Fantastic experience: My daughter had a smooth appointment and the staff were very helpful.

Negative experience: Receptionist extremely unpleasant answering questions...first by telling me without manners to take my shoes off and all I wanted was questions answered as we wanted to make sure we were at the right place and had the nerve to take a call in the middle of my questions. I had another lady answer which is why I gave a 2 star or it definitely wouldve been a 1star Hes non verbal autistic boy who just like any other kid wants there teeth done without ignorance and fear I may change my star rating after the process by the dentist gets done.

Fantastic experience: All the staff from the front desk to the dentists are so lovely!

Positive experience: The dentists and dental hygienists are great, but the staff at the front always seem to mess things up for us. It’s usually charging both us and our insurance company (this has happened twice) but this time they had no record of our booking, despite having sent me a confirmation. They fit us in with a 30min delay but it would have made a world of difference had they at least apologized for it! They made it sound like we were lucky they could take my daughter in. Yay customer service?

From the moment we walked through the door, it was clear that this team doesn't just treat teeth—they truly understand children. 10/10 experience for both parent and child: The Atmosphere: The waiting room and exam areas are bright, welcoming, and clearly designed to lower anxiety. It felt less like a dentist office and more like a fun, safe space for kids. The Staff: The front desk staff was organized and kind and on time. The wonderful hygienists and the dentist were awesome. They used "kid-friendly" language to explain the procedure. Patience & Empathy: My child was a bit nervous at first, but the staff never rushed us. They took the time to build trust, used positive reinforcement, and made sure my little one felt in control the whole time. Lastly, Reasonable cost and would recommend this dentist practice.

Fantastic experience: We switched dentists to accommodate my daughter’s needs as she’s super hyper and stressed out when it comes to strangers and doctors. The staff here are super amazing and work with my child, takes their time with her and doesn’t rush her, most importantly they don’t get upset with her when she just won’t comply. She’s learned to LOVE our dentist appointments and now she sees friends rather than workers. The office is always so clean and up to date. It’s been a pleasure dealing with our dentist ;)

Fantastic experience: Excellent service! My son had emergency tooth pain from a cracked silver cap, and they accommodated us the same day. The dentist and assistant were kind, gentle, and did a very good job. We truly appreciate their quick care.

Fantastic experience: Great Children's Dental Clinic! Hanan, the dental assistant, is the best! She really knows what she’s doing and was very gentle with my daughter. Hanan is compassionate and makes kids feel safe. Maricor at the front desk was also very nice. She was friendly and helped us with what we needed. The clinic is awesome! There are many fun things for kids to play with, which kept my daughter entertained while we waited. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for a great place for kids to go for dental care!

Negative experience: I was referred here by my dentist. I have never honestly been to a professional business where I was watching kids get pumped in and out like a factory. It was a very unsettling place to be. The way they operate is something else. Kids all come in about the same time and hang out in the waiting room. But one by one a worker comes out, grabs a clipboard and calls your kid's name. Then they take you to a dental room where the assistant spews all the things out if their mouth (like its literally on repeat from every patient from the last month) - showing you the types of fillings, discussing risks, etc, except it is delivered robotic and so impersonal. Then you go to the insurance office where they discuss their fees. Expect to feel gouged, but you have insurance for that. And it's a 3-4 month wait for dental surgery. They have fancy children's centric things like a train going around the top of the entire clinic and tvs on the ceilings to entertain the kids while in the dental chair. Despite that the genuine feeling you get is icky. You are 100% a number in the list of patients that they make flow through this place on a daily basis so they can make sure each of their dentists make a million bucks a year. Being at the Children's Dental Centre literally made me vibrate. I was texting my husband throughout the appointment how uneasy I felt. It felt awful. Then to top it off they discuss how only one parent is allowed to stay at the surgical center the day of the appointment in the waiting room while your kid goes under anesthesia. If you feel like supporting a business that sees your child a number go here. I'm taking my "business" (AKA my child) elsewhere. I asked around and had a friend that took their child to the Dental Services Group. I went in and the vibe is totally different. I rarely write reviews and feel like I have to here. All I can suggest is to check this place out and others to see whether it may or may not suit you and your family. If you feel like a number, there are alternatives. It's not for me. The trust is not there and it needs to be especially if a business is putting my kid under for a procedure.

