to apply a tiny amount of the lip balm to avoid lip bleeding as they did it once at this clinic and he was in pain and scared after that. Dr.Bell left us in seconds, and ran to another clients to do an exam making us to wait even longer. Finally, she did the treatment without any compassion or enthusiasm and left us without saying goodbye or anything else. Maybe she had a bad day today, but she made our day even worse. We will have to complete the second round of the treatment we paid in full soon, and I am not feeling well about our overall experience today. They made me feel disrespected, uncomfortable and stressed out.

Fantastic experience: We cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. He and his entire team! From the moment you walk in the door, it’s clear that this office was designed entirely with kids in mind. Every single detail – from the friendly staff, to the playful and inviting waiting room filled with toys, games, and activities – helps create an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming, and totally non-scary for little ones. Dr. He is phenomenal and is incredibly gentle, patient, and skilled at making kids feel comfortable and safe. His staff are equally wonderful – clearly trained to work with young children and create positive, fear-free dental experiences. They truly go above and beyond to make every visit smooth and fun. Both of our kids (currently 2 and 4 years old) have been going to Dr. He for their dental checkups, and we are constantly amazed at how smoothly their visits go. They happily sit through full cleanings – including x-rays, flossing, scraping, polish, and fluoride – without a single tear. In fact, they actually look forward to going to the dentist! That’s something we never imagined saying. After their visit, the kids get the usual goodie bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss – but there’s also a small toy treat, which makes the experience even more special and rewarding. It’s such a thoughtful touch that makes a big difference in how excited the kids are to return. Honestly, this practice has completely redefined what a dental visit can be for children. Dr. He and his team have set the bar sky-high – and we feel incredibly lucky to have found such a caring, kid-centered dental office. Dr. He is one of the most professional, friendly, and knowledgeable doctors I’ve ever met. He’s so patient and gentle with kids, and you can tell he truly cares about them. Fantastic experience: Today my daughter had appointment at this clinic for the very 1st time. She was scared of seeing dentist as she had bad experience at the previous clinic. We were amazed by their excellent service and care. From the receptionist to the assistant and the Doctor. Everyone was so good and friendly. We never had experience like this before. The girl name Chandani she did cleaning for my daughter her sense of humour is amazing. We loved her. Roop was also very kind and nice to us. I think I don’t have enough words for the whole staff!
