Negative experience: I’m leaving this review to share my experience. They are friendly and the atmosphere is good. When it comes to their job though, parents may want to note that although the Canadian Dental Care Plan covers 100% for children, this clinic charges 105%, leaving you to pay the difference. Other local dentists I’ve asked do not charge above the covered rate. Also, I had two molar fillings done here, one on each side. After the work, I wasn’t able to chew comfortably for months, and one side caused nerve irritation for nearly half a year. Both fillings also fell out about a year later, which I’ve never experienced before in 40 years of dental visits. When I contacted the clinic, I was told their fillings are only guaranteed for one year, so being two months past that meant there was nothing they could offer. Sharing this simply so others can make an informed choice.

Fantastic experience: This place definitely deserves 5 stars , I have never been to a dentist that makes you feel so comfortable and does such an amazing job. Dr gamble is the best and her assistant was so nice. The ladies at reception were really nice too, this will be the only place I go to when I need dental work.

The entire team is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about their patients comfort and dental health. The dentists and hygienists always take the time to explain procedures and answer questions, and the office is always clean, welcoming, and well-run. I truly appreciate the consistent quality of care and the positive atmosphere at York Dental, it’s always a great experience!

Negative experience: Don't listen to patients. Don't care about patient's quality of life. It is all about how to get the most $$ from you, and keep you coming back and spending more.

Fantastic experience: I have had severe anxiety all my life about going to the dentist and over the years they have worked with me and have made feel very comfortable about going to the dentist and i am very grateful for that .

Negative experience: I went to York Dentistry for fillings. Prior to the operation, I had no pain anywhere in my mouth. After the operation, I suffered immense pain while trying to eat. One of my teeth, which had no pain prior to the operation, was incredibly painful and sensitive afterward. The ladies gossiped the entire time while performing the operation. At one point they made fun and laughed at me while performing care. I do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Ive taken all 3 of my younger kids here. Dr gamble has been incredible with all of them. The assistant we typically get is honestly amazing, shes made my 5 year old experience there so good and helps him be comfortable there!

Fantastic experience: I never have to wait, room is ready at arrival. (for nervous people like myself that is a big plus) Michelle did a wonderful job, no rush, just taking her time to do everything very well, while keeping me informed of what she is doing and making sure im ok. Very pleased!

Negative experience: **update Aug 25** went elsewhere and was confirmed to have an infection. Was dismissed by York Dental at the post op I had a wisdom tooth extracted sitting on a nerve Aug 18. For some background, I am late 20s and the tooth just decided to impact this year. Dentists didn't think it was going to be a problem until it decided to come through. During this process, I thought York Dental treated me great getting me in as they put me in a cancellation slot so they got me in sooner. I didn't feel the sedation that much and had pain during the procedure as they had to freeze me more throughout when signalling I had pain. After the procedure, they prescribed me a lot of meds: 4 different bottles and one of those being a controlled substance; percocets with 10 pills. My pharmacy didn't have percocets so they gave me the substitute; Oxycodone as my prescription note said to give substitutes if not available. York Dental knew I was going to be in pain seeing they prescribed me all of that. Following the procedure, I also asked for a work note for recovery time from the receptionist and they said no problem and I could email them for it. I was hoping to be better anyways for work so I disregarded it unless urgent. Then two days later, I thought I was having a complication as I had excruciating pain and a day prior I had a huge blood clot leave the site of the extraction. When you look that up online it says that would be dry socket and I had so much radiating jaw pain that I was crying. As any person would, I called the office to get an appointment to make sure everything was okay. I got in and right away I had a dental assistant talking down on me and questioning my aftercare like I was doing stuff wrong. The dentist looked at it and assured me everything was fine regarding my concerns.. so great! He mentioned I still have a lot of healing to do. Then upon leaving ,again, I asked reception for a work note for tomorrow in case I needed it. It has only been 2 days to heal from a wisdom tooth and was given heavy narcotics.. I was given a note from reception then after walking out I noticed it only said to excuse me from work for this morning.. Wow..I did not ask for that.. I walked back into the office said ,again, that I needed the note for tomorrow to heal another day as I woke up in excruciating pain crying. The front desk went back and asked her manager to see if I could get one which I thought was bazaar.. After initially telling me it was no problem from my first visit 2 days ago.. The receptionist came back and stated: “The doctor doesn't think its necessary at this time to give you a work note for tomorrow.” Excuse me?? That had me flabbergasted. It has only be 2 full days since having the extraction and I'm on heavy drugs/mentioned I'm in pain when they wear off. I'm swollen as well and feel feverish..I don't think its appropriate for me to be at work on all these substances making errors.. it was no issue apparently if I emailed them to ask for a work note 2 days ago but now its a different story. I felt like as soon as I walked into their office today I was treated like a nuisance. So you tell me, being on a controlled substance/narcotic and three other drugs that I'm not usually on deems me fit to go back to work? This behaviour is inappropriate and does not make me view this establishment very well based on this treatment.. I am leaving as a patient and going to request to have my dental records elsewhere based on how they treated me. Left a voicemail of how this was inappropriate, also asked to cancel my next cleaning appointment. Great to take me in and do the surgery, then treated as a nuisance when I came back worried due to being in pain and asking for a sick note.. Most people need 3/5 days, sometimes a week or even longer.. I'm older as well so I don't heal as fast as a younger person would. I didn't think asking for a note incase I needed it just for another day would make me feel like I'm a bother and that I'm crazy for being in pain.

