Negative experience: This dental clinic, the staff are not really knowledgeable on what they’re doing. We have an appointment today at 1pm and we got accommodate at 1:45 and .they did nothing. We went to redo my husband filling which they did last December 30 and the work not done properly .They keep on booking even they couldn’t serve their customer. Customer service are not equipped in this role. This was not like before. My husband filling is not done properly….. they are supposed to redo it today….

Fantastic experience: I am generally nervous about going to the dentist as I’ve had negative experiences in the past at different offices, but from the moment I walked through the door, the staff made me feel completely at ease. Everyone was so kind, patient, and understanding. They took the time to explain everything to me and never made me feel nervous or anxious. What I thought was going to be a stressful experience turned into something positive and reassuring. I’m so grateful I found this dental office — this will certainly be my new dental office from now on. Highly recommend, especially if you’re someone who gets anxious about the dentist like I do.

Fantastic experience: I would give 10 stars if I could! The staff are absolutely amazing and genuinely care about your oral health. They always make me feel comfortable and welcome from the moment I walk in. The office is very clean and well organized, which really adds to the overall positive experience. Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at this dental clinic this summer. They charged me 550$ for xrays that I didn't even request. Then when I complained they only reimbursed me a laughable 91$ and told me they can't do anymore because it'll come off thier pocket which is obviously a lie. Stay away from this place! Edit, now they're claiming they can't find me in their system yet their sending me messages and emails trying to book me in for more visits!

Negative experience: We’d been with this clinic since they opened in 2011. Even when we moved, we still stayed. Up until we set up an appointment. In winter condition we went but was told we did not confirmed our appointment when they called, but the number they called wasnt mine. I was told to wait since i didnt respond back to their call my appointment was cancelled and wait for an opening.

Negative experience: Dr. Solmaz Farahvash treated my mother of 74 years old very poorly. My mom will never attend Sedona after doing so for 10 years due to this awful experience with this so called Dr.

Negative experience: I didn’t have a good experience there although dentists are professional! The assistant booked an appointment for me and when I went there the front desk said you don’t have an appointment… they need to make sure to put appointments in the system or at least do something when they make a mistake instead of wasting clients time!

She was incredibly gentle and thorough throughout the entire appointment. I genuinely felt cared for, and she took the time to explain what she was doing and gave great tips for home care. The cleaning itself was quick, painless, and left my teeth feeling incredibly smooth and clean. Fantastic experience: I've been coming back here to have my regular check-up and cleaning. I have a very nice experience with all the staff every time I have an appointment. This place is highly recommended.

Negative experience: Unfortunately the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing here...task is to retrieve dental records so I can start with 3 to 5k in work to be done...but no...they don't know how to follow up and call the other office to get those records. Many follow up conversations. Only now...and only now are they clarifying there is another form to fill out to get these records...nothing communicated in the past 6 conversations earlier. I wouldn't trust these people to handle anything with a financial value price tag. Edit...took me 5 mins to call and get my records sent. Was that so hard? I'll vote with wallet somewhere else. Communication badly needs an update here. Edit #2 - the release forms for retrieving my records were signed and your office admin has it...I have pictures on my phone. The office guy owner should of checked with his admin staff to verify instead of deflecting and blaming customers...3 forms filled out. Colossal waste of time. You can't book clients without their records...recent xrays for the work that needs doing. But they still try to book you in ...and then rinse and repeat for the same scenario above.

Negative experience: Just need to call the attention of the management to train your front staff (Curie). We checked in early and waited for 30 minutes as your clinic called my wife and ask if we are coming for our appointment. We are sitting in the waiting area for auch awhile just because of this mistake. Credibility of the clinic starts at the reception and if it’s not a good one, it will just carry over inside. The whole visit is a mess. We booked my daughter for a filling and cleaning then they did checkup and cleaning! My daughter is having pain on her tooth. So again a receptionist messed up! Don’t ruin your clinic reputation with this kind of mistakes!