Fantastic experience: Little one was just in for her checkup. At only 3 years old, she let them take xrays, and polish her teeth without 1 single fuss! I will always reccomend this place to people with younger kiddos especially! They treat the kids with tons of patience, smiles and take their time as to not overwhelm them. 10/10 experience every single time. My daughter loves going to the dentist now, so thats a total win for me too.

Fantastic experience: I have had and continue to have wonderful experiences at the Children's Dental Clinic. My child required alot of work to be done due to negligent Dental care at another office. The Children's Dental Clinic was able to put her and I at ease and she was comfortable enough with the team to do the required procedures under nitrous (which apparently comes in different fun scents!!). Because of this we were able to avoid the stress of having to put her under sedation.

Fantastic experience: We came here because my 2-year-old son’s tooth was turning grey after he fell on it. Because of the nature of the injury, the office made space for us right away. The staff was so kind and gentle with him, and they took great care in checking his tooth and overall oral health. They also took the time to talk with us about how to help our son maintain good dental habits going forward. We’re so grateful for their compassion and professionalism — highly recommend this dental office for anyone with little ones!

Fantastic experience: Amazing customer service and care of my two children under 10, who loved their first visit. Fun, interactive, yet professional and organized. Kids can be kids and relax and even enjoy their dental visit! Brilliant. A bit of a drive from SE to NW Edmonton, but 1000% worth the switch from their old dentist. We need more places like this in Edmonton -- I recommend!

The dentists are super nice and really care about the health of anyone they are working on and the waiting room has many things to entertain your kids like toys and tablets (also there is a train that rides around the roof of the building that the kids love). At the end you get a prize!

Negative experience: We arrived late, and they were still able to accommodate us, which we truly appreciate. However, what I didn’t like about the visit was the overwhelming amount of information they had memorized and recited. It wasn’t just a short explanation—it felt more like three pages of information delivered nonstop, without giving us a chance to pause, ask questions, or have a conversation. The same information was then repeated by both the nurse and the doctor. Overall, it didn’t feel like a personalized visit. Instead of focusing on my child’s needs, the appointment came across as checking the teeth quickly and then repeating pages of memorized information twice.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was pretty nervous leading up to her first appointment, but as soon as we got there everyone was so kind and friendly and made her super comfortable. She was so happy and left with the biggest smile, and she is honestly excited to go back :)

I first visited Dr. Rae Varughese for a tongue-tie consultation, and she was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also kind and attentive. She took the time to address all my concerns and made me feel truly heard. That positive experience is what made me choose this clinic for my child’s dental care, and I’m so glad I did. He has now had two checkups here, and each visit has been a great experience. The hygienists are patient and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that helps kids feel at ease. Not only is it immaculately decorated but there is even an automatic train that goes around the dental studio for the children and their parents to enjoy! The dental team is non judgemental and will help you work with your child and your own specific needs!!! Definitely worth it to take the kids here!

Positive experience: If you are looking for the most cost efficient, I might suggest getting a few quotes for dental work. My son had a quote here and at another dental office for some work he needs and the fess were a difference of approx $300. When I enquired about this I was told the follow a "specialty fee chart" for some of the work he needs. So if cost is priority I would say maybe check out other dental offices for estimates. However, the staff here were quite wonderful with my son.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience - highly recommend! Went for a toddler check up, they were so kind, friendly and loving toward my son. Truly made him so comfortable, he loved the experience. They were also superb with their analysis and explanation of treatment options. My favourite part is that they don’t try do unnecessary procedures and truly take the child’s best interest at heart. Not just a way to make more billings, honestly weigh pros and cons to care for the child with as little intervention as possible.

Fantastic experience: Isabella is great, perfect, and friendly. She helped my daughter with her loose tooth that had been hurting. She has great experience with children, plus she has really good amazing advice about how you should properly brush your teeth, floss, and gargle. We are really grateful for a person like Isabella to show up and save the day! She's the best person you could possibly ever imagine.