Fantastic experience: I reached out to several dental clinics, but York Dental stood out right away. They were the quickest to respond and incredibly attentive, their communication was smooth and professional, all through email, and they even sent reminders via text and email before my appointment, which was super helpful. The clinic is a bit tucked away, especially since I’m coming from the north side, but it’s easy enough to find once you know the area. The space feels clean, modern, and welcoming, and they’re very hygienic, which made me feel even more at ease. The staff were all genuinely friendly, and Dr. Claudia was approachable, and easy to talk to. She had such a gentle touch during the check-up that I felt completely relaxed the whole time. I’m really glad I chose York Dental and feel confident going back.

Fantastic experience: My wife & I just moved to Fredericton from the Toronto area and I was urgently looking for a dentist after an old filling fell out. York Dental Clinic was highly recommended by another dentist, Dr. Amber Andrews, who we had tried booking an appointment with but was too busy and not taking new patients. After checking their rating on Google reviews (4.9/5 after almost 400 reviews!), I had pretty high expectations coming into my 1st appt., which they booked on the same day I called! Yet Dr. Tran, Catherine and the entire staff still exceeded my expectations. Dr. Tran not only fixed my immediate problem of the missing filling but also diagnosed the underlying root cause and suggested a permanent solution to tenderness and pain in that area that I had been suffering from for years! They were also very kind, friendly, skilled and proficient. Thank you very much for your wonderful service!

Fantastic experience: Day at the spa! I have never experienced a dental cleaning with a hygienist like that ever before. She used a “ultrasonic scaler” for the majority of the cleaning oppose to the pick/hook method. Like a pressure washer for your teeth. For the first time after the cleaning I left the dentist without my gums hurting. 10/10 would highly recommend!!

Negative experience: Look elsewhere for dental services. Poor service, no compassion for patients. Misdiagnosed and unnecessarily removed my wisdom tooth and molar. costing me pain, time and money. Then allowed my 8 year old child with a cavity to leave without being properly treated.. Will not return to York dental and do not recommend.

Negative experience: I do have to say the dentist was very gentle but quite tough to understand ! I had a surgical removal with 5 stitches ! I asked what to do for pain as it was extremely painful ! He said to take advil and Tylenol ! I informed him I had naproxen and he said that naproxen and Tylenol would be the best for pain ... Well it didn't even touch the pain ! I called the office today because of excruciating pain hoping he would prescribe me something better but nope he prescribed amoxicillin! Told me to come in so he could have a look ! I was miserable ... I smile all the time but the pain was so intense I couldn't smile ! He said it was healing well and that the amoxicillin would help right away ! Needless to say I went to the doctor and he prescribed me some actual pain meds ! The pharmacist couldn't believe that I was denied treatment for the pain ! 450$ to take the tooth out and send me home in more pain than I was originally in !!!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist in town! Dr. Tran has an impeccable bedside manner and is very knowledgeable and good at her job. The staff all have a way of making you feel comfortable and taken care out. Always great work on my teeth and I really appreciate how they are not pushy about cleanings and work being done, no judgment at all. I recommend them to anyone I know looking for a dentist.

Negative experience: This is the worth clinic in the world. There is an Incompetent staff at the reception and dentists, who are not able to provide timely emergency assistance. I have an abscess of the lower jaw, but they scheduled me for an examination in 2 months, and during this time my condition worsened. And now they’re refusing to provide help again.