Fantastic experience: A few weeks ago, we took our two sons (ages 7 and 5) to Sedona Dental Clinic for a checkup. After X-rays and an exam, Dr. Solmaz Farahvash said both had large cavities. She told us the older one needed to see a specialist, and she could only treat the younger one at their clinic. When we returned for my 5-year-old’s appointment, the doctor applied numbing gel, but even though my son wasn’t crying or scared, she decided not to continue and referred both boys to Calgary Smiles Children’s Dental Specialists. At that clinic, they told us the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) wouldn’t cover everything and charged extra even for X-rays. They estimated about $10,000 in total, saying my 5-year-old needed 10 crowns and my 7-year-old needed 6, all under general anesthesia. CDCP would cover part, but we’d still have to pay around $3,200. It honestly felt like they only cared about money — just trying to take more from our pocket, instead of focusing on what was truly best for the children. We felt extremely uncomfortable putting our small children under anesthesia, so we decided not to continue there. Later, my wife — who was already being treated by Dr. Seama Shalchi at Sedona Dental — told her everything that happened. Dr. Seama was incredibly kind, patient, understanding, and compassionate. She truly listened to us and immediately offered to see our boys herself. After carefully and gently examining both children, she told us the truth: they did not need crowns at all — only simple fillings. She said the older one needed 3 fillings, and the younger one needed 5 fillings. During the treatment, Dr. Seama spoke to my sons with a warm smile and loving, gentle words. She made them feel completely comfortable, relaxed, and unafraid. Her kindness and positive energy truly made a difference — my kids actually started to enjoy visiting the dentist! Dr. Seama Shalchi is one of the most caring, honest, and genuine dentists we have ever met. She is not only highly skilled but also has a warm heart, calming personality, and a truly gentle touch. We are deeply grateful to her for saving us from unnecessary stress, cost, and worry. She also completed my wife’s dental treatment, and we are really happy with the amazing results and the care she provided. Our whole family is thankful for her kindness, professionalism, and honesty. If you ever visit Sedona Dental Clinic, make sure to ask for Dr. Seama Shalchi. I highly recommend her to every parent and family looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and exceptionally gentle dentist for their children and loved ones.

Fantastic experience: I finally decided to post a review about my times at Sedona. I have now been having regular cleanings done here for 7 months and it’s always a wonderful experience. My teeth have never been happier. The staff there are lovely and so helpful. The office is always clean and tidy. The admin at the front named Colleen is very helpful and she explained to me in full detail what my insurance is covering and what exactly was charged. She also booked me for my next appointment so I didn’t forget and call in the future to do so!

Negative experience: I had an appointment for a tooth filling on the right side. I have been to this clinic before for cleaning and fillings, and my experience has always been very good. However, today, after the filling was done, I told the lady who treated me that I couldn’t feel my other teeth properly on my left side when I closed my mouth. I wasn’t sure if it was just because of the anesthesia or something else, but I wanted to mention a small discomfort. I did not mean it as a complaint about her work. She ground my teeth, showed me pictures of the filling, and also said my teeth may have been like this before. But I had fillings done two weeks ago and did not say anything because everything was fine. This had nothing to do with the current filling, and I was not complaining about it. When I said it still felt the same, she seemed to take it personally and said she has been doing this for 20–25 years, and no one has ever complained. I understand her experience, but I was only asking a question, not criticizing her work. I just wanted advice on whether I needed to do anything else, and I mentioned it might be because of the anesthesia. I think she took it personally, which made me feel uncomfortable. Once I got home and the anesthesia wore off, everything felt normal, as I expected. I have always had good experiences at this clinic, but this visit was disappointing. I hope that in the future, staff can understand simple questions from patients without taking them personally.

Negative experience: Not sure what’s going on. Be aware. They charge random things onto your account, they say that you’re not fully covered at times when you’re fully covered. They mention they will call the insurance instead and resolve it tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong they are very nice but they ruined a tooth. IMPORTANT. They did a very deep filling which irritated my nerve, mentioned to use Sensodyne instead because of sensitivity. But in actuality my nerve was slowly dying (4 months ago). (Last Night) We had to go to an another dental clinic for an emergency. Found out that the deep filling basically cause my nerve to die causing immense pain and infection. Had to undergo a root canal procedure. Not sure what happened since management changed. Thank you for your previous service.

