Fantastic experience: On time. Thorough examination and xrays on my first visit. Dr. Leizy took the time to explain all the results and my different options, making notes as she was explaining. Said they would contact my dentist about some of the dental work needed to determine who would do it. Received a call from my dentist the next day to book an appointment (great coordination between the professionals). Also received via messenger, a copy of the notes Dr Leizy was mking through our discussion. Extremely satisfied.

Fantastic experience: I cant say how transformative Dr. Nault and the experience at Vancouver Island Dental Specialists was. So professional and state of the art that each of my procedures and surgery was fast, pain free and I never had any anxiety going (which I do when I go to the dentist). Fantastic experience: Very professional and well run dentist clinic.

Negative experience: Procedure itself went smooth but if you plan on getting your money back in a timely fashion, it won’t happen. It has been an absolute headache dealing with extended benefits coverage and reimbursement. They initially sent forms by mail instead of faxing, then when the forms were finally received, they weren’t fully completed and were rejected due to errors in their paperwork.

Fantastic experience: On Thursday Dec 18 I was greeted with a warm smile, taken in to exam room by Rebecca who took numerous X-rays which in my mouth is not the easiest but she made it look pretty easy. The periodontist was very gentle doing his exam and answered all my questions after going over in depth his recommendations. For me it’s an oxymoron looking forward to returning to their office. Fantastic experience: Very pleased with my experience at Vancouver Island Dental Specialists. Dental issues can be intimidating and anxiety-provoking, especially when they're more severe, and I felt like I was in great hands every step of the way. Everyone was exceptionally caring and professional, even when I completely melted down in fear a couple of times before my procedure (note....this is NOT normally how I roll). Dr. Nault and his assistants were fantastic and helped calm my nerves before they started and were excellent throughout, too. During the procedure he explained what he was doing and what I should experience/expect, which helped a lot. The follow-up phone call the day after was greatly appreciated as well. Now I just have to heal up and keep my fingers crossed that I'll be a candidate for my next preferred steps. Highly recommend this wonderful clinic.

Fantastic experience: I needed dentures and VI Dental Specialists was recommended by my dentist to do the teeth extractions. Dr Sonia Leziy was the periodontist who completed the process with the help of her assistant. Both ladies were very professional and reassuring. The total time was about 3.75 hours and a brief consultation followed. The next day Dr. Leziy called to ask how I was doing. To be honest I was so impressed with her wanting to follow up so quickly and said I could call or email her with any questions or concerns I have. I really appreciate the professionalism of all of the staff at VI Dental Specialists and would recommend this Dental office to anyone. Thanks for the amazing experience David Philion

She’s incredibly skilled, caring, and maintains the highest standard of care. Additionally, the entire team here is welcoming, professional, and makes you feel completely at ease. I trust Dr. Leziy’s expertise wholeheartedly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and her team.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nault and his staff were exceptionally kind and made extra time in their busy schedule to be able to treat my infected teeth in order to prevent me from getting sick. I consider myself lucky to be in their care. Dr. Nault is extremely gentle and skillful. My dental surgery was smooth and painless. I was actually relaxed during my treatment.

Fantastic experience: I'll be honest, I was going to give a one star review a few weeks ago. I had a rough experience as I was told not so great news. However after a lot of reflection and thought I realized they were just being very frank with me and offering options and well some life lessons I suppose. I do think they are very professional and the staff is friendly plus it's a beautiful office. We'll see where my journey goes but should it continue I have no doubts the care will be professional. Here's a tip - take care of your dental hygiene when you young otherwise it can get pretty bad. There isn't a lot on the Island and a clinic like this is something that should be appreciated. They did their best to take good care of me and now I have to do the rest and make some changes to better myself and my health.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Lesiy for about 4 years I believe. This is the second time she has removed two molars, and in this case one of them had broken off at the gum line. And as Much as I dislike Dentists and Periodontists, which I have let know, she is an amazingly skillful Periodontist. She has a unique to me method of filling the hole that the tooth was removed from by filling it with a white cell gummy and then a few sutures. Avoiding that gaping hole that would normally be left. Like the first time she removed molars I have no pain and no discomfort from her work the day after surgery. As well as her skills her technical staff which assisted her have great patient skills on the initial setup and assistance to her. The staff which go through follow up care is also clear and concise in their instructions and all of them do it with a smile and great patient skills. And last but Not least is the administrative staff, who are fabulous at sending out multiple notices of the upcoming appointment, and they always have a smile and are very quick with correct answers about ones upcoming appts and follow up. I can’t say enough about the overall professional manner of this office and the patient skills of all the staff in their respective jobs. Overall I don’t have a single complaint or concern about the care I receive at this clinic, short of expense(skills have a cost) and that’s just life. Thank you to everyone in the clinic! Russ