Negative experience: After being a happy York client for a number of years, I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at York Dental, and I want to share my story to help others avoid a similar situation. What should have been a quick bonding touch-up to keep my white smile turned into a disaster—I walked in with white teeth and left with yellow ones! Unfortunately, the dentist chose the wrong color for my bonding, and I thought fixing it would be easy so approached the situation calmly. When I first raised my concern, Maggie at the front desk was kind and eager to help, but things quickly took a turn when she involved the dentists. Instead of stepping up and offering to fix it, I was told that to achieve my desired look, I’d need veneers—an expensive and permanent solution that would require sacrificing healthy teeth. I pushed back, explaining that I didn't want a celebrity smile, just wanted my original bonding fixed. They referred me to another dentist for a “second opinion.” This new dentist had zero empathy and poor bedside manner, alarming me by suggesting I might need an emergency root canal if he tried to fix the issue. Umm these are my front teeth. He again suggested veneers. I told him I didn't want veneers and that I had been getting this procedure done for over 20 years without problems. My final interaction with Cathy, the manager, was disheartening. She seemed annoyed by my persistence, frustrated with my frustrations and offered no empathy or apology. Our conversation ended with her canceling my insurance claim and suggesting we part ways, which I agreed was for the best. I believe Cathy could benefit from training in emotional intelligence and customer service—her team and York's patients deserve better. What was meant to be a simple appointment left me feeling insecure about my smile for months as I waited for a dentist I could trust. Thankfully, my new dentist understood the situation and assured me that fixing my smile would be straightforward. In less than 45 minutes, they restored my bright white smile without any need for veneers .They also emphasized that my teeth were in good health, that no natural tooth was touched or harmed in the process and that because my procedure is so minor- it should be fine to continue long term. Thank goodness!!! While I appreciate Maggie’s efforts, the lack of empathy from Cathy and the clinic's overall accountability were unacceptable. If you value your smile and want a compassionate, understanding dental experience, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. My new dentist took before-and-after pictures, so I thought I'd share them.

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing dental clinic in all ways! The staff is warn and friendly, the clinic is spotless and their equipment is very modern and state of the art. It shows they care enough about the patients here to splurge on them in that way. I had my annual cleaning done yesterday and was in and out in no time. My xrays, cleaning and exam was all done in the chair. I didn't have to move once. Dr. Weissman is a very gentle, knowledgeable, and meticulous about her work and I appreciate that so much!:)

Fantastic experience: This was one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had. I normally don’t have bad luck with fillings anyway, but Dr. Tran went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and knew exactly what she was doing. And the quality of the work was so good, when I got up this morning I had forgotten that I’d had fillings. It normally takes 2-3 days for the teeth to feel normal again.

I have seen multiple dentists and hygienists here over the last few years and they are always so kind and helpful and I have never had a bad experience at York Dental. Every person on staff I have interacted with is professional and knowledgeable. I recently had my wisdom teeth taken out and was very anxious but they eased my anxiety and were so kind. I called a few times after with questions about my after care and Lauren the receptionist was very helpful giving me the info I needed.

Fantastic experience: S D Hi am Seiku, I called for an appointment to get my wisdom tooth removed and the receptionist Jenna was very helpful and booked me soon after getting my dental records transferred from my former dentist. When I met Dr. Enzo Mignacca he was very professional, I cherished his client-centred approach. He explained to me what needs to be done and I felt comfortable asking him any questions I might have. He told me I will need someone to drive me back home due to the sedation I will receive and I said I do not have anyone since am new in Fredericton. Guess what, this gentleman offered to drive me home after the extraction today. Kelcie, one of the dental assistants has good work ethics and I had good experiences with her too. Krista was also nice. Before, I chose York Dental, I called other places and didn’t have good experiences. I will recommend this place to anyone who needs dental services especially my immigrant populations. Thank you Dr. Enzo and Kelcie, I wish you good health, and prosperity. The biggest decision for going to them is unlike some other dentists I’ve been to, they don’t do things that aren’t necessary. Fantastic experience: For the past couple of years this is the only clinic I go to even though I travel and I'm only in Fredericton periodically. Clinic provides texts notifying of upcoming appointments with plenty of notice - that's helpful when your work schedule is constantly shifting. Very good and quick appointment and is open early in the morning so the appointment doesn't necessarily impact normal working hours. Excellent, friendly and helpful service.

Negative experience: Although we have received good and friendly care while there, they have too many patients. They did not have any room for emergency needs (broken tooth/ wisdom teeth complications) and booking anything was next to impossible. I would recommend finding somewhere else.