Negative experience: Not sure what’s going on. They lure you in by being so “nice”. Used to be good. Ever since management changed everything has been terrible on my families end. Silently stealing your money. 1st off experience with the dentists have not been worth it. Everytime I come in for a cleaning it’s either have perfect teeth, or they do not clean anything. Checkups they do not really check anything, even with sensitivity in my teeth. They brushed it off saying I needed new toothpaste and to brush differently. The next day I’m in absolute pain. This sensitivity started 6 months ago AFTER A CLEANING here. 2nd Not sure what things are going on behind the scenes. Constantly doing the “not covered/partially covered” sort of scam. Very very sketchy. They do not even check before hand. They have done this SOOO MANY TIMES. They “call them” and then call me back and say I’m fixed. I know I am 100 percent covered and I argue with the front desk everytime. And I am right!! They don’t care and don’t bother to check!! 3rd I know my teeth are nice but I am still a patient that you need to look into. Especially when I have concerns about my teeth. Thank you for your guys service for many years, and doing the same scam since new management, but this isn’t just about doing the bare minimum but it’s a root issue of just wanting more clients. Instead of caring about all of them.

Fantastic experience: Got my teeth fixed here after years of being unable to afford it. They were very friendly, made sure I was okay throughout the process, and were patient with me the entire time. It was my first time getting a root canal + cavities filled and they did excellent! It's almost as if they were never there. Didn't feel any pain either. I highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: The information about their working hours was incorrect, with no clarifications regarding holidays or anything like that. I wasted my time just coming in, only to be told that they’re closed. They didn’t even ask me what I was interested in or try to clarify anything.

Negative experience: Hey guys I did not have a good experience with this clinic the staff were too busy and they changed my appointment time and doctor without letting us know and by there own convenience I am not recommending this clinic.

Negative experience: When I finished Invisalign my teeth were pressing against each other and wouldn’t let me fully close my mouth without applying pressure on my teeth causing pain. When trying to inform them they disregarded this multiple times interpreting something else I’m not sure. I left it alone for a while and my teeth started shifting back because I couldn’t deal with it. Now my retainers don’t fit, I go back asking for trays as the lady initially says I’m still under Invisalign’s 3 year term or contract or something I’m not familiar with specific details but she would be able to rescan me and get me trays. When she leaves and talks to someone in the back they tell me they can’t help me and try to refer me to someone else. It gets to a point Where I tell them I’ll even pay for new trays and they still deny me and try to refer me to a “specialist “ because “I didn’t like their work”. When I try to go to a different dentist they tell me that my contract or something is open with a different clinic and I’d have get Sedona to cancel it so they can open a new file. I’m not sure why they can’t give me trays when they said I can initially and paid 4K+ just for crooked teeth in the end .

Negative experience: I phoned to obtain information regarding TMJ. Somehow that was interpreted into something that required my phone number. I clarified saying that I'm inquiring as to whether you have someone who deals with TMJ and if not refer me somewhere. It was suggested I google my inquiry.

Positive experience: I’ve always have a good experience it’s clean and everyone is professional and friendly. I would give a five star review But the receptionists need to communicate with one another .I’ve had them call me for an appointment and the very next day I receive the very same phone . With no idea I was just calling the day before. This has happened on several occasions.

Negative experience: I used to rave about how great this place was, but I won’t be going back again. The hygienists and dentists are unfriendly and rough. It’s very busy, smells like weed and cigarettes inside, there’s children screaming and running around in the back right by your dental chair - it’s absolute chaos and extremely unprofessional in there now. Unfortunately I’ll be finding a new dentist after going here for a few years.

Negative experience: Dentist Was confusing to understand. Suggest I get things I didn't really need. So i had to make sure. What i was getting done was nessessary. There was a cavity deep in the back on my mouth. My insurance was maxed out so she didn't really go into details about it I'll be moving onto the next dental office

She’s dealt with my dental hygiene twice but she made both visits nothing but pleasant and comfortable. She’s got very light hands, and she’s provided me with informative moments no other dental staff ever did. She knows what your needs are and she will work around it. She even went the extra mile and changed the cold water for my highly sensitive teeth. I will highly recommend Sedona and Evelyn to friends and family.