Fantastic experience: This was my appointment for the consultation session. The offices are beautiful. Modern, spotless, definitely up-to-date clincial environment. All the staff were very polite, patient and informative. Very professional. The consultation was extremely thorough and diagrams drawn to help me visualize the problem (and forwarded to me to help explain to my family). The options were given and I was in favour of an implant. Dr. Sonia was gentle, polite, very professional and very thorough in her examination. I felt very comfortable I was in "good hands". I am an older person with a history of "troublesome teeth". After a thorough examination by my new dentist in Ladysmith I was recommended to VI Dental Specialists for a more detailed examination of periodontal issues. The level of competent caring that I experienced, from the team assigned to me, was exceptional and never rushed: plenty of opportunities for fully answering my questions. I felt very comfortable and reassured. I would highly recommend booking an appointment. All the staff were professional, warm and caring. From Jessica at reception, Alex taking scans, and Rebecca assisting the dentist. I recently went back for the gum graft procedure by Dr. Nault and was thrilled with the results. My gums look very healthy now. I was anxious about the procedure and worried about pain at the start. But, I was surprised at how comfortable I was during the procedure. Dr. Nault is very skilled and I was thoroughly frozen. I am glad I got the Palatal Stent. I think that helped a lot with my comfort and the healing process. I carefully followed the post-op instructions and did not have any problems. I would highly recommend having this procedure done if you need it.

Fantastic experience: I was scheduled for gum graft surgery and while I was nervous, they were all so kind and attentive that made me less nervous. Didn’t feel anything during the procedure is a bonus. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I wasn't sure what to expect from a new dental office in Nanaimo as there seems to an abundance. When I walked into the building, the dental office was located on the ground floor with their own private entrance, and I was impressed with the sophistication of the architecture with a sleek interior design and the receptionists, yes that plural, were quick to acknowledge me and made me feel welcome. My wait was less than a minute before being led to an examination room that was both extremely well appointed and private, even though I was surrounded by four glass walls, frosted of course. I felt at ease and confident I would be well looked after, and I wasn't wrong. The Periodontist was relaxed, unrushed, and very thorough in his explanation of the procedures he was planning. On top of it all he was very personable and easy going. He had a quality about his demeanor, something you don't often see anymore. He earned my respect, need I say more?

If you have problems with anything to do with your procedure, Dr Sonia Lezly says call me on the weekend if you have problems. Now I don't know of anyone that takes there weekend to answer calls for patients who might have questions with the procedure they just had! Makes for an exceptional Dental Experience! The Vancouver Island Dental facility is equipped with all the latest high-tech instruments, the staff are carefully trained and highly professional - experts in their discipline as well as pleasant and courteous people. Dr. Leziy honestly detailed what I did and did not need to have done and what the timelines are for future treatments; she listens patiently, and knows how to explain complex procedures as well as the latest developments and technology. Dr. Sonia has a reputation for excellence, is well respected and admired by dental professionals all over the Island - she leads the way in her field and teaches the latest procedures to dentists who practice all over BC as well as the US. The services at VIDental are pricey - but worth every penny. Dr. Sonia and Staff make every visit a pleasant and useful experience.