He was curious about the X-ray process, and they took the time to show him the machine and explain the images of his teeth, which turned into a great learning opportunity for him. Fantastic experience: ✨✨AMAZING!!! ✨✨ Dental office to take your kids to!!The staff there were incredibly friendly and accomodating. We have insurance under the CDCP benefits through the government . They accept it, and explained everything to me and how this benefit works before my daughter went in. While in the chair the dental assistant explained everything to her in good detail , was very polite and patient with her. They let her choose what show she wanted to watch, gave her a pair of headphones and cool shades for when the dental work started. The dentist was also Amazing! so good with kids❤ If I could give more than 5 ⭐'s I would! ( 10/ 10!!) . Thank you so much to all the staff there!

The staff are Amazing !!!! professionally they are GREAT with kids; they ask questions to get to know them and the kids are open book to them. The office is beautiful and so clean. So kind and compassionate and so very patient, as I have FIVE kids and they run in all directions! Thanks guys for your kindness and caring! ----------- I love how caring and compassionate everyone here is to both children and their caregivers. They are kind, use fun language (sugar bugs), are explanatory (to both kids AND parents), and very flexible with appointments or rescheduling if needed, with notice. This team acts more like a family than coworkers... and I heard they (and the beloved train) are moving to a brand new location soon, not too far away! Very excited! My kids love going to the dentist and I definitely agree, it's always a good time when we see those smiles.

It's the third time my son whi is 5 and a half has his check up with x-rays and second time polishing. He had also his teath treated here twice. Most recently, I brought my daughter in to have a crown removed. She usually finds it very difficult to sit in the dental chair, but the team went above and beyond to make her feel safe and comfortable. The dentists and staff are incredibly patient, professional, and clearly experienced in working with kids. They take the time to explain everything in a gentle and reassuring way, and they always know how to calm any fears. Every visit we’ve had—whether it was for cleanings, checkups, or more complex procedures—has been handled with so much care and kindness. I’ve seen real improvements in my daughter’s comfort and confidence when going to the dentist, all thanks to them. If you’re looking for a dental clinic that truly understands children and provides top-quality care, I highly recommend Children Dental Centre. They’ve earned our trust and gratitude time and time again.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this clinic. First time visiting Edmonton Children’s Dental Centre and I was completely happy with their professionalism and customer service. My child was amazed to the clinic’s architectural design (train running around the clinic by the ceiling) The ambiance of the clinic is designed for children - inviting and comfortable. The Dental assistant is very clear when explaining the options of procedures and how it’d work to my son. Overall, we are pleased to this clinic.

Fantastic experience: In a world of hate, racism, and war. This dentist office is seen as a safe space, a place where, regardless of the back ground you come from or the nationality you are, you are welcome. My children did not feel safe or comfortable at other dentist offices due to get the work done and get out as a motto but at this place the Children's Dental Centre they are comfortable to the point it feels like home away from home, from the office assistants to the dental assistants to the dentist, everyone is so welcoming and kind. As a very protective parent I do recommend this place of dentistry for children who are not quite comfortable with regular dentist as this place has T.V.s with Netflix shows for the kids as well as a comfortable, inviting atmosphere catered to kids of all ages. My children have been coming here since they were young and I have never felt like I wasn't welcomed here. In my language to say thank you is Mahsi to all staff working here.

Fantastic experience: My kids love Dr Rae and all the staff at Children’s Dental Centre. Their office is beautiful and clean and the train is a favorite! I really appreciate how great they are with kids, they always make my kids feel safe and comfortable with whatever needs to be done.

Fantastic experience: There is no way I can say enough good about this place. The staff are beyond words, they treat both my kiddos (when the time comes my third also) like family. They communicate to the kids everything, make parents feel comfortable and heard. My kids can't wait to go to the dentist and tell all their friends about it which is why we constantly recommend them. This is a shared view from any patient you hear in the facility, kids all sound happy. We came today and almost couldn't get my 3yr old out of there. Just an added plus with the train that travels through out too. They know what they are doing and truly care.