Negative experience: I'm so disappointed, I went to Sedona dental to get my retainer replaced as the old one was destroyed by my pet. The retainer I received was paper thin and broke within the first month of me wearing them only at nightand I paid $350 for just one pair. I believe what they gave me was designed for invaslign not retainer because the other retainer I had was from when I had my braces removed. Lasted 7 years and this one couldn't hold for over 1 month. I'm feeling pretty upset as money like that doesn't come easy these days and I cannot afford another one nor would I want to receive another cheap piece of plastic.

Negative experience: This was a good place to go routinely until my last visit where I was booked with a different doctor than the doctor I have been seeing for years for my exam and not advised of this before showing up. The doctor I saw (I do not know/remember her name but be advised if you see a female doctor in this office) told me I have three cavities I need to have filled, which the staff were more than happy to book me into getting filled before I left. However, it turns out I do not have any cavities requiring filling at this time and this doctor was clearly not qualified to make the assessment. What on earth would they have done for me to show up for me to get fillings, drilling into my teeth to fix problems that weren't even there. Yes, there are some areas that are questionable and should be watched. However, had the doctor consulted my past x-rays they would have found that those areas look the same as they did in prior years. In addition, I was referred by my regular dentist at this office last year for a crown that the new doctor this year said I do not need - so because the same doctors' office was telling me two different things, I had to get that checked by a specialist as well. How can I/ why would I ever go back after this nonsense and unprofessionalism which could have severely put me out money, time and stress/pain?

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Dr. Charanjit Virk for some dental work, and I can't recommend him highly enough. Dr. Virk's expertise is evident from the moment you sit in the chair. What truly stands out is how light his hand is—he gave me two needles, and I didn't feel a thing! It's rare to find a dentist who can make you feel so comfortable and at ease during procedures that usually cause anxiety.

Negative experience: The drs are great. However, the front desk is so bad, i tried to book a follow up appointment for my husband after a month of his filling, and somehow the front desk booked him with different dr as an emergency check up, which was charged me $73. I tried to talk to them, but they were just sorry , didn’t do anything to fix it. They said usually they dont charge for follow up appointment, but my husband appointment was booked with different dr for check up. Wth, i didnt book that appointment by myself, and I didn’t know i have to pay the follow up appointment if booked with different dr, and the front person also didn’t tell me which dr she booked, They really should train their front desk again, make sure you talk to them careful, dont expect they would know what to do. We planned to stick with them for a long time, because we like the dr, but i dont think so now.

Fantastic experience: Kim is an excellent dental hygienist. I do not like going to the dentist, but I found her people orientated approach excellent, it put me at ease during my cleaning. She was gentle but thorough; I will definitely be back and requesting her in the future.

Negative experience: I have a very bad dental phobia, so I arranged to have IV sedation for the extensive work I needed. I took the day off work, as did my husband so he could drive me However once they got me their, they told me they didn't have the proper Dr's in office to get everything done that day. And it would have been a week long drawn out multiple procedures. Nope, I can't afford to take of that. Any days of work. The whole reason the IV sedation was in place to begin with. I won't be back

Fantastic experience: I had my dental cleaning today and the dental hygienist ( Evelyn) who did the procedure was so pleasant and was very gentle and thorough . She did take her time to explain to me the procedure and it really did made me feel comfortable. I will always be a Sedona Dental clinic client when it comes to my dental health.

Negative experience: They make you wait so long for your turn even if you come on time. ( Not the first time ) My daughter had an appointment and we waited an hour for our turn then they told us she doesn't have coverage, although they reminded us that she has an appointment. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Negative experience: Took my son in for several fillings as his primary dentist was away, maintained proper hygiene, take him to his original dentist to only find out that every filling done on my son by Sedona Dental was poorly done, several were only half done and others now require crowns and/or to be pulled out as they did not properly do them nor remove the decayed portions of the teeth which has now resulted in the above mentioned and a massive infection! My son is 7 and should not have to deal with this as we trusted Sedona Dental to get it done right the first time! Would never recommend anyone go there. That's not even including the incidents I've witnessed of how they treat other patients as a by stander. Disgusting and a rip off.

Negative experience: This dental clinic is the badest clinic in Calgary the experience i had with them is very bad for example I’ve went to book an appointment with them for my mom to check up and they book us to come today and i got a day off from work just to take my mom so they can fix her teeth but then told us they don’t have enough materials to do it and they tried to send us to another clinic which is bad how a big clinic like that and the have so many patients they don’t have enough materials it is very bad and I have them a review one start and if there’s a less than one star I’d do no start I advise against going to them

Fantastic experience: My husband came in and had 7 teeth/roots removed, and I would like to give a special shout out to Dr. Jeet, Dr. William and his great staff for taking care of him. Everyone was so nice and friendly. He was so concerned, Dr Jeet called himself just to check up on him. My husband needs to go back and get more work done on the bottom and has no doubt he will be taken good care of. Thank You

Negative experience: While I initially had high hopes for this dental office, my experience over the years has regrettably deteriorated. Alarmingly, there appears to be an attempt to artificially enhance their reputation through purchased five-star reviews. My journey into frustration began last year when I required a dental bridge. The office assured me that they had forwarded my insurance claim in August, yet when I inquired with my insurer in September, it emerged that they had received nothing. Upon contacting the dental office, they admitted to the oversight and promised immediate action. However, a week later, my insurance company was seeking further details, which the office claimed to have provided. By October, the silence was deafening; my insurance company had yet to receive any follow-up. Repeated assurances from the dental office led nowhere, with each call revealing another lapse in communication. By November, despite repeated promises, nothing had been resolved, pushing me to the brink of frustration as my eligibility for the year's benefits was jeopardized. Ultimately, the needed response was too late, the year ended, and the opportunity to utilize my benefits was lost. Their indifference when I voiced my decision to leave was the final straw, underscoring a systemic failure to value and manage patient care effectively. This experience has led me to conclude that the initial charm is merely a facade for a profoundly dysfunctional operation. I will never come back and I highly reccomend nobody else does as well.

Negative experience: Waited 45 minutes to get in , with an appointment! And then the dentist was very rushed , as with most of the staff , I felt like they tripled book us ? Felt like I was a bother, explained to them about my anxiety and I felt dismissed. I will not be going back ! Called and told them to cancel my appointments and I am still getting texts ? Front reception is very disorganized! They did not have my file prepared and I had to wait for them to contact my former dentist.

Negative experience: The WORST dental clinic I have ever experienced. My mom and dad had an appointment with Dr. Williams at 2pm. The way appointment was set, first he will see my mom and after my dad. The appointment was at two they called us in at 2:30pm which was fine. He came to see my mom which he did and after he even said I'm going to see your dad now. I was there to translate. Mom was done i went to dad he was in the room waiting for Dr. Williams to come. From 2:30pm it went to 3:30pm a different dentist came his name was Jeet. He came for 2 min talked to dad and he asked my dad to go to a different room and he will come there. So we went, from 3:30pm now it's 4:15pm and we are waiting. I was ruining late for my car oil change so I had to come out to find out what is going on. Went to front desk to ask what is happening why we have to wait almost 2 hours. The front desk said Dr. William pass my dad to one of the Persian female doctor. She has the most terrible attitude very unprofessional. The Persian Dr. Pass my dad to Jeet. And now even he is taking hours. My dad was very upset he got up and we were about to leave. Saw Dr. Williams Jeet and the Persian all together at the same time and I asked why we had to wait for almost 3 hours after making an appointment. He had nothing to say other than I'm not the only Dentist here. But the my dad had an appointment with you. He was very unprofessional. No empathy or accountability. One more thing they make you to give 5star. The other day I was booked for hygiene which my gum got infection after. However the lady I forgot her name she asked me to take out my phone and leave a 5star review. I really don't like when someone asks me to leave a review it's just a turn on off for me. I told her I will when feel like to do it. They will take your money and will never do a good job or even closer to that. Please ignore this place and take your business to dentist clinic where they appreciate.

Negative experience: They have so many people working the front yet they cannot get their act together - don’t reply to messages left. Double booked my extraction - so I had to wait an extra week. The dentist I have seen is poor at best, she has bad manners, is insensitive. Had a filling - was hurting weeks after went back in they had to remove the cavity the lady dentist just filled because she failed to notice it was infected and didn’t use antibiotic before filling it. Then that cavity fell out a year later - only to tell me it now has to be removed. Grrrrr! Have been a patient for 5 years but I will seriously think about a new dental clinc.
